A good option for my 5th wheel RV.
I have installed it, and so far it has worked well. The user/installation manual was useful and well organized. (The English language translation was not perfect, but still easy to read. I did not watch the you-tube video.) The installation was easy and pretty obvious. It took me about an hour to get it installed and the wires run neatly. I used all the supplied wiring and connectors included in the box. Pros: I added the camera to the license plate on my 41 foot long RV (5th wheel). I took power off of the parking light circuit. When tested, the unit immediately powered on and connected to the display. The field of view was wide, and the image on the display was as clear. (As clear as the factory camera/display that came on my truck.) It is not a High Definition image, but more than clear enough for backing up my trailer. ( I have not tested it at night.) The backup lines and image display options were easily configured with the mode button on the camera cord. I placed the transmitter under the trailer, and the display still reported a strong wireless signal in the cab of my truck. Cons: If the video cords were just six inches longer, I could have mounted the transmitter on the driver's side of my trailer in an out of the way spot. The video and power connectors are a little bit large and bulky, but they are the standard size. The camera mode button (on the camera cord) may or may not be water proof. Since the camera assembly is reported to be IP69, then I guess the button is water proof. I did not know how to wrap the button with electrical tape without pushing the button in. I am still unclear if the mode button needs to be protected from water.

Great Picture Quality
My older 22 ft motorhome had no backup camera and since it can park almost anywhere that a car or van can park, it is important to be able to see the blind spot that you can't see in the mirrors if you have to back out of that spot. I had planned just to have it actuate when backing up (taking 12v off the backup lights) but when testing this, I could see that the wide angle view would also help fill the blind spots on each side when changing lanes, so I also took a power feed off of the trailer running light circuit so I will have a rear view any tine I have even the parking lights on. I will take my first trip in this mode and can easily switch to the other by simply unplugging this feed to the transmitter and plugging in the other. The cig lighter plug-in is nice but I will probably ultimately hard wire this power supply to the screen. I am looking forward to the security this system will give and try to add some pix when I get of my deadline to be ready for my outing starting next week. So many toys & necessities; so little time.

This camera could have saved me money
The Installation I installed this camera on my '91 Chevy S10 at the top of the rear license plate using the existing screws. Installation was a breeze; no wires to run from the rear bumper to the monitor in the cab. I wired the camera to turn on when I put my pickup in reverse. Wiring was simple; there are three cables on the camera's transmitter and two on the camera. Two of them just plug into the mating connectors from the camera. The third cable is the red & black wire pair that goes to your backup light wires. I connected the red wire to the backup lights positive (+) wire (light green in my case) and the ground wire to the black (-) wire using a couple of automotive quick connect t-taps, available from any auto parts store. All that's required to connect wires using t-taps is a pair of ordinary pliers. No wires need to be cut. All of the wires on my S10 are exposed just in front of the rear bumper and easy to get to. The monitor was even easier. I used the suction cup attachment to attach it to the windshield right under my rear view mirror and plugged it in to the cigarette lighter receptacle. Pressed the button on the lighter plug to turn it on and it's ready to go. The button lights up so you can easily tell if the monitor is on or not. The Review After pairing the camera and monitor I was ready to give it a try. The picture is crystal clear; no interference whatsoever. You can turn the guide lines on and off from the monitor or the camera, rotate the picture in 90 degree increments, adjust the width and position (up/down and left/right) of the guide lines, and turn numbers (they call them "figures" in the instructions) on from the camera. I didn't see an explanation of the numbers, but they appear to approximate how far you are away from the object behind you. I believe they are calibrated in meters; yards is close enough for use in countries that use the feet and inches for measurement. A meter is just a little more than 3 inches longer than a yard. I used them to estimate the distance between my pickup and a car behind it and then measured the distance, and they seem to be pretty accurate. The night vision is great; I can see much more behind me than my backup lights and rear view mirror ever revealed. Very bright and illuminates well for perhaps 20 feet. Disclaimer: I was given this backup camera system for testing, but don't let that scare you off. This backup system works great in my opinion. I wish I would have had it before I backed into an RV's rear carrier. You know, the small carrier that plugs into an RV's hitch receiver. It was too low and too narrow (about 4' wide x 2' deep x 4" high) to see when backing out of my parking spot. That one cost me $145, much more than the camera costs. Thank God it wasn't a little kid ....

Great back up camera and monitor!
Ok, I have now become a fan boy of this company. About a month ago I bought a different back up camera abd monitor from them, one that can be used with trailers, and it works amazingly well. Built really sturdy, and the monitor is extremely clear. We also have an SUV and my wife isn't the best at backing up and she absolutely hates it. So I decided to buy a smaller version for the SUV to see how well it works. I am just as impressed with this one as I am with the other one. Super easy to install. The camera is waterproof and has night vision. The monitor is super clear. It's easy to see everything behind you. And you cannot beat the price for the quality of the camera, monitor, and all the wiring. Another great purchase from this company. Thank you!!!

Works great on 2004 F-250
I installed this on my F250 because a backup camera makes life much nicer these days. Particularly with a big truck and hooking up to our travel trailer. What was a 2 person job, easily becomes a 1 person job. As for this kit, the instructions are decent and if you have ever swapped out a car stereo this is no big deal. If you've never tackled anything like that, then watch a few install videos and you should be able to handle it. I do wish the cable from the camera to the transmitter was longer, I could have mounted it under one of my bed rails...as it is I have it mounted to a bed frame support under the left rear turn signals. You'll need some electrical tape, a pair of pliers, an electrical crimping tool, some extra zip ties to manage cables (and possibly strap the transmitter to your vehicle, and whatever tool you need to remove your license plate bolts/screws. I did not hardwire in the monitor, I may do it in the future. The 12v cigarette lighter plug has an on/off button, which is nice so you don't have to unplug it all of the time. Overall, it's a great backup camera kit for the price.

Updated Review!
Updated Review... I was contacted by the company selling this backup camera asking if I wanted another one for free. I explained to them that after using it while towing my trailer over a weekend, I was considering sending it back to Amazon. They instead offered me an upgraded version for FREE!! I haven't installed the upgraded one they sent me, but I'm leaving my review as a 5 star for their customer service and willingness to solve the problem. Old Review: I have not tried the night vision or the low light, but so far it’s AMAZING! I never give anything a 5 star review, but this backup camera was is AMAZING! I installed the camera on my 2019 Keystone Bullet travel trailer. I installed the monitor in my 2018 Ram. It was extremely easy to install both the camera and the monitor. They were already paired together, so no pairing needed. I have not used the camera while pulling my trailer yet, but I’m assuming it’s going to be great!

Easy install - excellent night vision - many install options.
Upon opening the box, the first thing that struck me was how much ‘stuff’ was in the box. They have included pretty much every wire, connector, and mounting method that could ever be needed. First of all, the 5” monitor can be attached to the windshield with the adjustable suction-cup mount. I have read some reviews where it was mentioned that the suction cup won’t stay attached to the glass. You need to clean the glass with a lint free towel (a coffee filter will work OK). A normal paper towel will leave lint on the window. Also, put a drop of dishwashing soap on the suction cup (spread it over the whole surface). This will fill in microscopic gaps that would cause the suction cup to loosen easily. Also included is a small stand with double-sided tape that will attach to the top of your dashboard. Third, is some double-sided tape for attaching to any flat vertical surface in the vehicle. You also have some options as to connecting power to the screen & camera. The screen can be powered using an adapter that plugs into a cigarette lighter (12volt) outlet. The plug has an on/off button on it that is illuminated when on. Really cool. Depending on whether you want the camera active all the time, or only when the gearshift is in reverse, will determine how to connect the cam power. Patching into a white light in your taillight module will only activate the camera when this light (the reversing illumination bulb) is active. The display screen will go blank whenever the camera does not have power. Patching into a running light bulb will activate the camera only when the running lights (and/or headlights) are on. You could also patch into most any source wire that always has 12v when the car is running. The kit includes some connectors that just clamp onto one of these power wires without having to cut or solder it. The camera mounts by removing the top licence plate bolts, putting them through the camera bracket, and reinstalling the bolts. I pushed the camera wire behind the licence plate bulb and found a gap I could send it into the trunk of the car (Had to lift up a plastic panel to get to it.). In the trunk, the camera wire & the power wire plug into a little module that transmit the signal to the screen. The camera has a whole bunch of customizable options to allow it to be set up just how you prefer. You can turn the backup guide lines off in case they are unwanted. Plus, you can change the width, size & positioning of the lines as needed. If you are using the camera as a forward or side facing camera, there are settings to adjust for that as well. If you do not have the camera mounted in the center of the vehicle, there is a fine tuning option to deal with that as well. It can shift the screen left/right a bit to compensate. All of these options are changed just by pressing a small button that is integrated into the cabling. Lets say you wanted to change the width of the guide lines. That is option four. Simply press the button 4 times quickly and wait a second. Now each press of the button will change the line width. When done, just wait about 3 seconds and your choice will be saved. All of this is detailed in the manual. The camera has very good night vision capability. The image will be grayscale in low lighting, but is extremely sharp & viewable. The resolution of the video isn't the greatest, but it doesn't have to be for a backup camera. Overall, I am very happy with this camera system and had absolutely no problems installing it. The instruction manual is somewhat brief, but has all of the basic needed information. There are Youtube help videos specifically for this camera model, and videos offering install help for vehicle camera systems in general. I recommend watching a few before installing.

Great RV/Camper Camera Option
I got this for a bumper pull camper to see behind the camper while driving. Much better than just using the extended mirrors on my truck and a definite plus when backing the camper up. Hardwiring a back up camera is not that hard, even for me, but not when you want to tow something, so wireless is a great option. I was not sure if the signal would make it from the back of an 18ft camper all the way to the cab of a super duty 250, but it has a range of 60 ft. Still playing around with placement ideas, since the license plate on the camper is off center. Another plus for me is the monitor can be put away when not in use. And an added plus is that the customer support is great. They respond in an acceptable time frame with anything you need help on if you are not savvy with the instructions provided. Some units come with a coupon to receive a second system for an additional vehicle. Win. Win.

Excellent for the price!
I purchase this item for my RV 5th wheel trailer. I wanted a wireless system to see behind my RV why I was pulling it. I opted to have continuous power as long as the running lights were on. I tested the system before installing to make sure that it was all working correctly, and it was. I like that it had a window suction cup mount for the video screen, so that I can move it anytime I wanted. Took me about 30 minutes to install after I read the directions thoroughly. In the directions pay close attention to section #12 about modes and settings. The camera qaulity is good in daylight mode, but the night vision picture is a bit grainy, but it is black & white picture at night. Overall, the price was great, the system works well, wireless funtion good and time will tell with the camera being exposed to the elements. If you want a decent, good priced unit this is the one.

Worked great just as hoped for.
Plugged it in and worked great. Picture was clear with guide lines and good color and contrast. The sender being wireless just needed power. Using as backup camera on skid loader for safety when backing up. Wasn't sure how the suction cup mount would hold on but so far it hasn't released once. Had all the connecting hardware included. I've been using for about 2 weeks and it does get bounced around but works every time. I'm pleased.
