This smoke tube is heavy duty, well designed, easy to use, and very functional. It even comes with a cleaning brush and a hook if you want to hang it in a vertical grill or smoker. I measured out some apple-wood pellets by filling the tube then pour those pellets into a bowl. I then microwaved them for a minute or two to insure they were very dry. I put the pellets back into the tube then I used a propane torch to lite the open end, let it burn until it is going good and hot then blow out the open flame and put it in you outdoor grill. You will have up to 5 hours of smoke plenty of time to cold smoke some cheese and when it is done fire up the grill and smoke some chicken, pork or beef. You will love this well made product that will last for many years to come.

Now I can smoke the things I grill at the same time! Be careful you don't over smoke your food though! I cold smoke for about an hour (no heat) and then light the fire and grill away! I use a mix of pecan, mesquite and oak pellets I found at Home Depot. The device is made of a high quality steel that I expect to last for many years! Try cold smoking a good quality cheese for about two hours. Then seal it up, refrigerate it for a few days to let the smoke soak thru. It's awesome!

Simple product but is a must-have for smoking brisket. When I am smoking in my propane smoker, I have to constantly open the bottom drawer to add wood. With this tube, I can load all the pellets I need and keep them in the locked cabinet closer to the meat. Description said 5 hours but I got closer to 8 (unsure if that was from the type of pellets I was using but no complaints here). Very happy with purchase.

Delivered excellent additional smoke in a pellet grill and easy to light with Big Beard fire starters that you can break apart easily to use just a little if you don't have a torch. I used a combination of pellets and smoking chips.

I have an Electric Masterbuilt upright smoker. I wanted a bit more smoke so I tried pellet smoker tube. It works great for about four hours with pellets. What I did find was it worked great when set up right but it went out on me when I placed it horizontal. It could have been something I did but I just use mine in the upright position. Lots of smoke!!!!

Use it regularly on my Weber gas grill to add smoke flavor. Found that if I elevate it off the grill plates to a shelf in the front ( bought universal shelf on Amazon GrillPro 14625 Universal Chrome Warming Rack) over indirect heat it works best. By comparison, I have Traeger pellet grill Junior which is fabulous but is not easy to maintain tempreture, especially in colder months. I use my gas Weber year round in Chicago. I use an electric heat gun to get pellets smoking in a couple of minutes

I am a rookie at smoking and trust me when I say, this thing is very user friendly. Fill it with pellets, light them on fire with a torch and then let them burn for a minute or 2 and blow them out. Voila, 3+ hours of smoking!

I've used this 5 times now in my pitboss pellet smoker. I'm averaging 4-5 hours per use, depending on outside factors. I tried drying the pellets in a microwave (5 minutes) and in an oven (200 degrees for 90 minutes. The oven dried them out too much and they burned faster in the tube. Microwave is definitely the way to go to dry out the pellets. The first couple times I used it, I was impatient and blew the flame out too soon. You really do need to let the pellets burn for 4-5 minutes before blowing them out. I would highly recommend this accessory to anyone wanting to add extra smoke to their cooks. I have not used this to cold smoke yet, but I will soon. Happy smoking.

First time I tried this was hot smoking pork shoulder (250 degrees) on my gas grill. Smoke lasted at least 5 hours - pork was fantastic! Next time I tried a cold smoke - sausage and boneless chicken thighs - and the amount of smoke coming from the grill was much greater. Smoke only lasted 2 1/2 to 3 hours but that was enough for thin sausage. I guess that with the gas burner on low it probably used a lot of the oxygen inside the grill- leaving less for the smoke pellets - which then burned slower! Might drill a couple of extra holes in my grill - that I can cover or plug, to vary the smoke rate.

Works great! Adds a ton of smoke to my Pit Boss. If I didn’t have a Pit Boss I would even use it in my gas grill to get a smoke flavor on burgers and chicken breast.
