Best Ratchet Belt I've found

This is my third "ratchet belt". The first one I bought was a "As seen on TV brand", the second one was from a brand that heavily advertises on here and Facebook. I liked the belts - but after a couple of weeks the buckle would start to pull off the end of the belt strap. I had to trim a bit off the belt strap in order to re-affix the buckle. Overtime the belt got shorter and shorter and eventually was unusable. Also in both cases the buckle became scuffed up you could see that the color was only a thin veneer. Overtime the buckles looked pretty awful. I have now had the Bulliant Slide Ratchet Belt for months now - the buckle has stayed securely affixed to the belt strap since the day I got it. The buckle still looks band new. The quality of the Bulliant belt is far superior to the other two ratchet belts that I have tried. After trying Ratchet Belts I much prefer them over a traditional belt but was disappointed in the quality until I got the Bulliant belt. I came here to order another - and realized that I should leave a review to let folks know how much better these belts are than the competitions.

It was easy to trim to the appropriate length with scissors

Attractive belt with ingenious design. The buckle has a spring loaded latch that keys into a toothed track on the inside of the belt that affords precise adjustability. This design does make the buckle a bit thicker than conventional belts. It was easy to trim to the appropriate length with scissors, thanks to waist sizes stamped inside. Well worth the price—which is less than half you’d pay for comparable traditional leather belts.

Where Has This Been All My Life?

Fantastic! I have been considering purchasing this type of belt for quite some time, and I’m thrilled to report that it’s everything I could have hoped for. With traditional ‘hole-and-buckle’-type belts, I can never seem to get quite the fit I need at any given time – either it will be so loose that my pants threaten to fall down at any moment, or, when tightened by just one hole over, so tight as to constrict my breathing. In other words, I could never find that ‘in-between’ level of comfort, and found myself constantly fighting with my belt in fruitless attempts to achieve some level of comfort. This type of belt, however, allows great precision in adjustment, rather than simply some pre-set pattern of holes separated by an inch or more, and the difference is astonishing. I will never, ever go back to using old-fashioned buckle-style belts so long as I live. Furthermore, it does not hurt that the belt is, I think, quite attractive in appearance, and is very reasonably priced. Suffice it to say, I could not be more satisfied with this purchase.

Great, innovative design

This is a pretty early review, so I will update it in the future. I've only had this belt for about a week but I can say it's a case in which engineers took a common, every day product and made it undeniably better. The leather feels like good quality, the buckle looks sharp and the latching system is innovative. Because there are no holes in the belt for the latch, you can get the perfect length. It runs quite long, but the buckle is easily removed and reattached, allowing you to cut the hidden end of the belt to the exact right length, following guidelines embossed into the leather. The latch grabs onto plastic tabs inlaid into the belt. As long as those tabs and the latch do not break, this belt should last a very long time. And for the price, I think it's definitely worth trying.

Instructions not needed, since product tailoring to size is very simple. The height of the belt is well-thought out, and will fit essentially all belt loops, with easy threading of loops. As advertised, each little click distance provides custom tailoring not seen in other belt designs. Because of the engineering design, leather should last much longer, and comfortably maintaining tightness is a given. On exterior, appears to be quality metal, quality finish, and very easy to tighten and loosen. Would certainly recommend product to others, and with a reliable vendor, the belt is sure to provide many years of excellent service.

So normally I'm not in to the hippy dippy stuff of fashion but I decided to give this a try and I'm quite surprised at how comfortable it is now I'm a big fat guy 300 pounds with my belly easily spilling over my belt so whether I am standing or sitting depends on different lengths that are more comfortable. Normally I would just get in the car and deal with the tightness of my belt but I'm surprised at how easily this is adjusted by reaching down and hitting the release which makes it a whole lot more comfortable when I'm sitting there in traffic normally I wouldn't wanna do this with a normal belt cause it looks like I'm messing around in my crotch region and that certainly doesn't look good in the public but what this belt it's a quick release which makes it a whole lot more nicer and more comfortable sitting there with a loosened belt. Then when I get out of the car it's just a quick tug and it tightens backup I have to say I wasn't entirely sure about this but I'm extremely glad I got it. Now one quick note about quality the leather itself isn't genuine hide leatherNow one quick note about quality the leather itself isn't genuine Hide leather it's just the pressed stuff so if you're Really serious about fashion and full leather grain belts this won't be the one for you but it looks fine it looks professional and for the comfort I think I found my new favorite belt I do have a slight concern about how long the locking mechanism will stand up with my big fat belly pushing on it but with as easily as it is adjusted a won't have the normal strain that's a common belt has so all try to post again and a couple months to let you know how its standing up But so far as long as it lasts me half a year then I'll poly order of 2nd one just to have it in reserve or maybe in another color

Nice belt

I'm going to sound like that guy: but I won't buy another traditional belt again. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a belt, and I was hesitant to try this because it's so different from normal belts. But, I love it. It's easy to use. I know it sounds dumb, it's just a belt, but it's great to be able to adjust as quickly as you can with this belt. It's great for when you're a little bloated and you can just click out a few clicks and now it's not tight anymore. Need to tighten it? Just give a little push and now it fits better. Most belts have holes every inch, this one seems to let you do centimeter adjustments, which makes it even better. - plus it's cool looking.

Instant all-time favorite belt

This is the first time I've tried one of these ratcheting belts, and I do not know what I waited for so long. It is hands-down my favorite belt immediately. The ratcheting mechanism is solid, the actual buckle construction is really nice and heavy-duty looking, the release has a nice-feeling knurled grip that works smooth as silk. Even the actual leather of the belt is pretty nice. The even squeezing that the ratcheting style provides keeps pants from bunching up weird, the 1-3/8 width is substantial without being too wide to easily slide through belt loops on jeans. Not only would I buy this again, I'm not sure I'll ever own another belt that is not one of these ratcheting kinds.

Great Belt, Good Value

Nice belt. If you haven't had a ratchet belt, then you owe it to yourself to get one. Once you try it, you will not want the traditional belt ever again. This particular belt looks good and will remain in top condition due to its construction. I have purchased others and would say that at its offered price, you will get the best overall value. You can cut the size down with an sharp scissors. Make sure you measure twice and cut once.

This belt is great for the price

This belt is great for the price. Great ratcheting mechanism and simple operation. I've bought Mission belts and other "high end" ratcheting belts, and this is higher quality for $30 less. I wear belts every day and need something that will stand up to abuse and this looks to do the trick. Will update this review in 3-6 months for reliability. Update: 2-16-18 Belt has held up fantastically since purchase. Slight warping of the leather but that's normal for any belt that's put through some abuse. Ratcheting mechanism works like the day I bough it. Definitely a good buy.
