Best Pan Ever! Use for everything
I already owned this pan for about ten years. After cooking with it daily, my son scratched it with a metal utensil. I was so excited to find this pan on Amazon, for less than half of what I originally paid for it. It is perfect. I use it for everything. It is large enough to make a pot of chili in it. I use it for omelets, porkchops, spaghetti sauce, stir fry, you name it. It comes with a vented glass lid. It is not too heavy to lift when full, and has handles on both sides. If you use only plastic utensils in it you should have it for a very long time. It washes very easily, and you really never need to use a heat setting above medium because it heats very evenly. I kept the old one for my son to use....it's still good...but this new one is all mine! I highly recommend this pan.

Can be a 5 star pan.
I've had this item for a year or more, even before I could really cook. Thought it was a 3 star pan, just average. At some point I noticed that the bottom of the pan wasn't flat. By that I mean that the bottom center was higher than the edges and heat was uneven across the pan. Even worse, cooking oils were concentrated around the edges, not evenly distributed for frying across the pan. Maybe that wouldn't matter so much on a gas range but mine is electric. I found a fix for this that turned a 3 star pan into a 5 star pan. Here's what I did: put some paper towels in the pan to step on and step up and down until the pan is flat all over. Check progress with a straight-edge against the bottom of the pan and it won't take long to turn this item into the 5 star non-stick pan of your dreams.

Wonder pan without breaking the bank.
There I was in the middle of making dinner and I picked up the handle of our 8-year-old pan when it snapped right off... Luckily I was just trying to transfer dinner into a serving dish but then we pondered over "well crud now we got to replace this thing but what do we get that will last as long as our old pan (or longer). We had a saucepan that broke about a year prior and had purchased a T-fal saucepan, so I looked up and was pleased that this pan was available through Amazon. A few important notes, if you have been having trouble with your nonstick pans eventually sticking it is most likely because you have overheated the pan. Meaning that you didn't have enough food, water, or what have you in the pan while you had high amounts of heat and overheated the nonstick. Being that you can tell I am a rather vigorous cook, breaking the handles and all, normal cheap pans start to show within a handful of times of use if they are going to be around for more than a few months. This saute pan has handled the beatings and still looks brand new.

I love this pan so much I bought a second one
I am a beginner when it comes to cooking but I cook often and hard. I am not gentle with this poor old pan; I dog it - I've dropped it, I tap my cooking utensils on the pan edges to get excess food off the utensils even though the pan directions say not to do that, and I put it in the dishwasher a few times a week. After a full year of enduring my treatment of it and its poor lid, it is still in great shape. It has little tons of scratches on the outsides but the nonstick surface is completely unscathed. I use this pan so much I bought a second one so I can abuse both at the same time. I would definitely suggest getting this pot if you need a workhorse in the kitchen. And if you treat it better than I treat mine - which you really should - I feel like the nonstick coating will last practically forever. Note: I only use wooden or plastic utensils so as not to damage the coating

Pretty good quality, I use it a couple times a week.
I’ve wanted a covered sauté pan for a while. I had lots of one pot recipes saved. My husband ordered this for my birthday. It wasn’t shipped on time, but it was worth the extra days wait. It’s nice and deep, heavy construction. T-fal is a well known brand for me. My nonstick pots and pans are t-fal brand. I’ve had the full set for about eight years and they’re holding up well. For the price point, that’s good! Anyway... I like this pan a lot. I use it for one pot meals a couple times a week. It’s dishwasher safe but easy to handwash too. The only feature that would make this better for me is a full metal handle. I know the directions say the handle is oven safe, but I’m wary of that. I would buy this again.

Definitely recommend
I've been using this pan for a while now and I have no complaints. PROS: -I try to be a minimalist, and this is one of only two pans I have. I like that this one can be used like a normal pan, or I can cook rice or pasta in it if I want, because of its large size. -Great for "one pot" or "one pan" meals -I like the lid. I like that I can see through it and that it has a little hole so the stuff can "breathe" -The handle on the other side is a big help for transporting this, especially when full of food and on the heavier side -Definitely non-stick -Reasonable in price CONS: -I haven't found any yet

No other will do for me
Could not buy a better pan for the money. This is my second one, and with proper care is bound to last as long as my previous one (7 years). To clean it, simply rinse it under hot water using a soft sponge and liquid dish soap; the heat of the water activates the non-stick, so left over food slides right off. . It is sturdy, yet light enough to handle, and it does not bow with high heat (unlike my $60 "bargain priced" Calphalon) The small handle is really a lifesaver for handling the pan when it's filled with food. The cover fits perfectly. This pan is perfect for cooking chicken and frying, but also for family-sized entrees (will easily fit 4 large slices of shank for ossobuco). My favorite thing to do with it is stewed, caramelized vegetables (a side dish we call Fricando in Italy), which are quite bulky going in and reduce to less than half their size.. To make it, just heat up some olive oil ( about 3 tbsp), add 1 large sliced onion, 4-5 medium sized peppers, chunks of eggplant (medium sized), 2 medium zucchini squash and 3 medium sized Idaho potatoes(3/4-1" chunks), a dash of salt, pepper, 1 tbsp garlic powder and 2 large bay leaves. Cover and cook for 10 minutes on medium high. Stir, lower the heat to simmer, add in 3-4 tbs of water (or broth) and simmer for another 15 minutes till the water is absorbed and the vegetables are caramelized. Adjust the seasonings to taste and serve. In case you have any left over, (I doubt it but it may happen), it tastes even better the next day. Have it cold or scramble eggs over it for breakfast. Enjoy your pan and your new recipe

WAS the Best pot I’ve ever owned
I’ve had this pot for just over a year. It is no longer non-stick. This pot has only been hand washed and has a few minor scratches. The non-stick left about a month ago. I’m so sad as it was my favorite pot. I still use it as I like the size and shape but it is no more nonstick than my stainless steel pots.

simply the best
There is a reason that this is the best selling nonstick pan from amazon. I've used the pan everyday since I got it with no complaints or loss of function. It works perfectly, It heats evenly, the blood stains come out of it with ease, and you can stick it in the oven with the lid on at 350. It is lighter than other T-Fal non-stick pans I've used before, which might make it seem like its going to be less sturdy but it doesn't feel less sturdy when you use it. The lighter frame makes it so much easier to carry the pan with one hand while transferring eggs onto a plate, when using two pans at once to Saute a delicious asparagus tips or even while swinging them around violently in an attempt to defend your family from an onslaught of vicious ravenous squirrels, embattled by their desire to consume all of the asparagus and eggs you have cooked so perfectly. It is described as jumbo meaning it fits a lot and hardly ever spills over. That means that you can bring several cups of water, a small amount of salt and red wine vinegar to rolling boil and poach several eggs at once, without fail making it perfect for eggs benedict. This is the same pan you drunkenly used at 2 am the night before to sautee your leftover bacon mac n cheese with spinach and added milk like an idiot. And even though you could barely stand up and you may or may not have puked inside your roomate's shoe, you still didn't spill it on the oven. Way to go JUMBO SIZE. So while T-fal might sound like the brand name an ambitious fashion designer named tony would use for his exclusive autumn collection, the T-fal Specialty Nonstick Dishwasher Safe Oven Safe Jumbo Cooker Saute Pan with Glass Lid, 5-Quart, Black is anything but. Buy it.

Great for stir fried vegetables- I use it Everyday!
I bought this the second time and still haven't used it. I've had the previous pan(also bought from Amazon) for almost 5 years now and use it almost every day. I use it for vegetarian Indian recipes. I use oil and sauté vegetables most of the time, sometimes prepare gravies too. I haven't steam cooked rice in this cooker. It is easy to clean, sturdy construction, no rusting or warping so far, heats evenly and I just got the second one because I needed an extra pan for cooking. I handwash it on most days even though it says dishwasher safe. I have used it a few times in the dishwasher when I have enough space for it on the top rack. I always use a wooden spatula. i keep the heat anywhere between medium to medium high. I've used it on gas range, electric coil range and smooth top/ hot plate range.
