Does what it’s supposed to.
Nice lame. No complaints. Would buy again. I find if I wet the blade with each cut it makes for a nicer cut in the dough

Very good product
Very good product. I need to practice more though. It comes with instructions on how to use as well and extra blades. Here is a photo of my first scoring

Great addition to our baking supplies
A bred lame, who knew? I think it’s pronounced lahm, and although we’ve been making bread in my house for years, we never realized what a difference this could make when scoring bread. If you’re just going for function, you can get away with using a serrated knife or another very sharp instrument, as we’ve done for a while. Bu the razor and the accompanying handle let you get into more intricate designs, and with the curvature of the blade we can now get the proper lip on long breads that we couldn’t get before. Obviously you’ve got to be careful when handling the blade, but it’s very simple to position the blade onto the handle. The included instructions are illustrated and easy to follow. The blades are surprisingly made in the U.S.A., and they come individually wrapped in a box of five. It’s also good that it comes with a storage case so that you can store it safely that way. My first couple of tries at scoring the grigne (lip) on long bread are… Shall we say a work in progress? But I have no doubt I’ll get there with my new lame.

Works well
It works really well and has made very nice lines on my bread loaves. It has also made a few lines on my fingertips, so be careful!

Not lame but it is a lame.
The lame works as expected. Nicely crafted and looks great. It was a nice move up from using a standard razor blade. It was a bit sketchy installing the razor onto the lame, but I was successful without cutting myself. It was a first time go at scoring my sourdough. It cut with ease and didn't catch. I'd love to use this more, but I don't think my waistline can handle it. This would make an excellent gift for your loved one who enjoys baking bread.

Great product!
Easy to handle and works just as expected. Assembly was easy and come with instructions. Easy to follow and clean. Makes scoring bread a breeze.

A Frequent Bread Baker
I make bread frequently and usually score the dough with a knife. I am so pleased with the lame--it is so much easier to use than a knife and makes a much cleaner score.

Looks great and easy to use
This bread lame is super cute. The handle is comfortable to hold and getting it ready to use is a breeze. Be sure to handle the blade carefully as it can slice through skin without you realizing it. I’m extremely happy with my purchase. The little box to keep it in while not in use is amazing and I love it all

It's a Lame
There isn't a simpler scoring tool. It cuts the dough and it does that well. I was concerned that I might cut myself when I installed the blade, but there was nothing to worry about. The storage box is great, easily fits into a drawer.

Great!
I’m new to bread baking and recently invested in some basic tools. I tried scoring dough with a knife for a bit, but this is definitely better! Took a little while to get the hang of it, but now I loooove it!
