Building my family tree

This is the best investment I could have made to build my family tree. Don't know all it asks thereby connecting with other family members to "fill in the blank". Highly recommended!

This is the best of several products I have used in past years ...

I have been using this software now for several years to development my family history. It works seamlessly with Ancestry.com, FindaGrave, and,with the newer version of software, MyHeritage and Find my Past. There is a minor inconvenience in installing the software in that the icon used to start the software must be placed on the desktop from the Program Files (x86) installation folder. But once the software is working, a lot of resources are made available to develop your family history. This is the best of several products I have used in past years for this purpose. I am also aware that all family tree software is improving with time, not just Family Tree Heritage. To address this, Family Tree Heritage allows export of data using industry standard GEDCOM format.Individual Software Family Tree Heritage Platinum 9

Family Tree Heritage is a Great Program

My wife got me hooked on Family Trees since she has Ancestry subscription. This program linked to the Free Family Tree of the Church of the Latter Day Saints, which has a lot of great information. Program loaded fine and started typing in my name and went from there. Program states you need a serial number from the cd sleeve, which was missing. Went to Family Tree Heritage support and they supplied me with the serial number, which it turns out, if you have the cd, you don't need the serial number. Lots of fun finding relatives. This program also will print out all sorts of reports so you can visualize your line. (I didn't know my grandfather was born in Ireland.) You will find that in any ancestry search that you will be paying along the line for information, so be prepared for that. This is not a fault of this software! Have a good time seeing how far back you can go and find out what your relatives did for a living!

Easy to use

I have over 5 thousand names in my family tree and this program loaded from GEDCOM effortlessly. I had used Family Tree program for 15 yrs and was worried that all my information would load. It did and this program is very easy to use. I have it loaded on both my old system 7 PC and my system 10 laptop.

Easy to use; affordable

For the price this program is great! Its very easy to use...I had it up and running within minutes. Adding information is simple and very similar to a previous program I had. I was also happy with Amazon's return service on this product. The first disc arrived damaged and would not work. I followed the prompts for a return, printed a receipt, took it to a local Kohl's for drop off (no box or postage needed) and had a replacement copy within days. Happy with this experience overall.

Greta Product for Amateur Genealogists!!!

A nice upgrade from my Broderbund Family Tree Maker. I've been able to make a very smooth data transition from my older software to Family Tree Heritage. I'll be exploring all of the aspects of this great software for quite a while. Thank You!!!!!!!

A Good Basic Program for Beginning Genealogists

For the price, this is a good basic genealogy program for beginners. It is easy to set up and it is inexpensive and requires little space on my PC. This program doesn't have all the features of Family Tree Maker but, it does all that is needed to compile and organize family history information for those starting out plus, it has the charts family historians are looking for.

Excellent Genealogy Tool

Great program, easy to use. You can download an existing tree from Ancestry to this software or upload information to Ancestry. You can enter data online or offline, and it works in conjunction with Ancestry when online. I believe it's the best software of its type available.

fantastic works great with windows 10, was not sure from other comments. Had search and found all my old files. Even converts old paf files and or gedcom files from other tree maker programs or you can start new ones..
