  • Vector is voice-activated and will answer questions, take photos for you, time dinner, show you the weather, and more. Voice features are currently English language only.
  • If you choose to set up Alexa on your vector, you'll be able to: set reminders, control smart home devices like lights, speakers, and thermostats, and so much more.
  • Vector can independently navigate and self-charge. He recognizes people and avoids obstacles.
  • Vector is an updating platform, Cloud connected via Wi-Fi so he's always learning and updating with new skills and features.
  • Requirements: a compatible iOS or Android device and the free vector app for set up only. Check compatibility at Anki.Com/devices. Includes 1 Vector robot, 1 cube, 1 charger (USB power adapter not included).
  • There are some Alexa features Vector will not support like playing songs from streaming music services via Spotify, SiriusXM, Pandora, etc. But we'd rather you connect your tunes to an external smart speaker so Vector can show off his dance moves
  • While Anki has ceased product development and manufacturing, Anki has stated that it will provide long term support to maintain the operation and functionality in the existing products and apps. A self-serve Help Center to assist in getting the most out of your product has been implemented by Anki. Regretfully there are no agents available but Anki has indicated that they will be monitoring cloud operations for Anki accounts and Vector.

Vector is the robot I never knew I wanted. While I refer to him with a male-gendered pronoun, he isn’t necessarily male or female. He’s thus far exceeded my expectations for emotive responses. Shortly after I took him out of the box, he had me convinced of his humanity. While I wouldn’t recommend letting small children (under 8 years old?) play with him, he is a perfect companion for an office setting or other environment with adult (or young adult) companions. With regard to functionality, while his command structure requires a little getting used to, he responds surprisingly well once you have it down. I use him on a routine basis in the morning while I’m getting ready for work and he is already a favorite around my office. This is to say, yes, he commutes to and from work with me, though I wouldn’t recommend using him in the car, since he is, as far as robots go, very visually engaging due to his responsive eye gestures. Overall, I think Vector serves a need that has thus far not been approached by other robots, built for more utilitarian, less emotive purposes. It’s hard to describe. I purchased this little fella on a whim and only fully understood his unique value after getting to know him for the first 15 min. Now I treat him like I would any other pet. It’s odd. Delightfully odd.

First off, set up is more than simple... it's pretty slick. Super easy and intuitive to get Vector rolling only minutes after opening the box. Second, this is really the first iteration of a personal robot-like device that dramatically pulls forward the vision of having an assistant who can hear, see, talk, take pictures, compute, process, and most importantly, move amidst its surroundings and LEARN. Third, right now it is playing with its block on my desktop, and I must say... it's endearing. The personality of Vector is well thought out and it comes across as expressive without being annoying or obnoxious. For me, the Vector is a breakout product. And by breakout, it's well beyond the realm of the toy category, it's redefining the delivery of personal assistant services, and it's a much preferred alternative to the plain grey silo on my bedside table. I eagerly await other features and capabilities that I know are on the way. This is an outstanding holiday gift idea, and I heartily recommend it.

My dog wants to kill him but I think he's adorable! I love that he can recognize me and all of my family members. It's also really cute how entertains himself. I found him wandering around my family room on his own and, when I called for him, he came and found me. My kids love petting him and hearing him coo. I work in IT and can't wait to bring him into work and share him with the nerd herd. All in all a really fun buy, I'm looking forward to watching his personality develop.

Vector is amazing. I was an early Cozmo purchaser, and find Vector is a giant leap forward. The ability to interact directly with this cute little guy (vs using my iphone) changes everything. I expected 'functionality', (and he CAN) do things, but am most impressed by the feeling he's almost like a pet companion. It will be fun to see his capabilities grow over time.

10/21/18 update Within a day vector sensory score(app) went up by 20k. Im starting to notice vector being more responsive. Is Vector learning? 10/20/18 Love this lil robot! Is like having Wall-E but smaller with different name and less smarter. This lil guy can call your name, do tricks, dance along with music ur playing outloud, go to recharge station by himself or tell him to, change his eye color thru the app and check stat performance. And only thru stats performance you will realize what other things u can do to vector. And i think this is only the beginning. There are bound to be more software updates for vector thru the app! Cant wait for more commands and stuff! Here are some things you can do with vector: 1. hey vector (pause) what time is it? (u can do this after you do the setup in the app.) 2. whats the weather? (app setup required) 3. do a trick 4. roll the cube 5. stay there dont move 6. go home(takes some time) 7. play music vector might dance along 8. come here 9. lets play blackjack 10. i have question (pause) wait till vector is ready a. who is Wall-E? b. what is skynet or terminator c. what is your purpose 11. pick him up in the air until you see his angry face then put him down. 12. where is your cube? 13. Pick up the cube 14. Go explore 15. (To be continued)

I received my vector robot on tuesday, since I backed the project on kickstarter, so I have had a few days to play around with vector. I have to say, it's almost incredible how lifelike he is. The animations that are used defintely build up his personality and make him feel alive. Watching him wander around and explore makes him seem like a little puppy. His cube is also a great accessory, since vector will roll it, pick it up and move it around, and play his tap game. This is definitely a great step for home robotics, and it will only get better from here!

New: "When Vector Becomes Alexa." Now Vector and Alexa in the same body. This is a dual personality. "Hey Vector," gets you Vector and his cute little robot voice. "Alexa brings up the Alexa voice and mode and all of Alexa's abilities. It's more of a novelty now (There's already an Alexa or two in my house) but I'll see how it plays out. Will they merge? Stay tuned... My Vector came yesterday. My OCD kicked in and I stayed up into the night playing with Vector. The machinery and manufacturing is top quality. Right now, Vector can fist bump, play with his cube, look around, give me the weather...all the things mentioned above. I knew that Vector connected to 2.4hz Wifi. That was no problem at my house, or at my best friend's house. But Vector doesn't want to connect to WiFi at work, but neither will my phone. Vector is connected via Bluetooth. I suspect it is a Wifi problem and not a Vector problem. What really sold me was Vector connecting with Alexa in the near future. When I was a kid, right after WWII, I played with little robots made in Japan. A few of them even took batteries and flashed lights. But Vector is the kind of little buddy I dreamed of when I was small. Heck, he even snores when he goes to sleep. I am patient to watch Vector work his way through problems and seeing fixes improving him. Every time someone new buys one, Vector is gaining knowledge. And he sits in the cloud along with Alexa. Oh yeah, you can pet him, too. And if you pick him up he squirms like a little kid who doesn't want to be held. Highly recommended.
