I wish I would have bought this sooner. The lighting makes a difference in videos and photos. Set up was very quick and easy. I was super impressed with the quality of the light and stand. Using this to record my vlog and really love it!

Love it!! Perfect amount of light, love the flexible option. Does not get hot. So glad I paid the extra money and went with this one!!

This lighting kit was so easy to set-up that I was able to do a self-tape acting audition just minutes after I opened the box! My video looked GREAT, and the versatility of both intensities & color temperatures gave me a wide range of choices for the right look!

This light is awesome!!!! One picture is with no lights on. One has flash and the best one has this light on! Major difference! This is really going to help make my videos really consistent and professional! So excited! The only thing I wish it had its a remote to adjust lighting and connect to camera/phone from afar... Can't have it all I guess!

This is a review for the CroLED 18 Inch Led Ring Light. We bought this light for our children, which are enjoying making youtube videos (but are not professionals), and we thought a ring light would give them a better look. We researched some options and focused on what was important for us. 1 — We did not need a remote control (which would be important for a professions such as a make-up specialists) 2 — Lowest cost (since this is for amateur use) In the end, the CroLED stood out because it had many nice features — without the extra cost — such as a digital control panel where you can see the brightness of the light (from 10 to 100), and the temperature of the light (in Calvins). This allows us to be consistent from video to video. FYI, the 4 digit number on the back of the control panel is actually a 2-part number. The first 2 digits are the Calvins Temperature with a control knob on the left, and the last 2 digits are the brightness with a control knob on the right. For example if it reads 4850, it means it is 4800 Calvins, and it has a 50% brightness. We had to figure that out ourselves because it wasn’t clear from the amazon description or user reviews. It has all the tools for connecting a cellphone (such as iPhone) in the middle of the ring. Also it has a tripod stand, carring bag, etc. It also has a USB port directly on the control panel that we found useful (other lights do not have this). In the end, the CroLED was a great choice for us, and I cannot imagine other lights creating a better light source (since this is very powerful, and easy to use). However, if we would've needed this in a more professional setting (such as a photographer Studio, Agency, or in a client space), we would have checked what the competition had to offer for more money, at least in terms of construction of the light itself, which is not bad at all, but I am sure could be more high-end.

I ordered this light ring to provide lighting for two purposes: 1) taking pictures of things I plan on selling that are too large for my light box. 2) for my wife to use for Facebook Live. Here is the good: LIGHT - I like the ability to control the light temperature. Its not the best quality light spectrum that you can buy, but when I want blue light and the wife want the warmer light we both get our way. The ability to smoothly move through the spectrum is nice for fine tuning what I am looking for. It has two rings of SMLED, one ring you get the blue, the other is the warm light. Turing the dial spins one ring up and then starts dimming the other ring, if that makes sense. The other knob is for dimming both rings. It is plenty bright for my purposes, and dims down nicely so you can use it up close without washing out. CONTROLS - The dials work fine and don't feel too cheap. The power is a simple toggle switch. The digital readout is nice, though I can't say how accurate it is. Still, if I set it to a specific number and I like it, I can record that number and use it again without fiddling. Anyway, it works for me. I will add that the USB port for powering the phone is very helpful. STAND - The stand is a little weaker than I would like, but its good enough for my work. It is certainly enough to support the light fully extended and in any position, but you may have to find the right leg position on the floor to make it feel solid and safe. If you don't extend it that high you probably won't have any issues. The stand knobs are okay, good enough to do the job. I haven't had anything slip, but they aren't that accurate. Or maybe the flex in other components makes them feel less accurate. Either way, it works well enough for me and I just re position the whole stand to get what I want. It comes with a standard camera mount and a phone "vise" so you can use your mobile. These particular components feel of lesser quality than the rest of the stand. They do work. For the phone it is probably fine, but if you have a heavy camera you might be careful with it, or use your own mount. I do have some concerns on how long the stand will last, so I am not planning on doing lots of adjustments or breaking it down for travel. I pretty much leave it up in the corner, pull it out when I need it, and try to get what I am looking for by moving the stand first, then adjust second. POWER BRICK - The big issue in my experience is the power brick. The cable is just too short. The barrel connects to the base of the light, but if you want to extend the right height up to say, standing height the brick hangs from the base. This doesn't cause the barrel to pull out but it does put unnecessary stress on the cable. A couple of zip or cable ties solves the issue, but it would have been nice to have something that would reach the floor. In addition to chewing up over half the cable length reaching the ring, now you have that much less cable to reach an outlet. I'd rather not have to use an extension cord but sometimes it is unavoidable. Just a few more feet on the barrel side of the brick would have done the trick. To the PL'er on this...upgrade the brick and you have a winner. At any rate, I am happy with the light ring. If you have the need for a big, bright light that you can use at distance with larger objects, or you need the versatility of the ring light with a camera mount this might work for you.

So far this light is working the best of all the ring lights I’ve ordered, it’s really good quality!

I bought this as a gift - so I haven't seen it yet. But my daughter loves it. She got it assembled quickly and started taking pics. No problems. It is going to a wedding this weekend to be a part of the photo booth corner .

This light ring is very impressive, both in features and quality. You can control both the light lumens output, and the color temperature. On full bright, it is suitable for a single light portrait. Color temperature ranges from a cool white to warm "sunset" look. The tripod stand is of good quality as well. The ring itself comes with a zipper carry bag, and my only minor gripe is that it would be a nice touch, and a big convenience to have included a bag for the tripod. This would round out a very nice set up. So I went ahead and gave it 5 stars when 4.5 might be more accurate.
