Likes: - Includes more than necessary to install: individuals leads and fuses for every type of fuse out there. - Quality crimps and components - Good length on the cables - Well packaged - Excellent price Dislikes: - It *may* interfere with your fuse box cover, although it is not very likely. - The extra slack cable has to be stored somewhere. Would be nice to have a way to shorten some of them. I would recommend this as a time and aggravation saver when installing a Dash Cam. It gives a cleaner final outcome compared to the OBD plug that comes with some Vantrue cameras. By the way, this works on all Dash Cams that take a mini-usb plug and 5V. You can choose to install it on an ACC switched circuit (key on) or an always on circuit, depending on your use case. If you want to have 24/7 monitoring, including motion detection, you need to have an always on circuit, which is what I did. Most cameras will shut off the main power and recording until they sense either a shock (acceleration) or motion is detected (check your specific camera's specs for this option) at which time, they will turn back on and record. Hence the need for always-on power. To install the only tool you will need is one to loosen a bolt and slip the u-shaped ground connector around the base and re-tighten. Everything else requires just hands. Some may find additional tools useful, but they will not be necessary.

Got my Vantrue N2 Pro along with this hardwire kit. Had it installed at a local shop (because I'm not savvy enough to do hardwire installs), and it works perfectly. In the month that I've had the camera and hardwire kit, it has paid off pleasantly. Video quality for the forward and interior shots is superb, and it actually helped fight a speeding ticket even without the GPS module (would have been easier with the GPS speed displayed). Will definitely be getting this kit and camera for all my family vehicles!

I bought this for my Vantrue N2 Pro dash cam. I new I wanted my camera hard wired when I first thought of getting one. I didn't like the idea of multiple things plugged into my cigarette lighter. This kit makes it possible to install the dash cam directly into the fuse box of the car which gets rid of the ugly wires throughout the vehicle running to the cigarette lighter port. I installed this in an empty fuse port but you can very easily install this in the same fuse port that already has a fuse in it. This allows both the new camera and whatever the device that is already fused to run from the same place, but you can use different fuse amperage for them. I ran the wires behind the dashboard and up and around the outside of the front windshield and had extra wire length left over. All tucked in neat and clean. I am considering purchasing another kit to hardwire my Garman Drive 50 into. Recommend to others if you don't like seeing wires running up to your windshield for dashcam.

Cord was (just) long enough to run through the dash, under the carpet, ub the A beam, around the glass and into the Mount. If you wire it into something that only gets power when the ignition is on, the camera will turn on when you drive and off when you aren't. I first had it wired into constant power but it was recording 24/7 and would fill my storage quickly then was basically useless. So if you wire into constant, you need to remember to turn it off when you are done driving, unless you want to park and passively collect video of something ;).

We have two Nissan Leafs, the original and new version. I bought two kits to go with our Rexing V1 cams and both worked great. The kit has various options for fuses, one of which works for the Leaf. The wiring easily ran through the trim and molding to the fuse box on the driver's side. Now we don't waste our accessory adapter on the dashcam.

The kit basically has everything doesn't matter what kind of fuse box you have. The wires are also protect no need for a tape but if you would like to use go ahead. I hooked it up with my N2 Dual dash cam . The camera itself is awesome it records everything even in dark but the high quality recording drinks camera battery juice really fast! Hardwiring it was the only choice. If you are a everyday driver dotaxi/uber , I highly recommend you buying the camera with hardwire kit and 256gb sd card. Trust me it's worth it.

I used this hardwire kit to installed my Ventrue Dascam in my car. I was very impressed on how EASY it was to do it. I am not very well with this sort of things by any means, but let me tell you. I looked up for the instructions on how to do it and the vendor sent me the video and I was able to do the WHOLE thing and maybe 30/40 minutes. If you are looking for a kit to installed your DashCam ..... this is it man. Great, awesome, amazing. The best part is that any questions you may have, the vendor answer you right away. He is with you to help you on anything you need. I love his product and I will buy from this vendor again. A+

This one is a few dollars more than what you find on amazon, but its worth the money considering they give you 4 different kinds of fuses just in case. Set up was really easy, the fuse slot was a bit tight so you'll have to really shove the fuse in there, but overall it was easy to install and it worked like a charm for my dash cam.

This was a must for my dash cam setup, I didn't want wires exposed and power source from the cigarette lighter that it came with. It only took me maybe 30 minutes since I took my time making sure the wires were snugged against the rubber seals for a clean install. A 12-Volt DC Automotive Circuit Tester is needed so no guessing game where to tap your power source.
