Fantastic Frame worth the premium price
We purchased two of the Aura frames, after debating for years about getting a photo frame. Our main purpose was to have a frame our the grandparents, who just recently got internet and do not do anything tech. We live across the ocean from them, so any frame with a memory card or solid app would not work for us. We also wanted to have a frame that actually looked nice and fit it like it was supposed to be there. Aura delivered on all of this - and we were happy to pay the premium price for this premium product. The photos are beautiful, and setup is a breeze (simply download the app, turn on wifi and bluetooth, and enter the code on the frame in the app). It is also simple from a user perspective. This weekend, one of our frames showed "Not Connected" in the app - and all I had to do was call Grandma, say "could you see if it is still plugged in?", and when she plugged it back in, the frame connected and starting displaying photos again. Simple, as it should be. The frame is well made, and looks like it is a piece of art in your home. In fact, we are looking at purchasing more frames for ourselves and the other set of grandparents. Everyone who sees it can't believe that it is a digital frame. Highly recommended! You will not be disappointed if you get this frame.

I love it!
This is the nicest picture frame I could find. I spent hours adding old and new photos to the screen, and seeing my old friends, and new friends, all the time, has made me thoroughly enjoy sipping coffee on my sofa. This is an amazing product, and I hope to get more for my family for the holidays!

Exactly what we needed!
We have been looking, for many years, a solution to let an elderly (and not tech savvy) family member share in our digital pictures and have bounced from various different items that never fit the bill. We had some luck with a chip reading frame early on but those kept getting fancier and fancier with too many options that ended up being as, if not more, confusing than using an iPad or tablet. With our new Aura frame, the tech-y bits have been assigned (such as uploading photos, display options and the additional bonus of picking which photo to immediately show on the frame) to those with the smart phone apps and the rest was just "plug and play" which has been such a relief. We were able to get the frame up and running within the few minutes it needed to power up and grab the wifi password (off the phone) and showed it off easily. We spent the holiday using Google's photoscan to digitalize favorite family photos and immediately add them to the frame. Everybody is looking forward to finally being able to add photos to the frame's rotation on a regular basis. While it's not instantaneous, it is still very easy and a smooth process. The gestures are also very useful to flip through the photos and infinitely more intuitive then using a touch screen for our elder. If anything, I would suggest the information/text on the photo when you swipe up to be a bigger font as it is difficult to be far away enough to navigate the photos consistently and be able to read the info. (But as this isn't really something that needs to be done with each photo, it is not much of an issue.) Thanks so much for creating such a great product and remembering that there are still some non savvy tech people out there who have been feeling left out! (Our elder once had an iPhone front side down and couldn't figure out how to turn it back on!) We are looking at getting more frames for the rest of the family/friends, who ARE tech savvy due to the ease of use and photo quality!

The most beautiful gift
I recently purchased this frame for my mom’s birthday. It was super easy to set up and I love that my siblings and I can add photos to mom's frame from anywhere (we live overseas and it makes both her and my dad feel closer to our life away from home). She’s already claimed this to be the most beautiful gift she’s ever received. Highly recommend this frame for a loved one.

Good Picture Quality and Looks Great
I bought two of these for mother's day, one for my wife in the pearl white (stardust) color and one in dark blue (slate) for my mom. While the price is high, the packaging and everything else are premium, this is kind of the iphone of digital picture frames. Pros: - The frames seem to be of good quality. In one of my pictures you can see the power cable is a very nice fabric braided cable which feels nice and even comes with a suede and metal cable tie. Also, the stand is as far as I can tell a heavy piece of solid metal. - I am a hobby photographer, so I take pride in some of the images that I've captured and this frame does a very nice job of displaying them with very good quality. The screen is not matte like most lcd screens, but not too glossy either. This is probably the best part of the frame. - Once set up, you can easily have people add photos from their phones to the frame. - There is also a camera for gesture controls. You can use it to change the images either forward or backwards, and you can also "like" a photo. - The frame can automatically sense light in the room and turn itself off at night. Cons: - There is no off button in the app or on the frame. There are two settings: auto will sense the light in the room and if you turn off the lights at night, it will shut off automatically. However, it will stay on in the day which might be wasteful if you're not home. You can also set a timer, but the only workaround I have found is to set the timer to turn on at a certain time, then turn off 5 minutes later. So, not off, but off for all but 5 minutes in a day which is acceptable. - When you send an invitation to others to contribute to the frame, it didn't send emails (as far as I can tell) to people to join, I needed to text them to tell them to install the app. Once installed and they logged in, then it would let them know in the app that they had been invited. - If you're gifting this to someone who might have trouble connecting it themselves (like my mom), then you need to know a lot about their wifi network to set it up ahead of time. I'm pretty good, but I don't remember my mom's wifi network name exactly, so it was easier for me to give it to her and set it up at her house. This is not a big deal, but if you are sending this to grandma and you can't physically be there to help her, I might be worried. Conclusion: While the price is pretty steep, I think that the build and image quality seem to be worth it. The real question of value will be answered in time. I feel like if this frame can last for a few years, then it will easily justify the cost. However, if it doesn't last at least two years, I would probably not get another one. I think that this is a great option and it would be practically perfect if they would add an on/off switch in the app down the road. My wife and mom love it, and I think that this would make a great gift for anyone.

Super impressed with this product!
I'm not really one to write reviews but from delivery to installation, I've been really impressed with it. It makes living in a small city apartment feel a bit more special because I always have photos on hand that remind me of old memories at a moment's swipe. First of all, I was blown away with the packaging! It was such a beautiful box that I removed the tray and am now using it for storage. And installation was super intuitive. Big plus that it connects to Google Photos as I've been using that to store all my photos for years now. Too easy!

Functional, stylish and a great addition to the home
I am a new Aura Frame owner and so far I am completely blown away. The frame arrived in the most beautiful box, it is extremely easy to set up and connected with no fuss to my home wifi network. I invited family members who live overseas to share their own photos to my frame. I already love having this in my home and especially love waking up each morning and being reminded of special memories both past and present. I definitely purchase additional frames for family members and friends this year, it is a great gift idea. All in all the frame functional, stylish and a fabulous addition to the home.

Quality frame worth the money!
I am normally not one to leave reviews on products but I am so impressed by this purchase that I thought it worth the time to write about it. This frame is pricey but you definitely get what you pay for! The quality of the pictures in the display is unremarkable. The frame itself is beautiful and can be used horizontally or vertically. It can also be mounted to the wall or displayed on a table. The frame hibernates at night and turns back on upon daylight. There is a hand sensor on the frame that allows you to change the rotating pictures on display at any time. What I do like most is that the your aura account allows you to add friends and family, in which they can send you photos via the frame and app to be displayed. The price tag is high but it is worth it. The frame itself is beautiful and a good size. The quality of the photos on display are so crisp and pristine; this is where your money is going.

This is the one you want
If you're looking for a digital picture frame... this is the one you want. The frame is nice... it looks good from all angles (picture and frame too)... the picture quality is top notch... software is 9/10 (but as good as anyone else's). Also, easy setup to use with older family members over the phone... JIC this is an issue for you too. I have 3, I bought 1 for my wife's parents, 1 for my mom... and recommended to countless others.

Jealousy-inducing
We gifted this to my mother in law, so we can only speak for what we did for set up and what she says about it The set up is EASY. I wish there were a way to add photos in bulk, as we had a hundred picked out (from several thousand!) And had difficulty getting them all on the frame. That's okay, we managed to get about half of them on using a work-around temporary Google account. The rest, we can add easily as we think of it. Adding photos every day is super easy. The app is intuitive and easy to use! It's also nice that everyone who has access to the frame can download the photos. I felt bad that we were sending photos to the frame and not to my sister in law, but she confessed she had been downloading them from the app, anyways. Probably means they're higher quality, too, so that's wonderful! The frame is classy looking and is easy to use. My MIL will just sit in front of it and wave, Haha! She's using the gesture motion to switch photos. She can also favorite photos, though I'm not sure what that does. Maybe it means that photo comes up more frequently? It is disappointing that the frame doesn't handle orientation differences well. You can adjust it in the app, but we found that when we moved a bunch on the frame initially, it didn't choose well on where to crop the photos. The quality of the frame is top-notch! It looks classy. Nice that it goes to sleep when it's dark. Saves power and doesn't show when there's no one to show. Good high resolution screen. Price point seems a bit high, but the quality feels better than other frames, and it has a lot of nice features that cheaper frames don't come with. My MIL gets a lot of people commenting on the frame. She says she's had some very jealous visitors. We'll need to buy more for my Father in Law, and my Mother. Once we can afford another frame!
