For years we have used the Infant Optics DXR-8 baby monitor. This was supposedly the best reviewed on on Amazon. Well, for us, it had horrible battery life and had nonstop interference where it would cut in and out. Needless to say, we had been looking for a while now for a replacement but other options had even worse reviews. Enter eufy. I'd bought a few Anker cables and chargers over the years and on the lightning deals page it said eufy had a sale specifically on the new baby monitor. Well, in case you didn't know, eufy is Anker's new home products brand. I've been happy with Anker's stuff so I figured at this sale price it was worth a shot. Well, don't let the small number of reviews stop you. This is HD, has a very long battery life, has zero interference, and a very accurate temperature gauge as well. The Infant Optics one was way off, by the way. So in summary, I've had it only a couple weeks but it sure is better than the bestselling, much more expensive Infant Optics model. Go with this model from eufy.

It just worked out of the box, didn't need to sync or anything. The battery life is very good, clearest monitor I have ever had, previously had VTech and Summer Infant, but broke (part where charging plug broke, those lasted about 2 years each). I hope this one lasts longer. I have tried/returned other brands too, this is by far the best baby monitor I have seen. Only negatives, but not enough to knock it down a star, since other brands have this same issue: the camera itself has an annoying bright white LED light, that currently can't be turned off (surprisingly my other baby monitors have also have a similar annoying light - don't company's understand that babies sometimes can't sleep with bright lights?). Eufy customer service was very responsive, and said they may come out with a firmware update to change this. I just put a piece of black electrical tape over the light and that did the job. Have not had any link/sync issues (my old VTech baby monitor had that issue a lot). I also like how it can work in the dark and not have visible red lights on the camera (my old VTech baby monitor did). I wish the battery was self replaceable, but the battery right now lasts a very long time, I can get through an entire night unplugged (my old ones could not), but hopefully it will last several years and I won't need the monitor anymore by that point. I like how it uses microUSB, easy to charge the monitor in multiple places since we have an abundance of microUSB cables and we carry the monitor around the house. I wish it has a better wall mounting system, it uses a kind of pie slice shaped corner wall mount, instead of a direct all mount like other brands. I ended up putting it on top of a bookshelf, so not a big deal for me, but not everyone may have that set up available. I have many other Eufy and Anker products, and when I have had to use customer service for warranty replacements, the service has been amazing. The build quality on this excellent and what I come to expect from Eufy/Anker. All in all though I have to give this 5 stars when compared to other baby monitors, because of its ease of use, long battery life, very clear monitor and build quality. There simply is not a better baby monitor available.

I have bought four or five video baby monitors; all of them come up short compared to the eufy Video Baby Monitor and it's not even close. I never get a signal out of range message like other ones I have used. I don't have to wait for the video to load like to other ones I have used. I don't have always keep it plugged in like other ones I have used. This monitor actually has a great battery life unlike other very high selling ones on amazon. The picture and sound quality are great! I do not get give 5 stars often but this monitor is truly deserving of it.

We bought into the hype of the infant optics monitor and I have hated that thing since day one! Terrible battery life, terrible picture, and terrible connection. Finally broke down and bought this one and I am completely amazed. The picture quality is fantastic. I can actually see my baby’s chest moving to make sure he’s breathing. The connection has yet to cut out, unlike the infant optics, which constantly cut out. So many more options/settings on this. Battery life is better. Also, the camera and monitor just look way better. UI is better as well. I haven’t had any of the humming or temperature reading issues that some of these reviews mention. Maybe they got defective units. Our ceiling fan remote also displays the temperature and it consistently reads the same temperature as our eufy monitor, so I’m pretty confident in the accuracy. Wish I would have bought this to begin with - you won’t be disappointed!

This is an incrediable baby monitor! I like everything about this eufy SpaceView baby monitor! I’ve spent so much time looking for different options and this meets all of my needs! The set up was incrediably easy and the menu options is easy to use as well (took me 10 minutes to set up everything and the user’s manual was very clear). I am also very impressed about its range (even comes with a wide-angle lens that captures the entrie room as you can see in my picture). The sound and the video quality were also excellent. This monitor has exceed my expectation and it is money well spent. I am very satisfied and highly recommend to all the new moms out there!

I really didn't want to spend this much on a video baby monitor, so I tried a couple alternatives. In summary, this is WAY better than the alternatives, and I'm so glad I finally went for it. First I tried an inexpensive WiFi camera, but it didn't support my 5 GHz WiFi and it was too slow on 2.4 GHz, having frequent connection issues. Then I tried an app that lets you use an old iPhone as a camera, which you can look through on another device (I used an iPad). This too had regular connectivity issues, and it was irritating to set up and move around the room. Finally, I tried this one. Here is what made it so much better: 1. Uses radio frequency rather than WiFi, and the camera talks directly to screen. This means there are no server connection issues, and it's not hogging up the WiFi network! 2. Great resolution on a nice screen, small enough to fit in a pocket but big enough to see details. 3. Screen has a built-in stand, so I don't have to drag one around everywhere. 4. Camera can turn remotely, so I don't have to move it when I move my baby around the room. 5. Camera has digital zoom up to 2x, at a much better resolution than the iOS app. 6. Long power cord so I can put the camera somewhere convenient (also comes with hardware to mount it to the wall). 7. Night vision so I can see her when the room is dark 8. Frame rate is very good. 9. Range is pretty good. When she's in my office (which is typical right now), I can monitor her from any room, including pretty well in the garage and most of our back yard. 10. Includes a wide angle lens for when she gets more mobile and I want to watch the entire room.

This Eufy camera is much better than the Infant Optics DXR-8. Problems with DXR-8 - Setup was easy, but picture quality was middling given the current state of technology, and the wireless signal was spotty. - I live in an apartment building, and even 20 feet over in the next room without walls in between, the signal would fluctuate rapidly between 5 bars and 0 bars -- the video wouldn't noticeably cut out but the audio did (annoyingly) every time that happened. - No VOX. If you want to know what's happening with the baby while you are sleeping, you need to leave the audio on. If you have a white noise machine in the baby's room, you're going to be listening to it too through the monitor. Pros of the Eufy - Video quality is significantly better than the Infant Optics, both in camera resolution and base unit screen quality. - Just as easy to set up -- the base unit is pre-paired with the camera so you just turn it on and you're done. - VOX support. The Eufy has an alarm feature that allows you to lower the volume on the base unit so you don't have to hear everything in the baby's room. When the noise level exceeds a user-adjustable setting, the base unit will beep like an alarm clock to get your attention. Negatives of Eufy - It would be nice if, instead of the VOX alarm (which is sort of annoying when you are sleeping), the VOX feature just activated the audio of the baby at a raised volume. The Eufy now triggers a beeping alarm to wake you up, but then you are going to want to listen to the baby. If it just went to listening to the baby at a high volume level, that's going to wake you up and get you to the end result you want. - No good wall mount. The Eufy comes with a corner wall mount that you can place the camera on. However, the hook cut-out on the base of the camera is non-standard, so there's no straightforward way to hang it from the middle of the wall (not the corner). I contacted Eufy support and they are working on an additional wall mount piece to solve this problem (and indicated they would make it available free of charge to existing customers). But in the meantime, I found that using 2 pieces of Command Picture Hanging Strips on the base of the camera holds it just fine.

My husband and I ordered the Eufy baby monitor since we are very familiar with and love Anker (Eufy subsidiary) products. We also researched the video quality of other monitors, less and more expensive, and found the Eufy one to be the best. The first monitor we received, the camera and monitor did not pair, so we contacted Eufy directly. They immediately shipped out a new monitor and emailed a label to send the non-working one back to them so they can diagnose the issue. We got the new one within 3 days. Their customer service representatives are super friendly and excellent! When we had a chance to see the monitor in action, we were just blown away by how easy it is to operate and how amazing the video quality is. While other monitors have a resolution of 240p the Eufy monitor has a resolution of 720p on a beautiful 5" screen! I have attached some pics to this review. The very bright pics are full light, the black and white are in the dark with night vision mode on and the kind of dim/purple tint is a little light without night vision mode on. You literally take it out of the box, plug in the camera, charge the monitor and turn it on...that's it! Other features include a temperature gauge, pan/tilt/zoom ability, wide angle lens included, two way microphone, comes with a little corner shelf that the camera sits on that is easily mounted. I definitley recommend this monitor! The price may be on the higher end but rest assured you will get all the desired features in an easy to use, crisp picture quality monitor and peace of mind that you can clearly see your little one in any area of the room day or night. Note: I have not been paid and/or compensated in any way to write this review. I paid for the monitor and had an amazing experience with their customer service and love the product.

UPDATE: The company is fabulous and sent me a new one that works!! I think they did a little tweaking and I’m a very happy customer! I really appreciate a business that actually cares about their customers being happy. I’m so sad about this!! I was so happy when I took it out of the package. A few positive things before the reason I gave it three stars.. I love the monitor. Lots of options, a huge screen and the entire thing is so sleek and might I dare say, pretty, for a monitor. The camera works great, but the NOISE!! It makes the most annoying hum the entire time it’s on from the monitor! And before you ask, the monitor is not close to the camera or even in the same room, but it’s that terrible noise other monitors make if you are in the room with the camera... NON STOP. I don’t know about you, but when my kiddo is down for the count, all I want to do is relax. Can’t do that with the terrible humming. I’m not sure if I got a lemon or can even send it back since I’ve opened it, but I could only stand it for a day and had to get another kind. I had hopes for this one, but sadly, it didn’t prevail. Update- I contacted customer service and still haven’t received a response, so that isn’t great either!

Pretty impressive eufy security spaceview baby monitor. Prior to purchasing this eufy spaceview monitor, I did a lot of research. I originally was considering the infant optics dxr-8 video monitor, based on all the reviews. After comparing the 2 models I decided to go with the eufy model, based on its modern and sleek view. (other products looked outdated). This monitor has been a great help to us. I can now see my grandkid's while they are sleeping and we are downstairs or even resting out on the back patio, or down by the pool. The set-up was easy and the instruction made it easy. Pairing this unit was also quick and simple. I knew the screen per the description was bigger than the Optics model, (5" Vs. 3.5") but I was amazed at what a difference it makes while viewing it. The quality of the picture with it's 720P resolution is fantastic. I can clearly see if my grandkids eyes are even open or closed when they are just laying there quietly. I was also pleasantly shocked with its night vision capability. (Some friends of mine had other models with night vision, but stated that it was blurry, not this one). The additional lens came free, which free is always a plus. The controls are easy to understand and operate. I am not a big manual reader guy, so I jumped right in and started to play. The camera can pan 330 Degrees and tilt 110 degrees, so I was able to easily cover the room from where it was set up. The 5 levels of smart volume alerts was also a nice feature. I was also concerned with the battery life as I wanted to be able to bring the monitor with me as needed and not have to worry about carrying the cord around and finding an outlet. When reading reviews on other products I noticed this was a concern. No issues with this model, the battery life is great. I am glad I purchased this model and would recommend it to others, it is a great product.
