So far, so good...

Based on my research, buying a Wii U replacement/upgraded battery in 2019 is ultimately a crapshoot. Nothing official as far as extended batteries go seems to be on the market anymore and I'm always suspicious of batteries (like this one) that tries to pass itself off as a real Nintendo product when if you look closely, the logo/font etc is just enough off to notice. Having said that, I took a chance on this one and have been pleasantly surprised after owning it for just a day. The battery arrived decently precharged and thus far, after a single ~2 hour session, the Wii U is still saying it's full bars. I'm not expecting overall longevity (ie eventually fully dying out) compared to my original stock battery but for the price, I'm happy and cautiously optimistic about this product.

Absolutely perfect!

A wonderful investment. Our Wii U tab died, and had to remain on the charge to be used, it absolutely did NOT hold a charge, after installing this battery we now have almost 4 hours of usage. Very very happy with this purchase, it was easy to install AND makes the Wii U tab feel brand new again!

Super long lasting

Stock bat is 1500mah This one is considerably larger and is 4000mah. Do the math. Nintendo did construct the battery bat to accomadate large battery so do not despair. Just install sideways and it fits perfect. My 8yr old son and I still love the WiiU and play with it all the time. Charging was always an issue but not anymore!

Wii Pad is fixed!

This replaced the battery in my wiipad and it’s good as new! The issue I was having is that my wiipad would stay on as long as it was plugged in but die as soon as I took it off the charger. Replace the battery and it’s good as new.

Lasts very long

I'm so glad I got this. The original Wii U battery will only run the gamepad for maybe 3 hours give or take when using full brightness. Mine finally stopped holding a long charge, maybe an hour tops, so I decided to pick up this battery which is suppose to be almost 3 times the capacity of the original battery. I just got done using this new battery for close to 2 hours and the battery hasn't dropped below 4 bars yet. Great purchase.

Exactly what I needed

This Battery pack was exactly what my Wii U game pad needed. I could immediately tell the difference after installing it. The old original battery pack was showing a blue light and it suddenly would vanish, and I couldn't power it up 9 times out of 10. The new pack is holding a amber light as it should when charging the pad, and it hasn't gone out like it would with the old pack after a couple of minutes.

I just received my Wii U GamePad battery pack and am very happy with the product! It was packaged well and arrived in perfect working condition. I also really liked that it was already charged a bit when it was delivered, so I was able to use it right away. I'll probably need to recharge it soon just because I have yet to do so, but I've already gotten a couple hours use out of it the first time I've used it. I'd recommend this rechargeable battery for anyone who owns a Wii U!

6 Hours of battery life

For those interested in exactly how well the battery works, here is a comparison between the original battery and this as a replacement. My gamepad configuration is 5 (maximum) brightness, power-saving mode off, and rumble on. For both tests I allowed a full night of charging (probably unnecessary). - The default battery lasted for 2 hours and 28 minutes. - This battery lasted for 5 hours and 56 minutes. Installation was simple; unscrew the two plate screws, pull out the old battery, slide the plug loose, slide the new plug in. The new battery is visibly bigger and sits long-ways with less space. I did not notice any significant change in weight, but I'm a 230lb male with giant hands, so it's possible I'm insensitive to the difference. Overall, very happy I ordered this. Having to charge the gamepad every 3 hours was a real nightmare, wish I knew this was an option sooner.

2nd Battery is A Ok

After a month of causal use on just 2 charges the battery will no longer fully charge and lasts less than an hour. The old, original battery, is now better than this garbage. Contacted Seller with no response back, be warned. UPDATE: October 14th 2019 - Seller responded a bit later than a week and sent a replacement battery. No problems are present with the new battery. 5 Stars.

Good replacement battery

Product came in mint condition with its screw driver. Tested on my Wii U and it lives up to its 7+ hours gameplay time! Highly recommend this for anybody looking to play longer and charge less!
