Great protection

I was supprised at how well this works. The day after i bought my wyze cam and this, I mounted it outside a window with no overhang, and as luck would have it we ended up with a severe thunderstorm and tornado warning 3 hours later. This worked perfectly, barely any rain got on the lense, and presumably no water inside as my cam is fuctioning perfectly 3 days later. The cover is a soft rubber material wich fits the wyze cam perfectly. Easy to mount the holder.

Neat design to get an outdoor Wyze Cam view! I haven't had it operating long enough to see how it does over time, but it is elegant, simple, and appears to be effective. I'll update this review after it has been in use for a while...

Freakin Awesome!

This thing is great! After connecting to a wireless network, easy via smart phone; set up is a breeze. You can pan left/right, up/down (remotely). Speak through it, actually hold a conversation if you wanted. You can adjust resolution, do black/white, snap shots or full video. You can set up alert zones to where it sends you a message on your phone that movement was detected in that zone. While its not weather proof I will be setting it up under my entry way which is covered. We will see how it holds up. So far, very impressed.

Works well, does not hinder movement of the camera

Nice stretchy silicone cover, blends into a white house background and does not interfere with any of the camera movements or the picture. I have been using one on my outdoor-mounted Wyze pan camera through a number of thunderstorms and heavy rains and it has protected the camera very well. Easy to apply. A must for an outdoor mounting.

Protects the Wyze Cam Pan from weather

I got this protective housing for my Wyze Pan Cam. The construction is pretty decent. It fits the camera very well, and the swivel mount allows you to adjust the camera as needed to obtain the optimal framing of the image. The only issue I have with the mount is that it is not designed for the camera to be inverted. The overhang at the top above the lens would keep water from running down the front (somewhat) but if installed inverted, would collect water instead. Therefore mounting the camera hanging below a horizontal surface wouldn't work that well. I ended up finding a vertical surface to mount the camera to and it has been working very well. Time will tell if weather is a factor.

Works outside

I bought this sleeve to use my Wyze Pan Camera outside. It works just fine. The only issue i have and others have said the same thing is when in night vision mode, there is a reflection of some of the light into the camera. You can bypass this in 2 ways, don't use night vision mode (not really an option though, defeats the purpose of watching the area this camera is covering) or 2, put some black tape on the inside of the lip by the camera lens. I've used black electrical tape to help stop the reflections of the IR LEDs but since this is a silicone cover the tape doesn't last long. The next step is to try black gorilla tape and see if sticks any better than the electrical tape does. I would have given this 5 stars if it wasn't for the IR light from the LEDs reflecting off of the case and back into the camera. The reflected IR light doesn't flood the camera only gives a halo effect at the edges of the detection area.

Not weatherproof

Everything about this camera so far is totally awesome. My only problem is calling this case a weatherproof case. I would call it weather resistant. Quick inspection shows that the vents in the back of the camera would be exposed during even a light rain. The term weatherproof is misleading. Everything else about the system works great though

So far, So Good

So I bought the camera and the waterproof outdoor mount. After getting the camera with specific Indoor Only labels, I was skeptical about the case. Well two weeks out in the Michigan Winter has not wavered my camera's great function. The black case gives no issues with the night vision & it was super easy to install!

Protective Case works thus far

I think the Wyze Cam Pan is one of the best and most economical products in this category. I also think their app is elegant and very functional. I have four houses in multiple states and with one app, I can keep an eye on all the homes. Unfortunately Wyze Cam does not have a dedicated outdoor model. I decided to try this protective cover and placed three units outside of my house in Nebraska. All of the Wyze Cam Pans were mounted under some protection, but the Nebraska winter can be rather harsh. I am sure this protective cover will last, but will the Wyze Cams last? The protective case and wall mount work just fine and were easy to install. For those new to this process, the Wyze Cams require constant electrical power, therefore you need access to 110v power. In my one of my installations, I drilled a 1/2 inch hole in the side of the house behind the Cam, and then ran the Wyze Cam power through the hole while mounted to the wall. It works great and I sealed the hold with some silicone. I will update this post after the winter.

Easy to install. I do have this outside but it really doesn’t get rained on so I don’t know how well it is water proof! I purchased the black one and it looks
