Great bag, awesome pockets, don't love the material

I was pleasantly surprised by this bag. I have been looking for the perfect carry on item, and this is pretty close. I love how many pockets are on the bag inside and out, and one of the outside pockets has a zipper too. I also really like how the one pocket at the back can be unzipped and used as a luggage strap-this is what I was really looking for in a bag. I can fit everything I need (and more) when traveling. I can even fit my laptop (15in) which is a HUGE plus! My only complaint, which I can get over but don't love, is the material of the bag is made from. It reminds me of the parachute material from the 80's/90's. It's not terrible and will soften a bit with time, however, everything else about the bag is exactly what I was looking for in a travel bag! I also want to point out that the sellers were phenomenal, and seem to really care about the product they are putting

Fits Many Airlines "Personal" Size Limits

I try to avoid checking luggage do to the added fees, and the desire to travel lighter. So when preparing for an upcoming trip to Austin I whipped out my carry-on 360 wheeled bag only to find it measured one inch too big! I decided to challenge myself to pack everything for my 8 day trip into a personal size bag that would fit under an airplane seat. After thoroughly scouring the internet, and reading multiple reviews I narrowed my search down to three choices (this tote, a small duffel bag, and a backpack). While I ultimately decided on the backpack, the Lily & Drew Trepmall Nylon Travel Tote Cross-body Carry On Bag was a close contender. Pros: The company contacted me shortly after shipping out the item to see if I had received the bag, and if I would I share my thoughts. Their initial contact and quick delivery of the product were both positive experiences. The bag is made from a soft, but sturdy fabric with a lot of give. While it won't stand up on its own when empty, it easily expands and folds up when not in use. There are plenty of outer pockets, and the adjustable shoulder strap can be easily removed. The interior is lightly colored with more pockets which is an added bonus. Another useful detail are the two-way zippers which are very helpful for different points of access. I would estimate this tote to have about 20-25L capacity and it was able to hold most of the items I wanted to bring on my trip. For example I was able to fit a Travelon 3 piece packing cube set, a Travelon toiletry kit, and a pair of sandals. Packing it to the max, the straps and seams were solid, withstanding 13 lbs of contents. I went to my local airport to test out the airline size restrictions for this tote along with the backpack I purchased. I filled the tote with 2 square cushions, a thick medium sized hoodie, and 2 tees, and loaded the backpack with the packing cubes. The Lily & Drew tote easily fit into the personal size bins for Allegiant, American, Jet Blue, and Spirit airlines! Cons: For me it came down to portability and future uses. There is no shoulder padding so carrying the tote on my shoulders became uncomfortably heavy after only a couple of minutes trying it out at home packed with 13 lbs (which is why I filled it with light items for my trial run at the airport). In the end I found it more comfortable for me to carry the weight on my back, and preferred having my hands free. Closing thoughts: The Lily & Drew Trepmall Nylon Travel Tote Cross-body Carry On Bag has a lot to offer. The price point, and customer service are great. This could be a good choice for you if you want a travel bag that is durable, flexible, and fits many airline carriers' personal size limits. Hope this was helpful!

Quality bag for a great price!

I have not used this bag yet, but will give you my initial thoughts. First, I ordered this bag because after trying to put my current bag handles over my suitcase telescoping handles when running through the airport, I decided I needed a TROLLEY SLEEVE! Such wonders...duh. First, I love the fabric.! It's nylon, but has some body to it. My previous bag was very limp, so I think I'll find this one easier to pack and actually look a little more upscale. I like the webbed fabric for the handles, just a personal preference. Secondly, great inside and outside pockets. On the outside, one unzipped for a book/magazine, the other zipped for added security. It has deep, secure water bottle pockets. I love the five mesh inside pockets that keep things tidy, but I don't have to open a bunch of zippers to find something. There is one additional zipped inside pocket. The only thing I'd question, due to my own fault, is it is a little smaller than the bag it's replacing. I was so enamored by the fresh look of this bag that I didn't make sure the size was similar to my old one. I would compare the size of this bag to an over-sized purse. If I need to go larger I wouldn't hesitate to order the Lily and Drew Weekender bag for extended trips. I'll update after using this one. Update: The bag is the perfect size! I was able to put so much in this bag and it still fit neatly under the airline seat. The trolley sleeve was such a great benefit! I would not get an airline bag without one, ever! Great value!

I love the shape and size

This bag is exactly what I've been searching for! I love the shape and size. The interior is light in color which makes it easier to see what youre looking for, especially in the dim light and cramped confines of the airplane cabin. It fits nicely under the seat in front of you. The mutiple pockets make it easy to stay organized. I'm an overpacker by nature and it held everything I needed it to. The trolley sleeve kept it secure to my carry-on while I rushed through the airport. The trolley sleeve even zips closed when you don't need to use it that way giving you an extra pocket. Despite several days of travel, it has held up well and still looks shiny and new. I will definitely be buying more products from this company!

GREAT. Exactly what I needed for travel

Great. Exactly what I needed. The open pocket fits right on my carry-on handles. I really wanted a personal item under seat bag for travel that’s not on wheels but also is versatile and could dual is a crossbody bag / weekender. I saw bags on other websites that were similar for 60-90 dollars and decided to take a chance on this. Would recommend Update: I took it along on my two week trip to Mexico and it was EXTREMELY helpful when I had to lug my luggage around for six flights with long layovers. It made everything so easier because it slipped right on my carry on luggage. It fit as a personal item on my international flight - was durable and reliable. I would purchase again 100% - it’s something I needed and am really satisfied with. Don’t settle for more expensive brands. This does the job

Perfect for traveling

This is a perfect travel bag. I prefer black because it goes with everything. This travel bag for several reasons; it has lots of pockets to store all kinds of items; I can fit my iPad, books, and wallet with room to spare. I can pretty much carry anything, including my laptop (IMac) if I choose to and a water bottle or umbrella. There is a zipper located on the back to allow one to carry over a suitcase handle. I will be using this tote for work and definitely for traveling.

Quality bag but watch which outside pocket you use

This is a very nice, high quality travel bag. It is just the right size and has convenient pockets. It has heavy-duty zippers. One pocket unzips at the bottom so that you can slide it over your luggage handle. Just be sure you don’t put anything in that pocket and then open that zipper! I nearly lost my phone that way. I would prefer just a strap to avoid confusion. I am very satisfied except for this issue.

My husband likes it more than I do

My old eyes are thankful for the light colored lining. Love all the pockets and the sleeve for attaching to a roller bag handle.The size is a bit smaller than the maximum the airlines will allow for an under-seat "personal item", but I think this is just right. It's much lighter than others listed on Amazon. If you are flying internationally every ounce counts. The large/heavy zippers make it a bit clunky looking, but I think they will hold up better than more delicate hardware. All in all a good buy.

Great for a long haul traveler!

This bag is immediately going to be tested going to Europe and I know it will be great! I have tried many carry on bags at various price points and travel frequently, always looking for "holy grail" items to make travel easier and convenient. I came across this bag after reading a travel blog post and thought though lower cost than others, I would give it a try. It is excellent - nice material, but love the light colored interior, pockets everywhere they could think of (there must be a dozen), very sturdy hardware, a nice wide base, and flexible carrying options. It will very easily fit under a seat, hold my tablet, headphones, magazines and will keep all the other 'junk' I travel with organized. Very happy I purchased this bag.

Nylon travel tote cross body

Love this bag. It's durable and aesthetic. I used it for an overnight trip and now I'm using as an every day purse. Very good quality at a great price.
