Excellent tool for the price (value).

I have used much more expensive crimping tools - but this one does a very good job at a fraction of the price. Also seems to be well made and comes with a limited lifetime warranty.

Priced right - works better than my name brand crimper

Up front - I may not crimp 1000 lugs with this tool for the rest of my life but I was tired of cutting the insulation on shrink wrap connectors with my combo stripper/crimper - No More! This tool works great! NO LOOSE CRIMPS, no cut insulation, no fumbling around wishing for a third hand to crimp in hard-to-reach locations, the deep groves hold the connectors secure and in place... the tool appears to be well built and strong - everything I need and more. I just rewired my boat and feel very confident on the connections and the waterproofness ...

I was rewiring my entire boat trailer adding new LED lights and using a junction box for all of my individual wire runs. In the end, that’s over 50 connections that I was using this tool on heat shrink adhesive butt connectors and ring terminals. Each connection was perfectly crimped. The key with using this tool MADE for those connections is that it prevents you from damaging the heat shrink lining when crimping. Damage the heat shrink, and your waterproof seal is gone and the connection is worthless in salt water. This tool worked flawlessly. I debated on getting it before doing the project, and at the last minute decided to buy it. I’m 100% satisfied and glad I bought it. It was invaluable. I used wirefly connectors as well and they were great quality for the price. If you are looking at this tool, it’s because you are about to take on a project with heat shrink specific connections. Buy this tool. Well worth the investment. Don’t forget the heat gun to shrink it up, don’t use a lighter.

Well made tool, necessary to do a professional job.

I have used a "homeowner" version of crimper to make connections in the past, and while the crimper worked, it didn't do a great job. This Wirefly Crimping tool, in conjunction with their insulated heat shrink connectors, made installing trailer wiring in my Highlander easy, neat and professional. I have every confidence that the connections will last as long as I own the vehicle. It's nice to see a quality tool produced for a reasonable price!

Perfect for crimping

I've used various tools to crimp electrical connectors, but these are by far the best! They absolutely crush the connector for a weld-like connection. There is a auto-release feature on the tool but most people don't realize that you have to compress the pliers completely before the auto-release will unlock the pliers. You can also manually release the ratchet but it gets hard to do when the pliers are closed.

Great

These crimpers are great you can hold splice in tool while you use other hand to insert wires without needing 3 hands and when you crimp they do not break the shrinkwrap so you still cover the whole splice. wish I would have had a set of these years ago. They are built heavy to but the grip is not as wide as other pliers so you are not uncomfortable holding them. They have a lock feature that keeps you from not getting the full splice as you can't release until you cycle all the way through the crimp process.

Having the right tool is priceless

I am neck-deep in a project to straighten out my boat's wiring, and needed to add/replace a lot of crimp connectors with higher-quality heat-shrink versions. This task has been made much easier with the purchase of this tool. The crimps hold the wire tightly without damaging the shrink tube, and it is comfortable and secure in my hand when I'm hanging upside down in some dark corner of the boat. It has become my most-used tool on this project.

Quality tool at a reasonable price

Product weight was nicely balanced and with comfortable grips / handles. Precise crimping pressure with the ability to adjust. Quality tool for a good price. Need more tool mfg's like this selling quality tools at a descent price. Unlike snap-on or mac tools gouging people with their good but way over priced tools. Again, I understand R&D for development of tools but the other tool Mfg's mentioned are just over priced, period. So enjoy a quality tool that is quality made for a reasonable price.

Solid, Double Crimp.Insulation in tact.

Best Crump tool I have used!Immediately tried tool out, on 18 AWG wire, and I was very impressed. Crimping does take two hands, but results, are impeccable. Not one,but two crimps, and insulation is left in tact, and not damaged, therefore, not exposing crimp or wire underneath. Definitely a solid crimp connection, and adjustable crimp height as well. Cannot beat the features on this!

Great High Quality Crimping Tool

Great high quality crimping tool. With the ratcheting effect I quickly knew when enough pressure was applied. I quickly made up 10 connections right after receiving the tool and did not tear up the heat shrink covering on any of them. I needed to adjust the pressure on the first connection but after that it worked great.I highly recommend this tool over the cheaper ones.
