Good starter Gimbal. Hope to see more in the future

Bottom up front (update) : it's a good starter gimbal for GoPro. Meets price and performance expectation. The seller also followed through despite the initial hiccup and can now say that they are very responsive to customer concerns. Update 2/8/2019: OK, the seller definitely made it up for me by following through. The rep made sure that he communicated with me throughout the replacement process and it only took 2 days including the delivery. Despite the delay in the initial response, I'm now more inclined to come back for more in the future. In today's tech market competition, price area is a big factor. This product met my price and performance expectations. I just hope the manufacturer can capitalize on its entry gimbal which I would say is a success. As for the seller, USKEYVISION, I now have a more respect for them as they showed me that they're a company that cares about customer satisfaction. My rating went from 3 to 5. The increase in 2 stars was due to the seller's timeliness and the way they went about it to resolve the issue once identified. Update 2/7/2019: I sent the customer service an email in December 2018, a few days after I received the item, due to a crack that formed (see feedback below). Today, I received an email reply back with an apology for the delay in response as well as an offer to correct the deficiencies. Being that my request was over the holidays, I'll give the seller the benefit of doubt that my email got lost among many others. While I contemplated on waiting to update feedback until the seller followed-through, I also wanted to be fair and responsive to other buyers' considerations. So today, I'm raising the rating by a star for the followup. Original post in Dec 2018: Again, this is just a basic gimbal, so there's none of the auto target tracking or facial recognition, etc. It's meant for GoPros that may not necessarily have those features. Likes: -low cost to start learning -long battery life (got at least 12hrs on and off usage and still had some left) -ability to charge GoPro while in use (not sure who needs continuous 3+ hrs of recording..) -different gimbal modes for different situation s -easy to use -has an app to adjust the motor settings Things I wish could be better: -connecting with app was a little confusing. It had issues finding the gimbal for the first few times. Maybe it's the phone... Not sure. It works now. -GoPro mounting could be better. I'm using GoPro4 and it takes a few tries to find the balance point. And when you tighten the mounting screws, the GoPro actually gets a bit slanted you can't really tell on the video, but...im just saying the mounting could be better. -the power button looks like a 'record' button, so maybe change it with a power symbol. I think I saw someone complaining that you can't control the GoPro with the phone app. Not sure if that's fair since this is a basic gimbal. In any case use the GoPro app to control the camera settings... -mine had a stress fracture by a screw on the body after the 2nd day (see picture). Not sure what caused it...maybe because I used it out in the cold? Anyways, tried to contact customer service directly through email, but no response...the stress fracture's going to eventually break with usage. And without acknowledgement from the company/seller, I'm left with a failing product. Tips: -find the GoPro balance first! It'll put less stress on the motors -don't try to figure out the phone app on the first day if you're a beginner. Just learn how the gimbal controls affect your videography skills. -if you're adjusting the motor settings, adjust one axis at a time if you're a beginner at gimbals -probably want to know what yaw, pitch and roll means to get the best out of using a gimbal. The quick settings on the handle affects them Overall, I like it and my videos don't have the shake. Now I can capture my kids without excessive shaking. Everyone should know that the gimbal doesn't eliminate the vertical or horizontal movements, so don't expect to capture a perfectly smooth footage while running and holding the gimbal in hand.

Wow!! Absolutely love this thing. Very smooth shots made my workflow easier. Exceeded expectations & also compact enough to fit in my bag. Small investment with a big return. This was a no brainer.

Great tool for Sport Cameras

You are definitely going to want to get this for your GoPros and SportCams. This stick is a nice upgrade to iSteady Pro 1. The App for iSteady Pro 2 is more friendly and intuitive. It's helps smooth your camera shots and can be used basically anywhere you can mount a camera. This will fit any action camera and help you remove that shakiness from your videos. I own many Hohem products and you are hard to find better bang for your buck.

Perfect for on the go

I really liked my new hohem 3- axis gopro gimbal. It was very user friendly and super easy to hold. I thought that the design was very sleek and love how all the pieces fit nicely into the the little storage box that is provided with it. It was easy just to throw everything into my back pack and go. The gimbal also comes with a stand and you can easily charge it. The gimbal gave me the ability to take video that came out smooth and very professional looking. No more shaky hands! I take the gimbal with me every time I go on vacation and I get so many compliments. It really does help make my videos much better and you dont need tons of experience to use it!

Impressive smooth video at a bargain price!

Simple set up. Came fully charged and ready to use. I used it with a GoPro Hero 7 Black, but it appears that it would work with any generation. The attached video ground shots were taken with Hohem iSteady Pro Gimbal Stabilizer. Walking requires that you be conscience of the amount bounce in your step. Unlike some other gimbals on the market, the iSteady Pro has a one-piece design and doesn’t require any assembly. That smooth and steady footage can be shot from several different stabilization modes. These modes each offer a different use of the three axes. Pitching Angle: 320° Rolling Angle: 320° Panning Angle: 640° The included stand is a big help for stable video. The associated app allows for additional control of the gimbal’s settings and can serve as a remote control to control the operation of the gimbal while it’s set up on a tripod. Great device!

very good

After getting the G6 plus for my mirrorless camera, I decided I wanted a more compact rig dedicated for the gopro. This thing is practically flawless. I plan on getting the Karma mount to make it wearable when I ride my bike. There is a nice clear screen on the front that lets you know battery levels and the mode you are in. You can control your gopro 6 or 7 with the gimbal. I like the inception mode by putting it into torch mode and doing a slow rotate while walking forward. The controls are very responsive and can easily be adjusted via the app. Another key point is that it has not one but two screw mounting positions. One on the top and one on the side so you can easily mount a mic to the side for crystal clear audio. This kit came with the carrying case.

Definitely worth the purchase!

I purchased this Gimbal and overall I am very satisfied with the purchase. The product operates very smoothly, and it really helps to stabilize video quality. The product also comes with an instruction manual that is very helpful and tells you exactly what you need to do to use this device. One slight problem I have with it is that you can not control the camera’s recording with the gimbal. You will have to manually press record and stop the recording. I don’t find it to be a big deal, over all I really like this product.

Fine product and has room to improve

Really nice product with stable quantity. The whole set is very easy to install and has basic function that can hands up quickly. It’s an above average product in the market from my opinion, and good choice with this price. But, it will be better if it can come with the opinion to install the Mic on the Handle.

Good buy for starting creators who want stable shots

This product I definitely give major credit to. Well worth the money spent. Good stabilization, good batter life, great features. Seeing how much stabilizers cost out there this is a good start out investment for your small cameras to get good stability. My little gripe would be sometimes I could hear the motor a little in the background but I believe that may be due to how hot it was that day I was using it. All my equipment was being weird that day so I don't knock it for that. Any other time of use it's been fine.

great product

I enjoyed using the gimbal during our vacation last summer. I love taking videos but hated the movement when walking. With the gimbal I was able to walk down the beach with no problems. The video was so smooth and being able to move the gimbal around and keeping the horizon stable and in picture was nice, no worry on if the picture frame is correct of not. My daughter took the gimbal hiking and love the results as well.
