Great color

I purchased both this and the Lumino which looked like it had better coverage and was lighter. Those two things are true. But this light has the best color. I really hate "blue" light and much prefer yellow. The Lumino has both but the "yellow" was still a little blue to me so I switched to this one. The battery life is a little shorter on this one, though one nice feature is the button you can press to see an LED indicator of how much charge it still has, so you don't have to wait for it to fade out before recharging. The best feature about the Lumino is that its coverage is SO much better. It has a big square light as opposed to this which, like nearly all others is a skinny little light which doesn't necessarily disperse to the edges of my Kindle (much less a book). The bendable head works well and moves easily then holds its position well. The unitis a little bulkier and heavier than the Lumino at the battery/clip on portion, but not so much as to be a deal killer. As to brightness, my biggest complaint with ALL booklights and this one is no exception is that the brightness settings are useless because they are ALL TOO BRIGHT. I've never used any setting other than the lowest. I mean that's the point, is to get the very least amount of light in bed so you don't disturb your partner. I would rather see more low level settings and far less brightness. All in all I'm pretty happy with it, mostly because of the light color.

Fantastic

I've never written a review on anything before, but I feel it necessary to write one due to the amazing customer service of Ecologic Mart. I ordered the two arm warm book light, and they accidentally sent me the cool light. I emailed them about the issue, and they kindly apologized and fixed it immediately. I don't think I've ever experienced friendlier customer service with intentions of making every customer satisfied. As far as the light is concerned, it is great. I like to read at night before I go to sleep, and the warm light causes me no eye strain. The clip is the perfect size for any book, and the arms don't feel cheap like other products. You can contort them to the position needed and they will stay where you want them. Overall great product and even better customer service!

Fan of all of the differentiating features

Very pleased with the extra features that make this superior to the rest of the crowd. My wife had ordered a couple different ones in prep for a beach vacation. Not knowing this, I looked at many, found this one (in dual-head, frosted, warm color) and ordered it. Unfortunately, the first one didn't arrive, was declared lost or damaged in shipment, returned to seller (not sure how a lost one is returned). Made me wonder about packaging/packing, but I ordered another; it showed up after vacation in good packing. I had tried out 1 of the others on vacation, was OK but the color and intensity for reading books in a very dark room was harsh. Also had accidently turned on a light with a convex switch more than once. Returned them both. This one on its low intensity setting (3 vs 2), warmer color, and frosted lens is just right for that use. Can finish the vacation book at home in bed while wife sleeps. Also found it useful to pop on top of a mechanical-lock safe to help read the dial. I'm a fan of all of the features that set this model apart.

Great purchase

I looked into multiple book lights. My husband needed one to use that wouldn't wake up our baby when he read at night. I thought the two lights were a little over the top.. seriously, who needs two lights? Well, it does seem to help so he doesn't have to move the light and you can focus it so it's not too bright. Each light works separately so you can only use one if you want. Well, my husband has said more than once that it is the BEST purchase he ever made and he's very picky. We bought another one for my mom for a Mother's Day present.

Musician and Book Reader's Excellent Experience

I don't write product reviews often because you still have to make up your own mind. And I wouldn't accept promotional products to get me to write a review. But I do want to share my opinion about this company and its product. I'm a musician and this reading lamp is just perfect for performing whether indoors at practice or outdoors at a nighttime concert. It is able to fully light my sheet music as well as my 76 keys keyboard so I can be comfortable I can play at any venue. And you can easily arrange the arms so the lights do not shine into the eyes of the audience. I bring the charger with me just in case because we play long sets, but the battery lasts a pretty long time when needed. I really like the three levels of lighting because I also use it for bedtime reading and the dimmer setting helps me get tired enough to sleep. But here's why I recommend this product from Ecologic Mart. I've had two of these lights and have seen that the company actually listens to customer feedback and incorporates suggested changes into the product. So I've noticed improvements like changing to use a more standard charging cable and adding a charging indicator so you can know when it's fully charged thus increasing battery life. They also provide a dual charger so you can charge another device as well. And I really appreciate the soft velvet bag to carry the light and keep the charger with it. You don't get all that with other similar products, and I'm more than willing to pay the couple of bucks for these conveniences. I also know that Ecologic Mart stands behind it's products, which is more rare these days. I had a product fail, and they rushed a replacement right out to me. Their customer service was really helpful and understanding, and just want their customers to be happy with their purchases. So I have to give this company and their products five stars, because they've earned it.

Overall a really good book-light. Exceeded my expectations.

First let me state that I've only had this book light for a couple of days. But I felt compelled to write since it has exceeded my expectations in every way except one. My one complaint - and it is petty and irrelevant - is that the clip is bigger than I would have liked. There are good reasons for this - mainly because it houses the battery and charging port. AND it doesn't interfere with most books. But I use this to read to my son, and some of the small books get a bit floppy under the light's weight. BUT other than that, this is fantastic. The color of the light is great and will not keep you up. You can set each head independently to one of three brightnesses - all of which are useful. The snake necks are quite nice and robust. It comes in a passable travel bag and has a really long micro-usb cable so it is still useful if you want to read when it needs charging. I will update if there are reliability issues or if my opinion on this light change.

Great overall, but not perfect for night.

Really good outstanding build quality. Still a little too bright for me at night. They should use a darker amber light wont take a star off for that, but the build quality is outstanding as is the entire package. Even though it was more expensive i got the somnilight for reading at night and was happier and gave this to my daughter. IN many respects this is better in that it comes with a pouch better charger and costs 1/3 less and is built exactly the same way. Even with the light levels though it needs a more "amber/darker" tone to avoid melatonin suppressing lights. my suspicions is that the amber leds costs more. i do think you could probably come up with a cheaper solution by using a darker plastic screen filter that blocks more blue light, and shifts more red.

Every night readers MUST have

Can't believe I never reviewed this until now. If you're considering whether to buy it, just do it. It fits perfectly on textbook and small books. It is very bright and it's very helpful in reading at night. I use it to prepare for finals, I use it to read whenever I am hanging in my couch as its cable free. The battery lasts a lot. You can charge it once every two weeks and depending how you use it it can last anywhere from up to a week up into two weeks. Another cool thing about this light is that it's charger comes with two holes so you can plug in 2 cables; so you could simultaneously use and charge the light and you could charge your phone as well we using the same block.

Love the double light!!

I tend to stay up later than my husband at times, reading in bed. Rather than keep the lights on in the room, which is a bothersome to him while he tries to sleep, I decided to purchase a reading light. At first I was considering the single light, but now I'm happy I chose the double instead. Why? Because it means I can adjust the arms once, and be done with it while I read. No more arm adjustments necessary since one light is toward the left page, while the other is toward the right page. I should also add that this light is so easy to adjust. You can bend it any way you wish and it will stay there! No fumbling around at all. It's so easy to adjust! There are 3 levels of brightness on EACH light. I thought the 3 levels were for both lights at the same time, but no. Each light has it's own setting. So if you want one light at level 1, and the other at level 2 or 3, feel free. Adjust the brightness to your liking. Overall, I love this light. I can read without disturbing my husband at night.
