5 out of 5, it's a great idea for beginners too
It's an awesome artist tablet and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to start drawing digitally. The only downside I can see is it's not as portable as you would think. Since it's not wireless you are still tethered to your laptop or PC so you can curl up under a tree and sketch clouds and unicorns and stuff. But I would still recommend it regardless as a starter for beginners like me. I have only had it running for a few days and I am loving it....and tip to beginners make sure that you have a good software program to suit your needs. I shopped around and watched plenty of videos on YouTube before I purchased my software from Amazon. Also think about a stand to hold you tablet, it kicks out so heat on the back. A stand even laying flat on the desk will give it enough air to prevent overheating. All in all 5 out of 5. Enjoy it : )

Awesome entry level art tablet
Not that I'm a pro or anything, to judge it as an entry level product, but I see it as that because of the price. The price makes it easier to give it a shot, and if you like it, you can save for a bigger one. Personally, I think it is amazing. Being in IT, the interface and response of this device is perfect. 1920x1080 in a 12" display looks great. The customizable buttons make it easy to set them up however you like. CNTL-Z (undo)? YES, PLEASE! I use it with Krita and it works perfect. I'm familiar with GIMP, so there really wasn't a learning curve for me, but how quick a drawing can come together is awesome, and no eraser lines! If you are hesitant to move into the digital art world, I don't think you will be disappointed with this device for the price. Your only regret may be not getting a bigger one after you learn how awesome these things are. If they made a wireless version, I could easily see these making it into the business world in conference rooms taking the place of $5k+ mondopads.

It is AWESOME!
Great accessories that come with it, installed wonderfully, and makes digital drawing like drawing on paper. Only issue is with pen pressure features, but I think that's due to Photoshop Elements and not the tablet. Good buy!

Great Quality for the Price
Bought it to learn how to draw and use photoshop, illustrator, and after effects. The wires are short so it needs to be close to your setup. The chord is a tri-chord setup where one end is an hdmi male to go into your computer or laptop, a usb for power, and a usb for data. The other side has the usb-c connector that goes to the tablet. The tri-chord side has short chords so if you have a desktop set-up it's annoying making those cables work under your desk. If you have a laptop setup then you can just plug in the power usb to your laptop. You just need to manage your chords. The device is accurate and the pen is recognized even if you're an inch away from the screen so you won't misclick. The tablet has 6 buttons and a tiny vertical touch screen on the side that you can configure to be any single button or combination of buttons of your mouse and keyboard. I really like it for the price. If you have a laptop stand for it then its easy to use at a desk. If you have one of those tiny laptop desks on wheels it's great to use while you're sitting on the couch. Enjoy!

Extremely Good Value for Money
This is an incredible value for money especially if you can get it for 10% off as I did. It works wonders and is my first screen tablet. Once you set up the tablet the parallaxing is very minimal if not non-existent. The pressure sensitivity is noticeably better than my previous Wacom Intuos with 2048 levels, so if you are debating whether it will make a difference, it definitely does and I am very happy about it. Overall this is an amazing product and I will definitely recommend you get it, but if you have the cash grab a bigger screen tablet by XP-Pen as the small screen on this product is something not everyone will enjoy (But I am perfectly okay with it and it works fine regardless).

Love it
So far I absolutely so love. I do game development in my free time and this has really helped make things not only much more enjoyable, but allowed me to really take things to a new level when sculpting and texturing. The only thing I don't like is that I am left handed, so I have to have it upside down and when I do the angled USB-C covers the power button. You can still reach and get to it if you use a fingernail or the top of a skinny object, but it would have been better to have the buttons on the side farther away from the plug, just for this reason. It is only a very very minor inconvenience though.

High Quality Tablet for a Great Price!
Being that the Artist 12 is only $250, I was a little skeptical before trying it out myself. However this tablet is amazing! I love this tablet! It works so well and is a great price! - Setup was quick and easy, I had no problems. - The Artist 12 is very responsive. There was no lag while drawing. - The express keys are easy to customize and also work very well. - The display is also excellent, it's very vibrant and crisp. I really enjoy drawing on the Artist 12. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a tablet with a screen. I am definitely not disappointed and it has exceeded my expectations.

Easily up there with ANY Wacom tablet don't listen to the elitists. It's amazing!!
EDIT: DON'T LISTEN to the people saying "pen sensitivity isn't working with PS" or "drivers not installing"... Maybe learn how to use your computer before you buy this, there are in depth instructions to set EVERYTHING up. I have a degree in Animation AND have used the best of the best drawing monitors/tablets and this is easily a 10/10. People automatically see "wacom" and think they're the best lol no.. They're just the most popular and if Xp-pen keeps it up they'll be just as known as wacom, for the elitists out there, take a breath and read the instructions. Been using this for about 3 months now and it's 100% worth every penny. I'm an animator (2d/3d) and this tablet fits my needs. Easily up there with any wacom (monitor) drawing tablet. The pen feels great and comes with extra nibs and a stand. Overall a 10!

100% thumbs up!
I couldn’t be more happy with this purchase! This thing is sweet! Slim profile sleek look great design. Works great with my Mac and has preformed perfect with PS, Krita, I have even used it for some 3D modeling! Great size (11.6”) display area. .453” thick. It has 6 shortcut keys with a touch bar that are all programmable. HD display that seems to have better resolution than my MacBook. The pen is very comfortable that doesn’t require charging. The pen has 8192 levels of pressure that you can adjust to your drawing technique. The tablet comes with all the required cables to get you up and running including a glove and screen wipe. I have had a blast with this device and would 100% recommend it. Thank you xp pen for making an affordable graphics tablet!

Loyal Customer Here!
This is actually my second display purchase from XP-Pen. Though I love the Artist 22E Pro, I wanted a more portable lap-friendly choice for mobility and decided to stick with this brand. SET-UP: no-brainer! Although they advise not to have Wacom drivers on, I installed the XP-Pen drivers without remembering to remove them as I did before for the desktop. However, once I had the cables plugged in and powered on, it was immediately ready to customize and use without issue. I do want to mention that I initially plugged the tablet in over the brightness button (why, I don't know) and there was some screen flickering. Remedied once I flipped it around the smart way. SCREEN QUALITY: I wasn't expecting a hi-def screen from such a small model but it actually looks just as good as my MacBook screen, so I was very happy about that. The brightness controls are on the left side but the design is so well done that I can grip all along that side and not accidentally trigger anything unintentionally. HOT KEYS: which brings me to the hot keys! Six are on this model (plus the touch slider) and the defaults are fine. Brush and eraser are already on the stylus though, so I changed those to Save and New Layer, kept Undo, changed the fourth to eyedropper and the last two to zooms. The slider bar is perfect for brush sizes which I use more than zoom. So this one kind of combines with Utility/Drivers to say that all functions of customizing, including calibration and display settings are extremely easy to set. STYLUS: not only does this not charge like the two that come with the 22E Pro, but the dual buttons are recessed (difficult to unintentionally depress) and it has the top eraser! That was the one thing I was missing from the 22E Pro that I did have with my old Wacom Intuos 4. I also love the beveled pencil grip and lightweight feel of it. Definitely my favorite stylus design to date. Frankly, I'm amazed that it's humbly considered a beginner's tablet and that so many professionals look down their nose at this compared to Wacom. Especially since they often make that claim having never even tried an XP-Pen. As a professional artist myself, I didn't find it to be lacking at all and even love the first drawing I was able to do between my two new drawing displays. I've finally shed the disconnect I always felt when not seeing the drawing under my hand. I can't recommend this enough. It really does wonders, both for my budget and my resulting work. As long as the products last and the support stays consistent and attentive, I'd like to continue upgrading with this company as it grows. My initial impressions are stellar.
