Many have complained that all 4 did not give the same reading. Read the specs. +/- 5%. This spec is also on much more expensive units and only gets lower on some professional models. If you have actual 45% humidity then 5% of 45 is 2.25. So if all of your Veanic meters read between 47.25 and 42.75 then ALL are in spec and accurate. You have to remember that humidity changes according to weather even in a house. The four I received: 3 read 46 and one read 45. I used a pro meter I borrowed and it read 46 when all 5 were placed near each other and left for 30 minutes. I have had these for 2 months and recently placed all 4 near each other and the reading were +/- 1, two read 44 and two 43. I am more than pleased with these. These ARE accurate per specs.

I grow orchids and other tropical plants on an enclosed porch during the winter. Temperature and humidity is critical and a few degrees can mean failure or success in getting plants to bloom. Had been buying stand alone units at $10+ each and they never held up. The price was right for these so I took a chance. They are all within a degree of each other and 1 or 2 percent humidity. Mounted them at various locations using double sided tape. Working great so far.

These little devices are really useful. And I tested their accuracy against most sophisticated and expensive hygrometers and thermometers and these were all within 1-2% of those. Amazing. And the price? For four of them? Can’t go wrong with these. I’m a nerd and just like knowing the temp and humidity. I bring them when I stay at hotels, I use one in a guitar cases to monitor proper humidity for my expensive guitars, I have a couple around the house. Stop looking and buy ‘em! :-)

For the price, it was worth the try out. You can't change between F or C scale, but thats no big deal for me. These do not have a manual calibration switch or pin, but if they did, you'd pay easily double the price. I have Boveda Butlers for dedicated humidors, but wanted these small units for small desktop and storage humidors I have before new sticks go to one of several specific humidors I use. I tested the 4 in a calibration Boveda bag. All were within 2-3% humidity and 1.5 degrees of each other after 30 hours. Two units went 3% high now and then, but settled back to within 2% high after an hour or so. I would expect a consistent reading only if a humidor is not opened multiple times a day, as It did take over 24 hours for 2 of them to stay consistent at 75% +/- in the test packet. I will add, if you move any of the meters around, it will change its % reading a few points before settling back, so thats something to note. For what you pay; and mindful of some variation in reading, I think these are a good purchase. Unknown battery life, but I would expect at least a year or more of reliability. A faltering reading in the future may simply indicate a weak battery, but thats just a guess. Big suggestion: test the units before you use them, and use a white pen to indicate the +/- on each unit, based off a Boveda bag or similar. Simple is as simple does.

I bought these for monitoring my ball pythons' cage temperatures to replace the Zoo Med gauges sold at the reptile expos I bought the snakes from (which are NOT snake safe at all, incredibly). They work amazingly, very accurate compared to bigger and more expensive gauges, and their small size makes them easy to place in spots that aren't in the way of the snake (they're like cats without limbs in their expertise in knocking everything over). Most importantly, they're completely safe for my snakes and don't have any kind of adhesive that can get stuck to them and injure them, which was one of the most important selling points for me since one of my snakes has gotten stuck to a Zoo Med gauge before. I do wish the digital screen was easier to read in the dark since both me and my ball pythons are pretty nocturnal, but it is still pretty legible and I don't find it detracts from the product. Overall, these are a great choice for reptile owners looking for something that's actually safe for their animals. Both of my boys are looking happier and healthier, looking forward to consistently good sheds since I can keep their humidity higher and more stable!

Units are compact and accurate. I've had them for a week now and ran tests on them through a wide range of temps, humidity, and conditions. Compared against calibrated lab quality instruments these little units tested very favourably. Within 2 deg farinhite and 4% humidity. As with all hygrometers they need time to settle in on a reading when moved from one set of conditions to another. Overall they are outstanding for the price.

Sometimes simplicity is best. All I wanted was temperature and humidity and that is what these provide. Extremely consistent from unit to unit. Excellent value, what more can you ask for.

Accurate @ 75% with salt test. Battery was on right out of the box. They helped me set up my humador that I received as a gift along with some cigars. My humador came with an analog hygrometer that was -20% off. I bought these to help keep my cigars in bags fresh while I seasoned and tested my humador and through a learning process of getting the correct and desired humidity at around 70%. They verified that my analog humidor was way off. Battery life and reliability is uncertain. Only time will tell. First week review.

Good, inexpensive hygrometer/thermometers. All four show essentially the same readings and the thermometer reading matches other thermometers I have so they appear accurate. Note that the vent for the sensor is on the back so if you want to use these in a room you need to leave some space behind them that is also open to the room. Also note that these are designed to click into a rectangular hole 1x1.75 inches in size and read from the inside of the hole (like the inside of a humidor). If you are planning to build a holder or mount these yourself you might consider the very similar round version as round holes are generally easier to drill then rectangular holes are to cut accurately, depending on your project.

I needed a humidity meter for my guitar case, and in the past I've gotten those big bulky box ones. After shopping around for a bit I found these for the same price but you get FOUR of them. the are about 1x2x.5 inches and weigh next to nothing so you dont have to worry about it banging on your guitar and scratching them up. I was a little disappointed they came already on, but it's not a deal breaker. They are easy to read and they all give the same readings as my more expensive larger ones so they are accurate as well. Dont let the cheap price scare you away. They are well worth the price.
