I've had several automatic feeders. I go on week long work trips and am gone so I need to feed the fish somehow. This is the 4th brand I have had. the other I have had have broke or just wont stay attached to the tank. it is by far the easiest to set up for feeding and the fact that it comes with numerous ways to attach to the tank makes it incredible easy to use. The choice of drum size allows you to feed a lot or a little. Def would recommend for your fish.

I have a single Beta fish and left town for a week. I setup the fish feeder with the Velcro on the top of my small aquarium and set the smallest amount of food for it to distribute once a day. It worked wonderfully and fish was happy and well fed when we returned. I would recommend this fish feeder.

This product is very easy to set up for me. I am not the technician. You can program this feeder as 4 separate foods. I used it with Betta on my 5.5 Gallon tank. Some shrimp and pond snails. Feeding is adjustable. I am close to the minimum setting. This is enough for him. We have small betta granules as well as dry red worms. It has no problems so far. I was going to use it at 20 gallons. But it seems to me. This feeder is more suitable for tanks up to 10 gallons. I would recommend this product.

We go this for while we were gone for 4 days for Christmas. Our fish were fine when we got home and even the babies are growing. So looks like they all got enough food. It works pretty well. You can push 8h, 12h or 24h feedings and there's a manual button for in between feedings. You can also adjust the amount for the food that comes out. Easy to set up and works great with pellets and flakes. we are pleased with its performance. I would recommend this item for regular or occasional use.

Honestly wasn't expecting much, but I was very impressed. Super simple to set up and get running. It worked really well even using flake food (I presume it is more intended for pellets, but I had no problems). Will definitely continue to use it for future trips.

Perfect for when we are going to be away from home for a couple days. I feed my fish twice a day so having the programmable feature makes things easy. Even if we aren't on vacation, having the timer feature eliminates the worrying!

Love this feeder for small fish pellets, though I do not recommend it for flakes as the distribution method is that the cylinder turns and the pellets fall out of holes- therefore flakes would not come out and feeding would fail. The large food container is long and keeps the pellets from humidity so they stay dry and move freely. This feeder works great and have made life that much simpler for us, especially on vacation. The favorite is that it can set the timing to feed. This is when I am out, I don’t worry about the fish not eating.

Now that I played around with the setting and got it right, this thing works great... so far. The timer is spot on. 8:00 every morning it feeds the fish. This is going to be sooo nice when going on vacation. Worth every penny. If using a flake fish food, you might want to break up the flakes a little bit to prevent clogging.

Timer-based automatic rotary drum feeder that will run from 2 AA batteries or a USB cable. The USB cable doesn't include a transformer brick, so you'll need to provide your own. Essentially you mount the feeder to your tank with one of two options 1) using an included clamp; or 2) velcro. Next you'll select the food drum size (100mL or 50mL) and fill the drum with food. Now, you slide a gate in the drum and set it to meter how much food is released during each feed cycle. Finally, you have options to feed 1, 2 or 3 times daily (every 8, 12 or 24 hours, respectively) as well as a manual 'feed now' button. In operation, when the timer goes off, the drum rotates through 1 full turn/cycle, as it rotates, food in the drum moves through the restrictor gate, and is then released downward into a chute/trough, the purpose of the trough is to direct the food into tank and possibly reduce condensation or backsplash. Depending on what type of food you're using, and the gate opening setting, you'll probably get mixed results. I got good results with my gate set on about the 3-4th smallest, where I found that flakes and small grains worked well. Large flakes have to be crumbled or it will tend to jam in the drum. A portion of the flakes also seem to adhere and not fall into the trough, and some adhere to the trough, and a bit falls outside and not into the chute at all, requiring some regular clean-up. Small grained/balled food works well, with less mess, but mostly my fish prefer flakes.. Floating sticks don't work very well, and need to be crumbled. Despite the tendency of flake food to get a bit outside onto the aquarium top, in general, this drum feeder seems reliable, is pretty well thought out, and does it's job. I'll likely only use it during vacations and trips longer than a couple days, but it will ease the mind and keep our fish from going hungry.

I was headed out of town and desperate for a solution. This didn't quite fit my small 3 gallon tank but it worked perfectly propped up on something. It works well.
