- 🔷 TRIPLE TRAPPING POWER: Works best for catching gnats, fruit flies and mosquitoes. The UV light lures them above the fan that sucks them in and the super sticky glue boards make sure they don't escape. Be warned that the trap is not as effective for house flies - especially killing the bigger ones!
- 🔷 SAFE FOR ALL THE FAMILY: Odorless and no electric zapping. Safe for babies, small children and pets. Registered with the Environmental Protection Agency.
- 🔷 TRAP THEM INDOORS: Just set up the insect trapper as close to the insects as possible (e.g next to the fruit, plants or trash bin), plug it into the wall or USB power source, and let it do the rest. Works well in your kitchen, bedroom, office, garage, covered porch or cottage. Connect it with your power bank and let it work even in areas with no electricity such as cabins or other enclosed places.
- 🔷 PRODUCT DETAILS: Works best in a dark and closed room. Rated voltage: 5V; Rated Power: 5W; Rated frequency: 60Hz; Applicable Area/Coverage: 320 SQ FT; Ultraviolet wavelengths: 365nm-395nm.

Amazing Invention
After battling a large infestation of gnats, probably imported with a tasty batch of bananas, we were at wit's end. We'd spent a week trying just about every home remedy out there, to no avail. In desperation, we searched on-line for help. This product came up, highly recommended. Well, within 2 days, we were down to 4 wily bugs. Those evaded us for two more days but they are now history. I cannot praise this compact system enough. It is simple to use, takes up little space & very effective.

Works well, rattles some, easy to fix.
Works great. Same results as many other comments. I use mine in my office where it's quiet, and there was a noticeable rattle. Took a few days, but I figure out it's the dual power buttons on the top that rattle when it vibrates. I put a piece of scotch tape gently over the buttons and that solved it.

Worked first night
I can't believe how quickly this thing worked. One morning, I noticed two mosquitoes trapped inside my house. Once I grabbed the bug zapping racquet, of course, they were long gone and no where to be found. I ordered this that morning, it arrived the same evening, and I turned it on overnight. The next morning, those two mosquitoes were dead on the sticky board. I am elated. My kitten wants out on the patio every day, and I bet more mosquitoes are lurking in here somewhere. The Katchy will be turned on every night.

More effective with bait. See my set up and recommendations.
UV light from Katchy attracts fruit flies at night. But I found that using a bait lured many into the Katchy. I poured apple cider vinegar into glasses and covered the glasses with ankle high nylon stockings. This way the aroma of the vinegar arose from the glasses, but not even the smallest fruit fly could get into the vinegar to feed or reproduce. The aroma from my many glasses got the fruit flies to fly through the top of the Katchys and the fan forces them to the sticky pads in the base of the Katchy. Overkill, yes, but it works. Some more tips: Make sure no water is available for fruit flies to drink or breed. 90% of fruit flies are female so one female can lay lots of eggs and create generations of them. And they tend to lay eggs in water. I also believe a lack of drinking water will dehydrate them and shorten their life span, which I have read is ~40 days. - Cover all drains with stoppers. Including the shower drain (I use Glad Press n Seal). For the toilet bowl I cover the rim with an oversized plastic cutting board. -I wipe down the sink after each use -Pour boiling water into drains to kill fruit flies and eggs. I have read that simply running water does not eliminate them. Replace the Katchy sticky pads every so often and count the dead fruit flies until you are sure that there are no more fruit flies.

It works against fruit flies
Product looks good, and more importantly it works for fruit flies for which I tried everything unsuccessfully these past years. I like that you can see very easily if it works since the flies stay glued on the pad. I have no issue with vibration or any other noise, in low or high speed. You still hear the fan, of course. What's cool is that they provide a USB charger but you can also use it outdoors if you have a battery pack. Only detail is that you can't put it on a timer to turn it on at night. The timer can turn it off but not on since the switches are electronic, not mechanical.

Money well spent. geez..
While I do not have a mosquito problem, I have a.. whatever this ‘fly’ thing is problem. The device works (and works well, I might add). I was initially skeptical and wondering why it wasn’t a $20 device, and it’s because it has good standing just looking at reviews alone as being a problem remediator (actual merit for it’s ability to do what it says). The only drawback is having to operate it without illumination in a room, which isn’t a concern with the product itself and more environmental. I would have ordered a bigger version with additional lighting to cover a broader area if available. In the picture you see about a months worth of running, I suspect these things are very quick and are difficult to see with the naked eye, living on organic material and quite a nuisence I will add.

Worth every penny...love it.
This Spring in AZ has seemed a little crazy with the mosquitoes around. I can't stand waking up with bites so I've been constantly on the lookout for some kind of trap that works. I saw this thing that resembles a little air filter or a lantern and basically you just plug it in, hit the button, and the bugs are attracted to the UV light that's inside so they go down in there and there's a little wind tunnel that sucks them down on to a glue board. No zapping. Well let me just tell you ....I would only see a few mosquitoes in my house on occasion and we also have a bug guy who sprays ....BUT.... the 1st couple nights I've been using this I've caught about 30 bugs ! With the majority being mosquitoes!!! I am shocked! this thing is so crazy, I love it! if you have trouble with mosquitoes or gnats definitely buy one of these...worth every penny! I am buying several more! Btw, not loud at all. Sounds like an air cleaner set to low. If you want to use it in your bedroom at night while you're sleeping just stick it somewhere close, like a closet or bathroom, the bugs will find the light.

Best ever!!!
OMG this is such a life changer! I don't know how these gnats/fruit flies got into my apartment but holy cow! They were driving me nuts. I tried the apple cider vinegar trick, I bought the fruit punch one, I bought some this trap from home depot and NONE of them worked. They just made my home smell and I still had these things flying. Initially I didn't want to spend the money but it is SO worth it! Within 48 hours this machine has gotten so many of these flying devils. I didn't even know we had that many. This machine solved my problem that a weeks worth of other alternatives couldnt do. The fan comes with 4 sticky pads. So far we've used one and a half. When we changed to the 2nd one on third day with the fan we didn't think we'd get any since they were pretty gone but it still has managed to catch quite a few. The pics are just from the first sticky pad.

Pictures don't lie. This trap works!
This thing works. I have the unfortunate problem of living in an area where there are a lot of mosquitos. I bought this because there is a cloud of mosquitos outside my door every morning and some of them seem to make their way inside my apartment whenever I open the door. So I really bought this trap out of desperation. I had tried pretty much every (unsuccessful) way to get rid of mosquitos that I could find online, but eventually decided to try this trap. The mosquitos fly toward the UV light and get sucked into the trap from the fan. Once they're in, they get stuck on the sticky trap part. I love it and am so glad I bought this! I apologize for the grossness of the picture... the trap works, as you can see. The picture is after about a week and a half of being inside my apartment (yuck, I know).

IT WORKS!
I usually wait several months before I review a product.However.This product worked the night I received it.We have a lot of plants in our house.Plants in water, plants in soil.We also have recently had a problem with what i'll call fruit flys. Not 100% sure what they are technically.I don't really care either. They are annoying to say the least. We have recently tried the decorative fruit fly catchers. The type you use fruit fly bait or water ,apple cider vinegar and dish detergent. They have caught 0 bugs in the month we have had them.I saw this online.Read reviews and thought id give it a try.I put it in my bedroom on low.Woke up this morning to 4 dead bugs.My son put it his room this evening .Looked at trap tray out of curiosity and said there were about 10 more on sticky pad. At this pace we should be clear of them in a few days.Long story short. It works as described and am happy with its purchase.I was torn between 4 and 5 stars for one reason.Noise.It is not earth shattering noisy. On low it is reasobly quiet. But you can hear it.I wouldn't want it in a bedroom on high.I believe even with my tired ears it would probably be to much.It is a small fan and I understand it cant be made silent.Dont let this deter you from a purchase. It works and it works well.Thats why after the short debate in my mind I gave it 5 stars. In the end it does what it says it will.Hope this helps someone.
