I have had the 200W Hygger now for three months. It is the best heater I've ever had and I've had a lot. I love that I can look at the wall and immediately see both the set temperature and the current temperature, even in the dark. I've never seen the heater run over the temperature I have it at. However, you do need to know that after it hits that temperature and shuts off it will not come back on again till it is one degree colder than you have it set. At first this bothered me because I raise shrimp and they like a very stable environment but in my case the temperature varies from 71F to 72F. This looks like a one degree variance but actually from 71.5F it is only 1/2 degree variance. Before Hygger I was running two heaters and also had two different thermometers monitoring my tank. With Hygger I was able to remove the two thermometers and the second heater from the tank. The temperature on the Hygger is right on and the thermostat is very easy to work. It looks good and runs good. I cannot testify to the longevity of it as I've only had it three months but it has already outlived my last three heaters. I also like that I have it so low in my tank I do not have to remove it for my weekly water changes. The only thing I would like changed would be for the heater to kick on at 1/2 degree instead of a full degree. That would give me an additional level of comfort that I would be willing to pay additional for.

This is the best heater I have used and I have been keeping fish and breeding for many years. Amazing quality and functionality. I would recommend this heater to anyone in the hobby even if you are a novice or just getting started. It came with great packaging and instructions. Very easy to set up. I am very happy. Has a great price and is a quality product

Great Heater so far. I like the fact you can make adjustments to temperature from the outside and not having to turn the dial inside the tank.

I cant tell you how many fish I've lost to heaters getting stuck on. This device does the cutoff right with a separate thermostat that physically shuts off the power source when the target temp is set. I love that I can see the activity of the heater with a light that flicks on and off that resides outside of the tank. Great Product. Worth the extra money.

This is a top knotch heater and its worked great for us for several months without any issues. It kept the water in our 14 gallon tank between 84 and 85 with 85 being the set temp. I ran it submerged in the kitchen sink to see if it got hot to the touch before introducing it to our tank, and it never did. It heats very, very gently, taking about a half hour per 1 degree raised when tested in cold water. The controller looks old school, seriously, but it works wonderfully in a straightforward manner. Some may not like the fact that the temp on said controller is always illuminated, but I always side with function over form. The thermostat and its bulky wire could also be considered an eyesore if not conceled properly. All in all the heater seemed over built from a technical standpoint, and thats awesome. It really works. Update: been at least a year, its still brand new in function and appearance.

This heater works great in my 40b. Actually maintains the temp. Very impresssed a lot of heaters are not accurate. I like the control box it has. Very easy to control with the box as most heaters have dials on them and I’ve had issues with them before getting stuck, there is no dial to get stuck and temp control is as easy as pushing the button up or down.

It works but it looks to be -0.9F below reading from my other water temp reader. without a 3rd temp reader i wont know which is off but since i know that is is -0.9F i can find the medium and use that to set my heater on/off at. still a great product.

I was afraid of hearing all the new heaters out since 2018 no matter what company and even same reliable models suddenly turned defective and suddenly made poorly from china. Heaters are not the type of equipment you can get away with cheap, because the reviews are all showing up with stuck thermostats ans cooked fish! So I had to look for a heater with a separate digital controller to guard against that internal problem. This unit solves the issue by having the digital controled outside and the heating unit just for heating. You save money with this over separate units and save your money and precious fish from death that is inevitable with ALL of the heaters made after 2017, with the horror reports coming in at 2018. So do yourself a favor and get an outside controller, or just get this setup it works well, staying within one degree of setting. Also take note the metal tube for the heater, so no glass to crack. Another plus. Don't trust the glass of recent brand models. I would not trust any new heater out there to be reliable. You must either pay for a good one like this, or get an older, pre-2016 heater, NOT made in China. No offense to any Chinese readers, but we have to accept this is one topic (HEATERS) that you cannot make cheaply and expect it to be reliable. No company should make a heater cheap, but they do now.

This is by far my favorite heater. I was hesitant to spend $50 at first but I tested in a 10g, 30g, and 55g and it's within .03 degrees of what it says. Compared with a digital thermometer and a thermometer gun. Highly recommend

This heater not only easy to setup, but also provides you with all the information you need to keep your fish tank at the correct temperature. It's very well built as you will be able to tell once you hold the titanium heater in your hands as well as the controller. Additionally the cords are sturdy and not paper thin, would definitely recommend for anyone who wants quality and reliability. I learned the hard way that a heater without a display to keep informed of the temps will lead to disaster as my old Aqueon heater failed and the heat kept going up and i lost ALL my fish....
