So far so good...

I am a beginner to the area of medal detecting. Ive always been fascinated with it, I watch the people on the beach walk by with their bag of goodies and always wondered what they had collected. So I finally gave in and purchased on. Ive only had it for a few days but took the time to read the instructions first to make sure i put it together properly as I didnt want to mess anything up. I do believe novice or not you should read the instructions first. The padded arm rest and handle make it easy to grip and eases some of the pressure from you hand making it easier to hold for longer periods of time. Although I havent been to the beach yet with it, Ive taken it in the yard and around while Ive walked the dog and have found mostly coins and small metal objects but its always fun to hear it go off and see what it is. I cant wait to take it to the beach or a park so I can really find some good stuff.

Worked for me!

I love that it is compact! It did have a horrible stink right out of the box but after letting it air out it is fine. The product is great. The first time we used it we found a screw, washer, and a piece of scrap metal at the park. The battery cover is really add to get off but doable. Worked for me!

Neat Gadget to Have!

It definitely detects metals but you have to use it properly. I threw some change in the yard to test it & the settings are accurate. Lower settings detect pennies while higher settings don't. I found all the change I threw plus I found other change that was buried a little. Had to pull out the shovel to dig that up, (I was hoping for buried treasure) the shovel is small, comes apart and fits in it's own little bag. The bag the detector came in is pretty big. The instructions tell you exactly how to use it & even have a chart that shows what settings detect which metals. My husband (a plumber) uses it to search for clean-outs in customer's yards. Would definitely recommend.

Great treasure hunting tool

This is the first time I got a metal detector for treasure hunting. I like how this set can be assembled and disassembled and includes a carrying bag and shovel. Realistically, I think it'll take a lot of time to really find something of value at the beach or park, but I think this will provide loads of fun for my family.

Great Metal Detector by Tool Guards

This was our first attempt at “treasure” hunting. The metal detector by Tool Guards is great for folks at all levels of exploring. It’s comfortable and not heavy. a nice compact entry level metal detector good value

very nice product, as an entry level metal detector it comes with everything your need minus the batteries which can be easily replaced .Nice and light so your wrist won't get tired , very sturdy and collapsible into easily assembled working detector at the site. I'm impressed with the shovel and traveling bag that comes with the detector. overall its a very good value.

I wasn't sure what to expect since this is the first time that I have purchased an item like this, however I was pleasantly surprised at the quality, looks, & functionality of this item for the price in addition to the great additions of the compact shovel & carrying case.

It's a great tool if you want to look for things while at the beach or something , you can make a family trip of it and have everyone looking for hidden treasure lol. I found tons of nails and stuff in my yard.

Better than I hoped!

I am so pleased with this metal detector. I wanted something to use with my niece but a $300 device wasnt in the budget. We have taken it out a few times and found mostly spoons and pocket knives and it is very accurate. It comes with all the ancillary tools you need, a good instruction booklet and it's super bright yellow so you wont lose it! I'm super happy with the purchase and you cant beat the price!
