I love this knife, the heft behind it is wonderful when breaking down large cuts, while the edge let's me still make finer cuts if required. It's a beautiful addition to my knife kit.

Breaking and steaking large cuts it meat. Long length glides through meat on one pass perfect steaks.

I really like this knife ... w/o the full bolster I can "pinch grip" this very large knife and it is perfectly balanced in your hand. It works for cutting anything large from large onions to meats. This is my largest "chef" knife ( I have 6", 7", 8", 9", chef knives currently ... )

Razor sharp and ergonomic. Great attention to detail. If Your'e not a Chef or an experienced culinarian, this blade is not for the novice, MUST be knowledgeable about knife safety or it will bite you. Removed fatcap from 20 lb. porkbutt in 3 strokes, then chiffonade 2 lb. basil just to prove this blade is not a novelty. Bad Ass!

The devastator by Dalstrong is just that , devastating to anything in it's path. I underestimated the size of this knife, it's very large and heavy. Great for slicing tenderloin and so sharp right out of the box it basically falls through the meat. I'm not sure how long it will hold it's edge when coming in contact with bone but I don't do very much butchering so that shouldn't be an issue for me. They say it's 1.5lbs but feels heavier, not for the weak wristed.

If you’re looking for a knife to slice through space and time, well, this may very well be the blade. A topic of conversation when friends and family see it for the time to be sure. Big, well balanced, sharp out of the box and while I may only use it for brisket,,, who am I kidding, I’ll slice sandwiches with this beast cause it’s easy. Well done Dalstrong

Great weight on it, comfortable handle & honestly for this price it’s amazing

So this thing is HUGE - the blade maintains the same shape and proportions as smaller blade lengths so it is massive all the way around... but it is amazingly well balanced for its size. Like all my Gladiator Knives, it is super well made, build strength and quality of materials is second to none. This knife from a fancy named brand would easily run you 8 to 10 times as much and would probably not be as well built since this isn't their normal size. Dalstrong obviously put a lot of time into this one ad made it every bit as good as all their other knives. Would recommend to anyone that needs a huge but comfortable and easily wielded knife.

This is an amazing knife. From any other brand, you would easily pay around $300. I knew that this would be a huge knife, but it's hard to appreciate the dimensions until you actually hold it. The weight of it combined with the razor edge causes it to just fall through meat.

The knife itself is great. This is the 5th knife I have bought from Dalstrong. Everything is great, except for the wood on the handle. Like one of the other knifes I bought it has a sharp edge on the top of the handle where the tang and wood meet. Its like the wood is not the same size. If you run your finger across it is pretty sharp. Update: customer service is top notch. They fixed my issue and replaced my knife. Great!
