No not really. I put this together ina drunken music induced night of fun office creating awesomeness. BUT I was impressed by other reviews stating they put it together in 12 minutes. And reasonably met expectations for the money. These I feel are statements I could get behind. Granted I timed myself because I had to know could I put together a desk in 12 minutes? 5 beers deep too? (I am a light weight) So the timer was set and I went to work he was still painting or something, the music was loud and I was also dancing...hard to say... regardless I followed the directions, knowing me...sobet or not I was likely distracted and I am sure it took me longer to compregend the directions of facing parts than would have otherwise sober. Also I had to pause to drink more so there are lots of those moments then I had to pee and remembered to stop the timer BUT forgot to restart it but pretty sure I restarted it a few minutes later...about 89% of the way through boyfriend asked what he could do to help so there was some time of two focused people working on this project. 26 and some off seconds later this materpiece of China partical board was complete! And not bad for $80 nothing you can sit on but it works for what I need.

Well Worth The Price!

I received the desk as a Christmas gift from my girlfriend (along w/a new printer) for my home office and I couldn't be happier. To begin with, the shipment arrived about a week ahead of schedule (which was before Christmas - Bonus!). And when I opened the box and examined the contents inside nothing was damaged or broken. The packing styrofoam was a bit busted up, but, it obviously did its intended job and protected the enclosed contents. All the necessary pieces and parts were accounted for and clearly marked. The assembly instructions were easy to follow and complete assembly took about 20 minutes. Once finished, I wound up with a decent-sized desk with a formidable amount of legroom and a satisfactory amount of workspace. The desk itself is quite sturdy and satisfies my current needs rather effectively. Additionally, if the need should ever arise, I can easily disassemble the desk for transport and quickly reassemble the unit in its new location. Just recently, the company the desk was purchased from sent an email verifying satisfaction and offered to rectify any issues I may have had. Good enough for me. So, in summation, the desk was reasonably priced, it arrived ahead of schedule (and before Christmas), it was not damaged in any way, nor did it contain any missing pieces. It was easy to assemble, has plenty of legroom and workspace, it's nice and sturdy, and the company the desk was purchased from followed up on the sale and offered to take care of any problems that may have arisen. For those reasons alone, I give the desk a five-star rating overall. It's well worth the price and I would definitely recommend it to a friend. 'Nuff said.

Easy to build

It was very easy to build it and I only have to use the screw driver twice. My 6 year old help me and it took us around 12 minutes to assemble all the pieces. Thank you

Came packaged perfectly, quick to put together and fits my needs to a T.

This desk is well worth the money. It came to me in the greatest condition with an impressive amount of protection between each and every piece. There was not a single part of this desk that came damaged or scratched or warped. Instructions are a little tricky to decipher and I recommend having at least one other person to help you due to the bigger slabs of wood that form the top of the desk. Didn't take long to take out of box, unwrap and put it fully together. Only 2 negative things I have to mention is the Allen wrench that should have come with the set was somehow not added. Wasn't totally a big deal due to the fact I had a back up but if I didn't I wouldn't have been able to get it together. I wont dock a star for that simply cause it wasn't an issue for me. Other complaint is it isn't easy to get your wires set up depending on what devices you're trying to hook up from the outlet to the top of desk. Either all my wires and cables are just too short or perhaps the layout of the holes provided just simply dont work for my set up but it really bums me out having to have my wires come up from the back side of the desk and get crushed against the wall instead of through the hole. All in all, I was so pleased in the condition it arrived in. I know several people posted reviews of the product coming in terrible conditions and not packaged right but mine came in perfectly. No complaints so far and I use the desk every day. I am incredibly pleased with my purchase.

Incredibly easy to put together!

This desk is very easy to put together. The pieces slide together with easy to understand instructions. Very few screws involved and its a sturdy desk. My only complaint is that the grommets that came with the desk are very cheap feeling, and I broke one of the two while inserting them in their fitting. Be careful with these, as they are pretty thin plastic. The desk has a nice height for me (im 5'2) with a good 3 inches between my legs and the bottom of the desk. Overall its a very attractive part of my room now.

beautiful desk!! putting it together is kinda like doing a jigsaw puzzle, just follow instructions and it's easy peasy! oh, and if you do a little "checklist" to make sure everyyyything is in the box, take note that the "glides" are PREInstalled!! i thought they were missing, gave a bad review and emailed the designer, then decided to flip through the instructions and saw on the next page the hardware i thought was missing was actually preinstalled into the desk already! good luck with it!

Easy assembly and works great!

This desk is great, especially for the price! I was a little on the iffy side when I was deciding to purchase this because there were some negative reviews and because it was one of the cheapest L desks I could find. Some of the reviews say theirs were flimsy or couldn't support even one monitor, but mine holds my monitor, tablet, speakers, figurines, and more. I feel like if you put it together correctly, then you shouldn't have a problem... Yes, when you move or push it into an area you want it to be by using more force than usual, it may sway a tad of course. Other than that, it's fine and quite sturdy. I built mine in the corner I wanted it to be in (as you probably should...), and after it's in place, it doesn't move or shake when I'm working on it. The instructions were easy to follow. They reminded of LEGO instructions, but for adults (a lot of pictures and no text). So I hope you had your LEGO practice. I didn't use a screwdriver once. The stoppers/screws on the bottom can be done by hand, the package provides a hex key for the few screws needed underneath the top, and everything else just slides in. I was able to build it by myself, but having a helping hand would be a plus. The final piece was difficult to slide in alone to make sure it locked in, but it is doable! Overall this desk is great. I finally have a place where I can easily switch from gaming, digital drawing, to traditional drawing or class work as I please!

Great desk for the price

Very easy to put together - basically clicks together like a connector set. Pretty sturdy - I have 2 monitors and a laptop sitting on it and it's sitting solid. Definitely not a bad deal for the price! Only thing I wish it had was a drawer for the keyboard.
