Easy and beautiful finished product!
Easy to work with and create a lasting memory. Make sure to follow the instructions thoroughly; they are simple and clear. The foam clay will NOT be perfect; there will be minor bumps, scratches and air bubbles. However, with the amount of time spent creating the final product (very little), one shouldn’t expect perfection. Definitely worth the $! My baby was almost four months by the time I got around to creating this impression. However, the timing was just right. It probably would not have worked earlier as babies need to have the ability to keep their hand open for at least 5 seconds. The ornament took 2 people to create. My husband was holding our son by the table and I pressed his hand into the impression. I cut a smaller circle for the ornament as the one provided was much too big! TIP: make sure to press down deep and press each finger individually into the mold. Remember, it’s ok to take several attempts to complete a good impression. The clay is very forgiving and moldable. :)

2 kits- 2 successes. Will only buy this one.
This is the second time I've bought this exact baby hand/foot print kit. I bought another brand off Amazon due to it was slightly cheaper and would have arrived on time for when I needed it.... Yeeaaahhh big mistake. I ended up throwing the other one away and buying this one anyway. It doesn't leave residue on my tots hands. It is lightweight like a marshmallow and won't break if it's dropped (or in our case thrown by a 2 year old who doesn't quite understand how to use the force yet 🙄) he used the excess from the kit as "playdough" for a good while and it never even got in my carpet or anything. We just kept wetting it when it dried out and worked it in until it was soft again. I'll be buying this one from now on. I'll not be experimenting with any others.

Perfect texture easy to use
I read a lot of negative reviews and I can’t understand why bc mine was so great! I wanted something that was mess free and wouldn’t shatter if dropped bc my kids are so young, it’s perfect! I did have one that I think was old gifted to me and the print didn’t hold as it dried but this one I just got was fresh and perfect! Make sure you kneed it to get all the air bubbles out and your good to go! It didn’t stick to the cutter or the straw and was soft enough I was able to gently push my 2 month olds hand in far enough to get a good print without feeling like I was hurting her! Did it last night and the print is still perfectly in there! Can’t say enough good about this except the cutter is HUGE! Lol I will say I pulled out one of my own Cookie cutter to use instead bc I didn’t want a mini plate on my tree lol

Special mementos of tiny hands and feet.
I don’t understand the negative reviews for these. I’ve done them with all four of my kids for their first Christmas. They’ve been easy, turn out nice, and I absolutely cherish them. They grow so fast!!! Hands can be trickier with older babies, because they tend to squeeze the dough instead of just press a flat hand into it. So with two of my babies (at ages 9 months and 7 months), I ended up having to do footprints instead of handprints. My other two babies (at ages 1 week and 10 months) cooperated with handprints. With my 10 month old, I practiced pressing his hand onto the table flat a few times before using the dough. I think that got him used to the feeling so he didn’t have the impulse to squeeze. If you do mess up the impression, you can just knead the dough and try again. I had to do it a few times with two of my babies before getting good impressions—just because they weren’t cooperating, not because of the product. Press pretty hard so the impression is pretty deep. It looks better. My first baby was born right before Christmas, and we were gifted this kit. I’m so glad. I absolutely love having the imprints of when they are so tiny. I ended up buying it myself for each of my other babies’ first Christmases. The instructions are simple. The dough is much lighter and nicer than salt dough. It’s more like a foam, so it won’t break if you drop it.

Easy to Retry prints & Lightweight for sending to family
We actually ordered another ornament kit made from clay and ended up scrapping them and ordered this one instead— much better! It didn’t crack when we needed a few “redos” for a screaming infant and is light enough to hang comfortably on our Christmas tree. It’s made from a foamy material that’s easy to work with and we could even get an extra 1/2 ornament from every kit. We ordered 4 kits and made 6 ornaments. It’s also light weight so you can save money shipping them to grandparents. I’d definitely recommend!

Perfect as a gift for grandparents
Perfect as a gift for grandparents. Key notes: read the instruction or watch the video - and FOLLOW the instructions. I error on the side of OCD and still had to take caution to avoid incorporating lint from my shirt into the clay. TIPS: 1) For a nice smooth finish I gently rubbed olive oil over the surface. 2) Name/Date templating came out great but took some extra time. I cut out each letter carefully and smoothed the edge to make sure the letters would fit together tightly. Lastly, I mounted them to a piece of masking tape so I could stamp into the clay all at once. Came out amazing!

Use a pizza cutter!
I read some reviews about the plastic cutting tool included not working very well. My wife found a solution. Use the pizza cutter! It slices right through the impression material perfectly. Anyway, I ordered a set to try out for our daughter's first Christmas. My wife did a fantastic job getting both an impression of her hand and her foot. There is enough material to make two ornaments out of one kit. And plenty of ribbon included. I've since ordered 2 more kits to make ornaments for the grandparents, as well. The nice thing about this material is you can reuse it again and again if you're not happy with the impression results. Also, I read reviews saying that the material doesn't completely harden, and stays soft. This is true. It isn't like a plaster material and gets hard as a rock when dry. I think this may help preserve the moulding in that it won't dry out, or shatter if inadvertently dropped, the tree gets toppled over, etc etc. Just read the very simple directions completely before opening the material packet and beginning. I highly recommend this product to create a keepsake that should last a life time. Your child's precious little hands and feet grow so fast, these will be great to decorate the tree every year and remember how tiny they were, and how truly fast they grow up.

Great quality and easy to use!
Super easy to use and not overly sensitive to the touch. Just make sure you wet your baby's foot or hand Well BEFORE imprinting because my sons toes were a little dry and I almost ruined the perfect imprint. If you do mess up though I love that you can knead it and roll it again to redo it. Oh and be sure to buy aluminum foil before opening your package of not it will stick to your deface and you won't be able to remove it without messing up your baby's imprint.

Cute and easy
This makes a very cute ornament and it was very easy to use. I bought two and made one of baby's hand and one of her foot. You needed to press baby's hand or foot somewhat hard to make a good indent but I made it while my daughter was sleeping and it worked out perfect (she didn't even wake up). Also, the completed ornament was perfect the way it was, but I choose to paint the hand and foot once the "clay" was dry to make it stand out more. The ornaments turned out very cute and we received many compliments once they were hung on our Christmas tree. This would make a cute gift for grandparents too!

Great item and so easy to do!
Love these kits! They are easy to do and don’t take long at all and best of all no mess! I’ve done them now for all 3 of my kids and we hand their footprint keepsake on the Christmas tree and they have held up over the years! My daughter is 7 and hers still looks great! Just did one for my newest son.
