This kit comes with 12 eggs individually wrapped, each with it own little digging tool. When my order arrived the box had been damaged and quite a few of the tools had been dislodged from the eggs. So I was very disappointed and wrote a 3 star review. (the first review I have ever written) The eggs and individual charts plus the one larger chart are all very good quality so maybe I should have given it 4 stars. However, now I am definitely giving it 5 stars. Not only is the product top quality, but the customer service can't be beat. I will definitely be checking out their product line for future purchases!

I got the Dino Egg Kit for my nephew's 4th Birthday, he loved it, had a lot of fun with them.

Great quality, great price!

My son got a dino egg dig set as a present and got obsessed with it; he wanted more. The eggs of the brand he got was random; so you could get the same dino multiple times. This set was looking perfect, with 12 distinct dinosaurs for a great price. We gave it a shot and I am glad we did! Quality of the items are great, so is the presentation. Really recommend this product...

Great little activity for my 3 year old!

My son is almost 3 years old and he loves dinosaurs and egg hunts so I had to get this. I'll hid a couple eggs for him in the back yard and after he finds them he'll then dig in. They are a bid hard and messy to get into but totally worth it. 2 eggs will give him an hours worth of entertainment. This also has helped him with learning the names of the dinosaurs. The tool is a little too sharp for a child that young so he uses a metal spoon that works just fine (especially when you add some water).

4 year old's birthday party

I ordered these for my daughters dino themed 4th birthday party. We had about 14 very energetic 4 year olds that were running all over the place. I ordered 2 kits to ensure I had enough for all the kids. This kit was a life saver. I was able to wrangle all 14 at a table and demonstrate how to probably use the chisel and then I set them loose. All the kids loved digging in the egg and slowly uncovering the dinosaur inside. It took about 15-25 minutes for them to completely dig it out, which was a quick relief for the parents! Haha! I would recommend these for any birthday or kid activity!

Great way to explore

Our 5 year old enjoys science experiments and really into hands on projects right now. These are a huge hit in our house this Christmas. They were purchased as a Christmas gift and on Christmas Day we had to try one out. About 15 minutes of his attention was given to digging into the egg to find that dinosaur and then matching it it up with the cards to see what kind of Dino he found. I will say as with any thing like this there is a mess, but get a cheap table cloth that is easily cleaned and let them dig away. Expect a little mess and their attention to be held for a little while as this is a great hands on gift for kids that are into this.

Fun for a party

Bought this for a 3 year old's birthday party and it was a huge success! The kids were younger than the recommended age of 6, but with help from parents, they were engaged the whole time and it wasn't as messy as you might have thought. We soaked the eggs for a little over 5 min because it took a while to get the plates together and the activity area cleared out, and the eggs still held together and were easy to carve open! The kids thought it was a lot of fun.

History of busted up box

Game was very fun but box came all torn and damaged. Wouldn’t be able to give it as a gift because the box was in pieces Luckily I just bought it to play with my nephews and so the box didn’t matter but because the box was open and pieces were all over the place I did have a couple missing brushes. Update: without asking, the makers of this read my review and replaced the entire order. The new box is perfect and everything is accounted for. I think it was the people that ship the items that were careless. I can’t believe they replaced it. That is such a sweet thing to do. I’ll now always buy from them now. It’s extrwkekt appreciated.

I take it back....not a single broken egg!

This was a gift for my grandson. I was disappointed initially because when I took the kit out of the shipping box to wrap it, it sounded as though there were broken pieces in the kit box itself. As it turns out tho there were no broken pieces, it must have been some of the cards in the box shifting around because there wasn’t a single broken egg in the whole box of dino eggs. While my grandson has not yet cracked opened any of the eggs (only so many hours in a day) he was definitely intrigued & it was one of those moments when you know you’ve hit a bingo with a gift - yayyyyyy!!!

Birthday fun!

Got this for my daughter who loves all those dig for gemstone/fossil kits! Thought this would be a great change and she had a blast with these. A little different then the other kits we've gotten, you have to wet the egg first a little then go at it. Makes a pretty sticky chalk like mud mess but as long as you give the kids a deep metal pan to break them open in you're all set. They had fun and kept them entertained for about 3 hours before they went off to play with the new found dinos!
