Awesome phone
This phone is fast. It's camera is good seeing as the people around me with pixel 2 and iPhone x like my vids and pics. Gaming is great on this phone(survival heroes, Pokemon tcg/go). Every one is amazed at how long the battery last even when I'm playing mobile games(saves tons of battery with logo light up off). Loud as hell. Great for a loud alarm if needed. Refresh is instant. My new phone since Samsung s5. major upgrade

Don't believe the Youtube reviews of this phone! It's AWESOME
I was not 100% sure if I was going to order this phone or not, but I had been thinking about it for quite some time. I watched dozens of reviews and read article after article and couldn't seem to finally just make the jump and go for it. I was always put off by the reviews of the camera being awful and the battery life, etc. Let me just say, the stock camera app razer supplied with this phone IS awful, however the hardware is not. Go and download the Google Camera Apk as soon as you get this phone, it will take full advantage of the great hardware this phone offers. The stock software for this phones camera is absolute trash, but don't knock the phone itself for this. It's a software issue, not a hardware issue. I've included a few pictures that I had taken with the phone to showcase the quality it offers. Camera aside, this phone is smooth as butter, in more ways than one. The 120 hz screen is an absolutely joy to work with and I catch myself randomly just sliding my menus up and down and zoning out at how fluid it feels to operate. The screen brightness is good enough, it doesn't get super bright if you're out during a sunny day but it's bright enough to easily see what you're doing. This is a powerful device and i've been playing several games recently and the 120hz has made a huge difference in quality. I'm absolutely in love with this phone and I don't regret this purchase what so ever. One thing i'd advise, if you can, order a case for this phone as soon as you order the phone so you can have it as soon as possible. I have not dropped this phone or done anything to it that could be considered harmful but after about 2 weeks of casual, soft use, there is small little scratches in the glass back and a couple tiny scratches on the front. I'm not sure what could have caused these, but they more than likely would have been easily avoidable with a case from the get go. The scratches aren't that noticeable, but with a premium piece of hardware like this, I want to try and keep it in pristine condition and the tiny little scratches really just irk me when I see them. Battery life is okay, I can charge my phone to 100% before I leave for work in the morning and use my phone browsing social media, reddit, camera, and a game here and there for a few minutes at a time and the phone will be at about 60% by the end of my work day. That's with maybe 4/5 hours of screen time. Sometimes, I do notice certain applications really drain the battery and I was surprised by how fast it would go down, but overall it's a minor issue that is only related to certain apps and my overall experience with this phone does not reflect those small instances of inconvenience. I'd say that this phone is 100% worth the money. Especially now that it is marked down to $650. Pick it up while you can and I guarantee you won't be disappointed whats so ever.

With intense research i finally pick and bought the razer phone 2 as a daily driver.
Everything good in the phone nothing wrong with it , but except that the back is kinda warm sometimes with no gaming. So let me guys know if yours to get warm so i can relax using it a little. So far the phone is amazing and i did not notice any defects except for the getting warm in the back.

Don't Believe The Reviews! AMAZING PHONE!!!
Don't believe youtuber reviews on this phone! The fact you're here looking at this phone tells me you aren't an average phone user! This camera is actually amazing! Battery life is freaking amazing aswell! Front facing stereo dolby atmos speakers are just incredible! One little downside is the colors aren't as sharp like a pixel or a samsung as they use OLED screens but you'll only really notice it if you're holding one of them side by side with the razer phone 2. Honestly the colors are still sharp and still packs a punch! the screen is plenty bright, trust me it's at a very good level of brightness yet again not to compare with lets say a pixel 3 or samsung 9 or any OLED screen for the matter, but the brightness it achieves is more then perfect. I'm coming from a Samsung galaxy s7 and this thing smokes that phone by miles in almost every aspect! Reviewers state this camera is trash! Absolutely not true, Download Gcam PORT, off the XDA website Its google camera ported over and usable on other andriod devices so its not exclusive to the nexus and pixel only I've downloaded the latest version MGC_6.1.009_MI8_V1a.apk BSG, 2018-10-19 and my camera went from useless to taking pictures as good as my girlfriends pixel 3! It turns out, We have the hardware! but we lack the software! In the end the camera is fantastic! just need to download google cam port app for our phones. 120% screen is fantastic! I cannot go back to 60Hz after being spoiled with this silky smooth and responsive screen. now my phone matches my gaming experience off my desktop! Battery life is amazing, Tips, Don't leave your RGB logo on HIGH, Keep it on medium/notifications enabled What that will do is only turn on the razer logo on the back of the phone when the screen is on reducing battery consumption, let's all be real now, you don't need RGB, in your pocket or purse Lol! People say 120Hz drains your battery quicker, honestly not 100% true, I've used this phone for a a few days now and haven't noticed any difference in battery compared to all the phones I've owned in the past, The only difference is this phone actually lasts way longer due to the 4,000 MAH battery it has. I game on it, Use gps, talk on it. Use it for work all day. and I still get home with enough juice to carry me through another half a day. But also keep in mind I might be doing like 15-30 min gaming sessions through the day so Im not gaming on it super hardcore as can game will drain the battery no matter what phone your on, But I can tell you it will drain alot slower then other phones. Packs a punch! Great price! Only few little issues that you need to know about Had to contact verizon to get my phone to work about 1 hour call, Tip! Ask for tier 2 support and tell them to convert your phone to a cdma less profile, it will fix the problem with receiving text messages (This only applies for verzion folks) As of 10-31-2018 Amazon has yet any cases for this phone and razer is selling cases for this phone at a pretty hefty price I'm not willing to pay lol, 3rd party companies need to hurry their butts and make some more options for us :P. Gets a little hot when gaming but no where close to uncomfortable, I have not seen any drop in performance or lag in any title I've played, so far so good will update this if anything changes! I Don't review often, Just wanted to give my opinion and views on this little beast of a phone. Take care.

Perfect after a couple tweaks
People are complaining about Verizon. I have AT&T, so I can't speak to their issues. Swap an AT&T SIM into it, no issues whatsoever. Other people are complaining about the camera. The stock camera app is okay. Not great. Not bad. If you want the best experience, I agree with the review before mine that recommended the Google Pixel port from XDA. You can search for it. Author name is cstark27, and you can search for his Gcam ports on celsoazevedo(dot)com, the BSG ports for the MI8. The problem isn't the hardware, but the software. Once you're using a good Gcam port, the pics are amazing. Someone else complained about a slight popping sound from the speakers. Go to sound settings, advanced, turn off touch sounds. There ya go. I'm sure it'll get updated, but I never use touch sounds anyway, so, like, okay... All of the above takes five minutes. Once you do that, you have an incredible media machine with zero flaws. I know the design isn't for everyone. I like the sharper corners and speaker bezels. They offer a lot of options for holding the phone, but I understand it can be uncomfortable for people with smaller hands. The copper vapor chamber makes the phone warm, but that means it's working. The heat has to go somewhere. I've seen a YouTube review and a tech site complain about that, but if you check CPU temps, you see the processor is surprisingly cool. That's the idea, as a "gaming" phone. Other phones just aren't dissapating that heat and end up throttling, which the Razer Phone 2 doesn't do. The 120hz screen will ruin all other phones for you. The speakers will ruin all other phones for you. I will also die on the 16:9 aspect ratio hill. My laptop is 16:9, my TV is 16:9, and my phone is 16:9. I don't want black bars on videos, either on the sides or top and bottom. 18+:9 phones and 3:2 laptops are dumb. I had the first Razer Phone. The only issues with that phone were lack of water proofing, bad vibration motor, and screen dimness, none of which were really deal breakers for me, but I would have liked those things to not have been issues. The Razer Phone 2 fixes all of these issues. Battery life, screen brightness, water resistance, speakers, refresh rate, the hefty premium industrial design, and nearly stock Android experience are all great. I've had the phone for almost two weeks now and have had no issues other than the five minutes of tweaks mentioned above. Could not be happier with this phone. It fixes all OG Razer Phone problems, and the RGB on the back is always a conversation starter. 10/10, please support this company and their 16:9 ways. Edit: forgot to mention battery life. Battery life is fine if you tweak a bit. I saw PC Mag complain about battery life. "We only got 4 hours! We even turned down the refresh rate!" Well, you shouldn't have done that. For Max battery, drop the resolution down to 1080p and turn on adaptive brightness. You can leave the brightness to 100% if adaptive brightness is on, you won't notice really. You probably won't notice the drop to 1080p resolution either. I haven't found the RGB light to be too draining, maybe 10% savings when it's turned off. Refresh rate is variable, so unless you're gaming at 120hz non-stop, you should be fine. Worst I've seen so far is around 4.5 hours of screen-on time at full brightness without adaptive brightness enabled, full RGB brightness on the back, while playing YouTube videos in split-screen with Facebook and Reddit, around 50% volume. That was non-stop with that usage. More typical screen-on time is about 5.5 hours with 100% adaptive brightness and res to 1080p. Try harder by turning RGB off and lowering brightness to 60% and you can push it to 7 hours. Zero video or gaming with lowest brightness may get you to 8.5+ hours, but at that point why even own a super nice phone?

Full Review from a Samsung to Razer Convert
I pre-ordered directly from Razer and received it today. First impression, is I'm impressed it's great phone. Native android 8.0 out of the box and was immediately upgradable to 8.1 after initial set up. The set up was quick and easy. There's no bloatware which is awesome. Just a few lightweight add-ons from razer that actually improve the device functionality and cusomization. Cortex with Game Booster being the main one. The touch screen is super responsive. By far the best experience I have had with typing, scrolling, and clicking while browsing web pages. Fingerprint ID and Google Assistant were both easy to set up and work as expected. Music is great on this phone. The speakers are incredible for a phone. The Dolby Atmos Equalizer for full customization of how you like your sounds is a nice touch. The Video streaming quality is by far the best I've ever seen. Images are sharp, movements are fluid. I found myself questioning if this was a SmartPhone or a miniature SmartTV when testing Netflix, and youtube videos out. Gaming is also awesome as promised on this phone, but you might need to optimize for each individual game per the developers specs using the native Cortex app. Not all games are optimized for 1440 resolution and 120 hz refresh rates but the ones that are perform amazing on this device. After some minor tweaking the 5 games I tested all performed significanlty better than on my old Galaxy 6. Camera is better than expected but I wasn't expecting much and it's not a make or break feature for me anyways, I don't take many pictures. - UPDATE 10/28 - The camera is actually amazing, the problem is the stock camera app. I downloaded a third party camera app and pictures/video are now easily on par with the Pixel2/3. Upgrading overall rating to 5 stars. The phone is heavier than I'm used too but I actually like that so far. the sharp corners are also a little odd but not bad once you get used to them. I have yet to get cell carrier service on it but I have confirmed it will work with Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile along with several pre-paid providers. I'm weighing my options before deciding on a carrier. The wifi works great, I haven't experienced any kind of lag or speed issues after a full day's worth of activity. The only real criticism I have of this phone: 1. I'm not a fan of the USB type C port, and would have preferred micro USB 2.0/3.0 so all my old cables and chargers would still work. That said, type C is looking like it's the way of the future so can't fault Razer for using it. 2. Availability of accessories is limited. Razer themseleves are out of stick on 2 of the four available cases for this phone, as well as the wireless charger. There are no third party accessories available yet that I can find. I really would like a great third party case like an otterbox to protect my investment and the OEM wireless charger which looks super cool but neither exist at the moment. This I absolutely blame Razer for and it is the main reason for deducting a whole star. -UPDATE 10/28 - Starting to see generic 3rd party cases available right here on Amazon, encouraging. If Razer accessories become more available and I can find some cheap USB-C charging cables for around the house and in the car I'll raise my rating to 5 stars as long as there are no unforseen issues. So far I'm very happy with my purchase of this phone.

This thing is a an absolute beast!
The most attractive aspects of this phone are well documented. An extremely powerful processor, graphics card and ram to spare make this phone one of the most powerful available anywhere. Its battery life is exceptional. I only charge to 80% to extend the battery life (look it up), and it still has plenty of juice to get through the average day. It can easily run multiple apps at the same time without breaking a sweat. I'm watching the YouTube app on this phone while I write this review in my Amazon app. Also, while it's well documented, it warrants repeating: the sound on this bad boy is incredible! The simulated 5.1 surround sound feature trips me out. It really sounds like it's coming from all around you. The biggest knock on the phone, by professional reviewers and users alike, is that the camera isn't up to snuff. I can assure you that the hardware is top of the line; this is purely a software issue. It's a shame that such a great phone is getting knocked for something so easily remedied but you can rest assured that it's a simple fix. It is extremely easy to find a port for the Google camera app on XDA's website. Just Google it. This is the same app used by the Pixel line of phones. And because Android is open source, it's simple to install. Once installed, your camera can take pictures that are competitive with the very best phone cameras on the market. My friend is a professional photographer who regularly has his pictures featured in magazines and spends most of his work day editing photos of celebrities. He was blown away by the pictures, and begrudgingly admitted that they were better than his iPhone 10S. Do not buy into the complaints. This phone is sexy, powerful and unique. I'm asked about it constantly because no one has seen one before. Love it so far!

Great Battery, Screen, Performance, and Speakers, but Unwieldy and Slippery
I've had this phone for a week and i am very happy with my decision to get this device. The screen resolution, color, and refresh rate are all great and look flawless; the battery is great and I can get through almost 2 days of moderate-to-minimal usage without needing to charge it; and, of course the gaming performance is top notch. Also, as a side note, if you like playing music through your phone speakers, this is probably the best speakers on any phone you can buy. Although I am loving this device, there are a few things that need to be addressed. For one, this is a very large phone and, if you have small hands, texting and handling this phone is pretty hard. It doesn't help that this phone has a glass back so it is even more slippery and harder to grip. If you get this device, I would recommend getting a skin for the back, a PopSocket-type accessory, or a case, but this phone is already big enough without a case that it would be quite bulky of you decide to go that route. I personally have a skin and a PopSocket and it works great while a showing off the allure of the phone in a graceful way, but it's up on you. In conclusion, this device has been great for me and everyone comments on how good it looks and performs, but, without a skin, grip, or case, this phone can be a hard device to handle, even for someone with big hands (like me).

Don't Pay attention to the Camera Reviews AT ALL.
I was like everyone else looking at this phone searching for reviews reading subreddit and trying to figure out what this phone is all about. I liked everything about it but the one issue that always came up with reviewers is the camera so i learned there is a Gcam app that works flawlessly with the Razer phone 2 so i went ahead and bought the phone from Razers website. The Phone is premium quality, first of all, it is a little heavy but feels solid and durable, it performs like a champ and everything I throw at whether it's a game or apps it works FAST and looks GOOD especially the games just wow! So let's talk about the camera, as of yesterday Latest BSG Google Camera port includes Night Sight!!!!! That's right you get the same quality as a pixel 2/3 with the features while running a 10x better phone! If that's not enough to sell you the phone then I don't know what would. The Razer case that I have in the picture is top quality and fits the phone just right. buy it if you want something different that raises the bar when it comes to mobile technology.

I love the SPEAKERS
I'm not a phone gamer. I bought this for the speakers mostly, and also for the display and high performance. I chose this over a Note 9 because of the speakers, and boy am I glad I got the Razer. I listen to a lot of podcasts and this makes it so I don't need a Bluetooth speaker to hear my shows over the noise in my kitchen. I also love the square design, some say it's ugly but I find it appealing. The shape also means it's easy to hold and not slippery like all these rounded corner phones out there today. Performance is incredible. I'm coming from a Blackberry Keyone so obviously this feels fast for me. I would recommend a case, I got the green word case and it looks nice. Glass backs make me really uneasy. Looks nice but glass backs are never a practical design choice. Overall if you watch or listen to a lot of media on your phone, the front firing speakers set this apart from everything else on the market today. The phone market is saturated with beautiful displays but good phone speakers are far and few between. It really makes a difference. The system wide equalizer with the Dobly Atmos is a very handy too, it means you can set a higher bass, lower volume profile for quieter but deeper sound when you don't need the volume, something no other phone as far as I know can pull off as well as this. The speakers in this phone are not open air, they actually have their own sealed enclosures inside which helps a ton with bass. I'm very happy with this phone. If you care about good speakers in your phone, this is the way to go.
