I had read many reviews warning of possible heat from the bulb causing a fire, but I noticed they updated to LED and we had no issues this past Christmas season (2018). It is bigger than I thought, and shines brightly on our porch. Husband put together in less than 10 minutes. Only possible issue some may have is storing because of its size. Great price, very happy!

This item, though beautiful and easy to assemble, it is not meant to be placed atop a Christmas tree. I post a picture of my attempt to secure it to the top, but it is not safe and required A LOT of floral wire and leans over. I will be taking it down as a christmas topper and hanging.

Replaced our last Moravian star that was crushed in a wind storm last Christmas season. This one is easily put together and because it is plastic, we put it together once then store it during the year. The plastic is so much easier to assemble and store than the original paper ones that we used for years. Thanks for a good product that causes many compliments and questions about its use.

This star is exactly what I was looking for. It’s big enough to put on my front porch and was easy to assemble. Great for understated holiday decor and way cheaper than similar metal stars. It’s made of plastic but doesn’t look cheap once assembled. It gives off a warm white glow.

I bought this to replace a paper one from the Herrnhut community in Germany. That one has been on my front porch every year for Advent/Christmas for 15+ years. I am pleased to have a more durable star to light my Advent/Christmas celebration for the next 15+ years. Service was prompt and the product is everything advertised. Happy to have this!

Great star would say comes disassembled so plan on a few minutes to assemble. I used a LED bulb that was brighter than the included bulb and it does not generate any heat but puts off lots of light. Would recommend this star, it was a great purchase.

I loved the 1st one so much that I bought another one. It is so spectacular that we don't feel we need to decorate the rest of our house with xmas lights like we used to do. It's also a great way to mark your house or differentiate it from others. When we have guests who have never been to our house, for example, we just tell them to "look for the star." This is the 2cd star I bought. The first lasted 3 years of continual use, outdoors in the Pacific NW. Here, we get snow maybe once or twice a year, we have hot (but not Texas-hot) summers & it rains for 8 months (not kidding). Thus, it surprised me the star lasted as long as it did. It may have lasted longer except when I took it down, it fell 12 feet onto the sidewalk and a few pieces broke off. The first star had a kind of inner structure that you attached each of the star's "rays" to. It was easier to assemble, BUT it was pretty rigid/inflexible. This 2cd version requires maybe 15 minutes to assemble (because some of the parts are small), BUT it is more flexible. What I mean is: if you drop it or it gets stuck between things, it is less likely to break. I don't know yet if the small parts will endure several years of outdoor use, but my sense is that they will. I love the star so much I can't take it down after the New Year...

More assembly than I expected. I adore how it looks, I thought with all the plastic "T"s it was going to look really junky, but it's still nice. The directions make it more complicated than necessary to put it together (You basically have 2 shapes to put together to construct the star: you take 8 "square point" sections and make the center circle. Then the next pass you have to alternate 4 "square points" and 4 "triangular points", and then attach the "top" or "bottom" point- which is square so really if you construct the middle circle of 8, and take 5 "Square" pieces to make a plus sign it's the easiest way to attach the "Triangles" rather than doing it the way they instruct. However, the pictures were fair, and it lights up really well! Not a long plug on it at all. Hopefully you plan to plug it in to a line of lights- or an extension.

Much easier to assemble than the older tab version which required pliers and took over an hour. I snapped this one together by hand in about half and hour! Christmas just wouldn't be the same without one of these hanging on the front porch. Our previous star lasted about 15 years before the cord bit the dust-the star itself is still in good shape.

This is a beautiful star. I want a more religious theme for my Christmas decorations and this Star of Bethlehem is perfect. It hangs on our covered porch and we have had some very windy days lately and it sways very little. It was pretty easy to put together although large fingered individuals may have some difficulty. I am very pleased with my purchase.
