it's nice and easy to put together. I love it. I use it as a terminal stand so I removed a section of the shelf out so it's perfect for me to use when swiping clients card for payment.

My son has a bunch of action figures that he likes to display on his desk. I want him to use the desk only for doing homework so I have been looking for a cheap display solution. I came across this and at $15, I figured there wasn't much to lose. When my wife found out that I had ordered a piece of furniture without consulting her, she got annoyed. I retorted "it was only $15" and she seemed to calm down a bit. When I was done putting it all together in 10 mins, I could see that she was actually pleasantly surprised. When you are close to the product and touch it, you can tell that it's cheap material. No way around it. Particle boards and plastic tubing and all. But once you assemble it and start putting things on the shelf and stand back a little bit, the thing actually could easily pass for a $100 piece of furniture. My son's desk is now clean. That's all I wanted.

In the past, Furinno and I have not had good times together. Recently I bought two different shelves by them ( since I have become rather heavy in buying figurines and candles, needed displays. ) and have been pleasantly surprised both times. They truly have no need for screws or any tools and both of them arrived in perfect condition — box AND product. There’s no splitting wood, and they look more on the expensive end, honestly. Especially the taller shelf I bought. It took maybe ten minutes to put both together, if that. Really surprised at the good quality and maybe restored my faith in the brand here.

First up for those politically minded, this is NOT from China, but Malaysia. I would have preferred a lighter color (like the 99152 set they make) but it's as described. The chipboard/particle board construction is typical for this grade of furniture. The tubes are cheap plastic, but sturdy enough as long as you don't try to overload the whole thing. You can cram it full of paperback books and it'll hold up. Instructions are decent enough pictographs, with typical "Engrish": "hamber" instead of hammer for instance. I didn't need a hammer, I just gently placed the "caps" in place and stepped on top of the board to ease it in. A little "heel bounce" and they popped in fine, no tools needed. The laminate is also typical. 5 of 6 sides covered, but the shelf bottoms are unfortunately not also laminated. There's a slight overlap on one "edge" of the shelves. Not very noticable, but make sure to put them all at the "back" of the shelf for best viewing. Not necessary, it's minor, but worth noting ahead of time. You CAN unscrew the poles and repack it if needed. You CAN assemble it with just 1/2/3 shelves in place. You can NOT make 2 smaller shelves though, not even 2 cubes, unless you add extra material from somewhere else. As another review notes, the top shelf isn't designed to screw in the "right" way. You can just put it on top and the recess will hold it in place well enough. What you are supposed to do though, is assemble the whole thing, then counter screw the poles into the top, then tighten the other poles "up" to the top shelf. For one and a quarter "Andrew Jacksons", it's the best you'll find in a new shelf. Now how about a click on that "helpful" button?

I was hesitant to buy this because people claimed it was hard to build. It wasn't at all. The directions were clear and it took me about 15 minutes to assemble on my own. It was well packed with blocks of styrofoam protecting the contents of the box on each side as well as top and bottom. There was no damage to any of the pieces. If there's a complaint to be had with this shelf it's that the box wasn't a generic Amazon box. They shipped it in the original manufacturer's box. Allowing any passerby to know what it was before I got home.

I needed a shelf for the corner of my room near my entertainment stand to hold books and other collectibles so I could finally pull them out of a box and display them. It is perfect for this purpose. I actually really love it and think it added a lot to my living space. I wouldn't necessarily suggest having it out in a space where there is not at least one wall to back it against since it is not super heavy, but as a corner shelf it is perfect. It was crazy easy to put together (which I knew because I purchased a TV stand from the same company) and great for a graduate student apartment. If I had another corner I'd get a second one in a heartbeat.

The Furinno shelf arrived yesterday. It claimed it would be easy to set up, but i didn't believe it. I was wrong. It took me about 30 minutes, wouldn't have taken so long but I was watching TV while I built it. The pieces basically just screw together by hand. No tools needed. It's really so simple it's genius. It feels sturdy. The shelves are wood, the support posts are light but sturdy plastic. My concern when buying this, was that it would be too lightweight and tip over easily. That's not the case at all. With the shelves being wood, it has nice weight without being too heavy. I am absolutely stunned at how easy it was to build, how nice it looks and how sturdy it feels. I have written a lot of reviews over the years here about things I have purchased. This the first time, I wrote a review so soon after receiving an item and with such positivity. I am being sincere when I say everything about this is great.

I actually only ordered one of these stands but Amazon accidently sent me two. I liked the first one so much, I decided to keep it & pay for the duplicate without a second thought. These stands are crazy easy to put together [no directions needed] & the top threads worked [sat/screwed in] perfectly. Unlike several other reviews that stated they did not at some point. The base has 4 small, 2" nubs/feet that can be slightly unscrewed as to level & steady your unit. The color is black & the underside of each shelf is fairly dark as well. [i mention this since most affordable units sold have that terrible looking, unpainted, unfinished particle board underneath] Each shelf can also safely hold up to 10 pounds. Now, I'm not saying these stands are exquisite by means. But, if you're looking for a quality, decent looking, affordable stand[s] for your home, or, bathroom, like me, this will certainly fit the bill! These stands also appear to have a decent, protective glossy coating that seems to shield these stands quite well from the constant barrage of humidity our shower hits them with. Atleast, there's no apparent damage or warping whatsoever from the moisture to date. However, we always use the bathroom fan when showering so may be helping. Lastly, have a black or dark brown magic marker on hand just case you notice any imperfections upon assembly. I really don't think you'll regret your purchase regarding price or quality! Overall, good product!

I almost returned this product because there appeared to be missing pieces, but they were there! I'm really glad I kept it, it's super cute! I actually did a little modification and spray pained the tubes, legs, and toppers gold to match the theme of my room. It's not super wide so it fits perfectly where I needed it. I love it! It's pretty light, so it, of course, is a little wobbly, but it's tucked away in the corner so it's not getting knocked around. I'd definitely recommend this product for the price.

For the price and design of this product, It's excellent. Also, keep in mind that each shelf is only rated for around 6 pounds( due to the plastic pipes. That however for the size is perfectly fine. I wouldn't recommend buying this if you intend to cover each shelf entirely in large books ) This shelf is perfect for storing smaller items and is perfect for displaying trinkets or some such. That being said, there are a few things to consider. It is not very stable. and you will need to secure it to another object and weight the bottom(with books or other heavy objects) to ensure that it stays still. Assembly was simple but required a bit more effort than I would have liked. As some other reviewers have mentioned this is wood shelves with plastic rods that screw together. Therefore there are 4 plastic inserts that need to be pressed into the top shelf. After that, the assembly is just screwing in the pipes and then place the next board and repeat the process.
