The assembly is really easy. Except for the plastic pieces, you have to "hammer" in to the wood boards, in order to screw the legs into place. I ended up having to put on some boots and step on them, as I did not have a "rubber mallet" as the instructions called for. Even with my full body weight on the pieces some still refused to go in, until I slightly jumped on them. With that being said, the assembly was very simple and the tables work perfect as my night stands.

These are great so long as you go in knowing that they are *not* real wood and metal (I feel like that should obvious, given the price). I put them together into a single three-tiered table so it would be tall enough to hold a lamp beside my couch (the individual tables are pretty short). They look much nicer than you'd expect. The legs look like real metal but without the weight, and the "wood" has a distressed look that was exactly what I wanted to match my decor (but could be misinterpreted as damage). The color matches what was pictured and it took less than 5 minutes to put together. I'd read the reviews, so I was prepared for the "no tools" to mean "tools" during assembly (I used the bottom part of a hammer instead of a rubber mallet - the metal might have cracked the shelves). Even all together, the table is so incredibly light that I can toss it around with one hand; convenient, but important to plan to put something heavy on the bottom if combining like I did.

I was really impressed with what I got for the price. I originally bought these end tables to use in the bedroom as night stands, but when I redid my home office, I found I needed a small stand in a tight space for my laser printer. The recommended weight for each shelf is 10 pounds, and the printer weighs almost 24 pounds. So far I haven't had a problem with this setup. As far as the quality of the product, it is good. The edges had a little wear, nothing extreme, but probably from handling and packaging. No real scratches to talk about. The assembly went flawless. It's funny, the instructions say no tools needed, but as you read on it says to use a rubber mallet for the plugs that go into one of the shelves. You really do need one, so be aware. When pounding just go slow and give it about 3 or 4 light wacks. If the plug starts to go off to one side, just hit the other side lightly to even it out until you get it all the way down. I guess now I will have to get another pair once my bedroom remodel is done. Would not hesitate to buy again.

I bought two of these tables to use as inexpensive replacement nightstands for our master bedroom. We were listing our house to sell so needed to stage the room as well as have an area to keep items at night since our previous tables were damaged. When they arrived, I was slightly disappointed in the materials - though exactly as advertised, I don't know what I was expecting. But once I put them together I think they're great. Sturdy and attractive. We don't keep much on them and since both shelves are exposed, it looks best when kept minimal and neat. Holds a heavy lamp, alarm clock, bottled water and phone. We have a king sized bed and the proportion to the tables are fine. We sold our home so money isn't an issue but I plan to keep these around awhile. I don't need to spend hundreds of dollars on wooden night tables with drawers when these effectively serve the purpose. I'm totally happy for now.

Previous reviews claim you need a rubber mallet to assemble. This is no longer the case. The tables I received did not require any tools. You simply assemble by screwing the legs to the top of the table using only your hands. Instructions are included in the box. Very simple. Read the dimensions, table weight limit & reviews. If you decide these tables are right for you, you will be happy with your purchase. After buying a set for my living room, I decided to buy an additional set for my bedroom. They are nothing fancy but I was only looking for decent looking tables that match & could hold drinks/candles/lamps/etc. All 4 tables received (2 separate sets) were in perfect condition. None of the tables had damage or blemishes coming out of the box. I'm 100% satisfied & would recommend to friends/family.

Dont let the price fool you..these table are inexpensive but do not look cheap in my home. Very sturdy and a nice wood finish

These end tables are amazing! And for only $30!! They were super easy to put together. It calls for a rubber mallet as one of the tools, but I didn't have one so I just used my hammer. No Knicks, or dents. These tables are perfect for my living room. I think I might get another set.

Extremly easy to assemble. Arrived in 2 days. The easiest furniture I ever relocated with before assembly. Took up about a much room as a folded comforter. No shakes. No wobbles. No worries. Work great. The perfect size IF YOU ARE SMART ENOUGH TO READ THE SPECIFICATIONS WHICH A VERY PRECISE AND CLEARLY WRITTEN ON THIS PRODUCTS PAGE. Sorry but if you bought this product and then decided to give it a bad review then you sir or madam should certainly shift your focus away from being stuck up, and turn your attention to the specs that were made available to everyone including yourself before you bought this item and then decided to waste everyones time by complaining. Good luck with your transformation! DID I MENTION THE INCREDIBLE PRICE FOR 2 OF THESE TABLES. And BONUS...easily convert these 2 tables into 1 tall table with two shelves. So...multifunctionable and IS MUCH TALLER THAN I EVER EXPECTED!!!!

Though these aren't "great" pieces of furniture, I got better than I expected and am pleased with how easy these were to assemble. I needed what amount to "telephone stands" on which to place some Yamaha speakers I recently bought, so that they would be higher up thus more listenable. these didn't take long to put together, and all I needed - which I didn't have - was a rubber mallet which got from Walmart. the mallet was to tamp down the plastic inserts on the top piece so I could screw in the legs, then the bottom piece, then the feet, and presto -- tables were assembled. took me about 10 minutes. while these aren't anything I'll keep for a long time sicne they're not real pieces of furniture, they will do nicely until I find something that's real wood or close to it, that's heavier and taller. But these were good therapy for me to build and feel confident that I could put these together, because two years ago I lost some sight and had cervical spine stenosis, making my hands inoperable for a time and causing me to fall and not be able to get up, until I had surgery to fix this and then learn to walk again. So this was more for therapy than anything but a good experience. Now I know I can still put stuff together.

This is a classic "You get what you pay for" item and not necessarily in a bad way. They're light weight and look a lot nicer than they feel. they're also surprisingly sturdy my friend who is 6'4" and easily around to 250 pounds sat on one and it didn't break. It may have been an anomaly but it's still pretty impressive for $25.00. You need a hammer to put them together but they're pretty easy to assemble all you have to do is hammer in plastic screw holes and then screw in the legs, it took me about 10 minutes for both tables. They had a few imperfections but you're getting two end tables for $25.00 and the blemishes aren't noticeable enough for any major complaints. At the end of the day if you're furnishing an apartment, a basement, a dorm suite/room on a budget these are perfect. They do the job and you can't find a cheaper pair of matching end tables.
