Perfect for a Small Dog & Her Short Owner!

I bought this to carry my 7-pound Morkie after previously trying a front-facing dog carrier. My dog was very nervous with her legs dangling while I was concerned that the straps could slip off my shoulders. That experience lead me to search for a better alternative. The Slowton Pet Carrier is the perfect solution, and my dog agrees with the 5-star rating! She comes running whenever I put the carrier on the couch for her to climb in. The carrier is comfortable and adjustable so that it fits my 5’3” self securely. It also works well for my 6’4” hubby. We’re both big fans of the padded strap and cell phone pouch.

LOVE THIS! My dog is a hefty 10lbs and she fits in this beautifully. Even enough room to snuggle down inside when she wants to. Love the front pocket for my phone, keys etc. Love the padded and adjustable shoulder strap too!

Adjustable strap is the best feature!

After a lot of research I selected this carrier specifically because of the adjustable shoulder strap. This turned out to be a valuable feature, allowing my husband to shorten the strap several inches to carry our Maltese at chest level which made our dog feel more secure than sitting lower at the hip where she was totally freaking out. Despite raising it higher, the pouch was much too deep for our 7 lb Maltese, her little head could not stick out without strangling her throat. I had to fold and sew the front end of the sack inward by 3” gradually decreasing / tapering it going towards the rear, which allows her to keep her head exposed. I also looped a black Velcro tie through the front elastic buttonhole loop to keep the strap away from her face (like a seatbelt adjuster). These alterations prevent the carrier from being alternately switched to the opposite shoulder (the front must remain the front) but they allow her to be comfortable without compromising the overall depth and safety of the sack. This was a small concession. The carrier is good looking and very well made with one exception that I found annoying. Though the strap buckle is a subtle matte black plastic, the elastic security loops are bright white elastic and the buttons are glossy white plastic which looks horribly cheap in my opinion; the manufacturer could easily have made them black to match the buckle. To get around this I used a black sharpie to carefully color the elastic loops inside and outside which looks much classier, I couldn’t replace the buttons because they’re securely sewn into the lining matching fabric loops. This carrier isn’t available in black which I would have preferred and almost didn’t buy for that reason. Settling for gray with navy lining was a fair compromise to get the adjustable strap which none of the other sling carriers have. I would definitely buy this again.

Love it!!

Absolutely love it. It’s actually bigger than I thought it would be and that is good. I have a 5 pound Chihuahua and she actually likes being in it. It’s deep so I added a blanket so she could sit up higher.

Worked well with my dogs!

This is a well made pet carrier. My dogs are two rescue dogs that I've had for less than a year. They are both fearful of anything new, especially the vet visits. I got these to take them to the vet and groomer. They don't like to be picked up, so I thought they might feel more secure in the SlowTon Pet Carrier. I tried it for the first time yesterday and they seemed to like it as if it gave them some security. I expect to use these for all our visits, out of the house, with our dogs. This is a strong, sturdy, well made carrier and I'm very pleased. My heaviest dog is 20 lbs. and he fit in.

Love that I can carry my dog close to my chest

I have two dogs that I use this bag for, one is my 13 year old chihuahua who can't get up and down stairs and the other is my seven pound terrier who at times I take places with me. It is difficult to carry things and my chihuahua too so this bag comes in handy. It is made out of strong material and I love that it doesn't have just one of those metal rings as the strap adjuster/holder. I also love that I can adjust the bag so my dogs are in the bag close to my chest area and not hanging at my side where they are more likely to get bumped around. I also love that I can securely put their whole body in the bag or they can sort hang out with their front paws; the bag is deep enough that they cant jump out or fall out. The only concern I have is I dont know if being in the bag is quite comfortable for them. It doesnt seem like they are really sitting in the bag more like being held in it.

Well made great features

This sling was exactly what I was looking for to take my dogs on my rides. It actually first both my small dogs in it. It has a small leash to attach to your dog's color to prevent them from jumping out. 2 button fasteners close the bag nicely and it even has a pouch to store poop bags and treats.

Best carrier!

Love this carrier!!! This is my second carrier for my 10 lb dog. The first was a fleece sling. This is such an upgrade! Dog is so comfy, I can hook him in for extra security and peach of mind. The two buttons allow me to secure the sling around him and the pocket feature fits my iPhone plus or his leash. The padded strap is very comfortable and adjustable. I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend. I carry my dog while out shopping and sometimes around the house. I’m planning to take this on vacation and think it will do great! Seems to be well made and I like the grey/green color.

Best pet sling carrier out there

This is the best sling type carrier out there for pets. Our 14 lb dachshund fits in it perfectly and I'm not worried about her falling out at all. Most sling type carriers have the loop system for the strap and that has never seemed secure to me. This has a strap that is thick and padded and super secure. No latches, straps, or click-in type closures.
