Worth every penny!

Of the three types I bought, this was the best built. Worth a few dollars more because of the shape and the rubber insert that protects the paint. Shape means it fits more cars and trucks better than the ones that are wider at the back. You will know what I mean when you buy it, or if you buy the wrong one that has a wider back. I use it on a couple of different vehicles and it fits better than the others I bought, therefore it is more sure-footed to stand on.

One Step Up with Tobfit

I received this car doorstep by Tobfit to review. Although I was skeptical at first about how this would work on my Subaru Outback, once I tried it in both the front and rear door latch loops, I was sold on its utility. I regularly carry a Yakima roof storage unit on my vehicle and have had to always look for a bucket or stepstool to load up and unload it. This Tobfit Car Doorstep is a little bigger than a cellphone, but is well made of aluminum with non-slip step pad and a rubber end cap to protect your car finish in the doorjam. It folds nicely in the provided soft cloth storage bag and easy to store in your glove compartment or center console. Just place this in your doorjam loop, step on your door threshhold, then step up on this doorstep. Now your on top of your roof. (great for using when polishing the roof of your vehicle!)

A Simply Great Idea

Ingenious concept, and so simple! Adds a sturdy step where needed. Well-built and rugged, I can use this step on any of the 4 door latches of my Durango. I haven't seen it talked about in other comments, but a step device like this not only lets you reach the top of the car, but also allow you to be much closer to your cargo than when using a box or step stool. This is a 5-star product!

it's smaller than you imagine; but has a good and solid construction, looks very good too, ideal for people with SUVs and use the roof top, in my case i carry my bikes on the roof, i am 6 feet tall and my car is not that big, it's a Subaru Forester; but sometimes in the woods the car ends up in position that makes handling the bikes a little difficult

Everything as advertised

I just received the doorstep so I haven’t used it for the upcoming ski season. It appears to be everything as advertised. It is made of metal and looks to be very strong. It fits well on my 2017 Subaru Outback door latch. I will no longer have to stand with one foot on the latch when I put skis in and out of my rooftop box. I now have a secure platform to place my foot on. The doorstep has a nice bag to store it in and it easily slides into the pocket behind the drivers seat so I’ll have it handy when I need it. It has rubber on the part of the doorstep that rests against the car door sill so it will not scratch the paint. I can’t wait to try it out on a regular basis.

Product received as described. It comes with a compatible storage bag which will help this device fit in multiple areas for easy storage and retrieval for use. It does work as described and without fuss. I have a bigger SUV and this “step” will allow me easy access to my roof so I can at least try to clean some bird “presents” from it before they become small “castles”. (Esp. Important for those of us that live in shore communities where the gulls seem to use our cars for target practice”!) only possible caveat that I see is the potential for difficulty by a user with a larger foot size. Think if a man’s foot is much over a size 11 or 12 there may be a problem with usage. Otherwise, it is what they say it is!

Works Great!

This is exactly what we needed. My husband and I have a small camping trailer that we use for extended travel and often need to store extra gear on the roof rack of our Toyota 4 runner. Being vertically challenged it's hard for me to help him with the roof loading and unloading. This solves the problem. I'm ordering another for his side ( although he says he doesn't need it) to make this task easier and safer for him also.

Works great for a 60 year old

Wish I invented this, brilliant and well designed and built. Works best on slanted door jamb. Guy who left review about the angle of step, had vertical door jamb
