The AV connection did not work with my TV nor my receiver. I bought this in hopes to be able to play some old games. It was a simple plug and play for me. It incompletely replaces the AV cord.

Doesn’t work with all games just vga games

I was literally speechless when I first saw it.

Before I begin, I would like to state that I received this product for free but that will not influence my opinion, take that how you will. First, let's start with the price. This is the cheapest HDMI option you can get from your Dreamcast. Now while I don't have other HDMI options to compare with this cable yet, for 27.99 and Prime shipping, it's an absolute steal. Second, image clarity. I've been using composite cables since I first got my Dreamcast and was exploring other options. Like I said before, I was literally blown away even when seeing the console boot. When going through City Escape from Sonic Adventure 2, it looked just like the HD version released on 360/PS3/PC. I had no idea the Dreamcast was even capable of producing video output this good. Seriously, for this price, it can't be beat. Now I don't know if this is a problem with the cable but the image seems to be very bright, even when turning brightness settings down on my TV. It's not a big problem but nonetheless, you should know about it. Would I recommend this cable? Yes. Should you buy this cable? Yes, but only if you don't have something else. (duh) Overall score is a 5/5 I'll try to post pictures and videos soon so you can get an idea of the quality.

Best bang for your buck as a Dreamcast HDMI solution

I did receive this cable for free. This cable is about as easy as it gets to provide HDMI output from a Dreamcast. Unboxed the product, plugged it into the Dreamcast (smooth easy fit), connected an HDMI cable and it displayed instantly on my 4k led tv. This cable definitely gets a plus because it doesn't require any power hookup, it just uses the power from the Dreamcast or TV. As far as picture: the picture looks fine in 4x3 or 16:9 aspect ratio. Colors look good, 3d games look fantastic and EGG (the only 2d game I have) looks vibrant and crisp. All in all for $25 I think it's one of the easiest upgrades you could make for you Dreamcast.If you're looking into displaying your DC through HDMI this is the best bang for your buck currently. I would endorse this product, and the customer service of the producer who helped me resolve a small issue.
