I feel like I took a chance on this one and it paid off, for the price this is a really nice heat gun. It lacks weight but makes up for it with features. I like how the temperature adjusts by turning the entire black ring on the back. There's an LED on the handle to show it has power which is a nice touch. The speed setting rocker switch can be a little touchy. It can stand up on its back with the outlet pointing up; afterwards finding in the manual (which is actually really good by the way) it's suggested to do so and let it run at the lowest temperature for 15 seconds to cool down after use. The accessories are nice and all fit correctly, not sure what the rod with two nuts is for quite yet. I've used it so far to warm butyl rubber to seal headlights and for heat shrink. Worked great for both and I'm sure it will get used more.

I really like this heat gun. I only used it once but it works well so far. This is the first one I've had so I can't say how it would compare to others but so far it seems to have a lot of good points. First, although it's bigger than I would have thought, it's fairly light which is good if you will be holding it for long periods of time. Second, it has the ability to set the temp at lot of different settings due to the dial on the back. Third, It has a very heavy duty cord and it's long enough to be used without an extension cord in most cases. Forth, it has a bunch of tips that can be used for various uses. Fifth, it comes with a flat blade tool and some kind of screw driver which I haven't figured out what it's for yet. Sixth, it has a safety temperature sensor that will shut it down in case of overheating. Seventh, the instructions are excellent, written in clear English. I believe this tool will come in quite handy for a lot of different uses, including changing out screens on my iPad which is what I bought it for, as well as some body work like pulling dents out on a my car. The instructions give plenty of ideas on uses for it. I hope this review is helpful, and I don't know if there are any better deals out there, but I don't think you will be disappointed with this heat gun if you decide to buy it. I paid full price so this review is honest and not due to receiving a free product of any kind, just an FYI.

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box of this heat gun to see the quality product that I had purchased. I am an aviation electrician by trade and a car audio and mods enthusiast by hobby so I use heat guns quite a bit. The material of the heat gun handle feels like a lightweight plastic and seems a little flimsy but is actually very sturdy. The heat variable dial is on the back of the heat gun which is what I'm used to with the much more expensive Steinell heat guns we use at work. The heat comes on quickly and goes up in temperature fast too. It'll work great on any heat shrink tubing and environmental splices that have heat shrink to cover the splice. I am very glad I purchased this heat gun. I've needed one at home for a while now but didn't want to spend the money the my employer does, so I'm glad I found a budget tool that works great!

I've used this heat gun a couple of times now and I'm very pleased with the speed at which it heats up. It has good controls and if it's set to low, it doesn't get too hot, and it heats up to the higher levels within a few minutes. It has some heft to it so it doesn't feel cheap, but it isn't too heavy to use for longer periods of time. The fan is not super quiet, but it's quieter than a hair dryer. If I'm using it for long periods, I'll probably use ear plugs just because I tend to be a little paranoid about my hearing. I appreciate all of the extra pieces that come with it and they seem to be good quality. I haven't yet put it through all it's paces, but so far, it does exactly what it says it should do, and does it well.

I was using this to try and melt PLA to form a uniform skin on some 3D printed parts. I purchased it because it came with two reduction nozzles that would let me focus the heat on to a specific areas. All the extras worked well and having the two positions for the gun are nice. Even when the gun is up to the highest temperature the plastics remain cool. Definitely worth the purchase.

Great idea! I have various tasks for heat guns, from heat shrinking solder connections to removing lablels and sticker to paint and varnish removal. Most heat guns have two settings, high and Really high! This gun goes from a mild 75F to 320F +-. It also has various attachments to reduce the size of the air stream to make it usable for electronics work as well as adapters for paint removal. Great product, one tool does it all!

I was in need of a heat gun for a while for my smaller projects, but not in dire need of it until the day I got it. I am so relieved to see it in the mail the same day my girlfriend crashed her car and ended up ripping some wires that had the car go crazy with flashing lights on the dash. I was able to join the damaged wires together and this heat gun was the key component in making sure the heat shrinking connectors and wire protection were on securely. If it wasn't for this heat gun, her car would probably be sitting in the garage waiting for me to do something about fixing. It came at the perfect time and will come in handy with many more planned projects down the line. It comes with lots of great attachments (I used the 5 step cone to pinpoint where I wanted to direct the heat on my shrink tubing) and the heat gun itself has a quick ramp up time and is very easy to use for any project. It produces great amounts of heat at the max setting and it is also very comfortable to hold in the hand. I can't wait to bust it out again for my next project!

We just moved into a hundred year old house, and let's just say, there are a lot of renovation projects to be completed. One of which are removing endless layers of thick paint, that has accumulated over the years. This heat gun worked perfect for warming the layers, making it really easy to scrape off, using the attachment. The second project I tried it on was removing the cheap linoleum tile, from an old, very bad remodel of the kitchen. Just like the paint, the heat gun worked like a charm to warm the tiles from the old adhesive, making it easy to scrape up and pull off. We have a lot of tools, but never had a gun, before. Didn't know what we were missing - a renovation must. Highly recommend!

Very nice. I used this for about 2 weeks and I have to say that it held it's own against some brands like Wagner and more. I was impressed with the high quality and low price. It and it comes with all the extra items that you have to buy usually. Everything but a case. But who needs one when you have have it sitting on your work bench. Place it facing up with nozzle facing upwards towards the ceiling for it's natural in use position. Use the heat gun as you would normally but now you have the ability to use both your hands. Dont worry It wont burn your table top or your workbech. As long as you keep it off of shag carpet think it wont be of any danger of catching anything on fire. I tested this unit out and ran it continuously for 30 min 3 x day for a week And there is no instance where it seemed to melt any part of the heat gun itself or any of the different types of surfaces. I feel confident in recommending this product. I will post some pictures of the different accessories that came included in this hear gun package from YOME. Thanks and til next time, cheers!
