This controller is amazing
To start this review, this controller isn't perfect for one reason that later 8bitdo patch with a firmware update. The buttons and the d-pad fell great for playing platforms and the sticks feel like a combination between Xbox one and PS4 sticks. This controller I mostly use for the switch but I did use it on the PC to play emulator's and works great, just make sure you read the manual that it comes with to know how to connect it to several devices. The problem I had with the controller is that the rumble of the controller made so much noise and quickly began being annoying. 8bitdo fixed it but you need to download the update to a computer and then install it on the controller, it was rather easy and quick.

Awesome!
Would give this 4.5 if I could. Reasoning being, I had to open it up to fix the left bumper. After that it worked amazing. Have used it for Super smash bros ultimate (switch), fortnite, forza, ghost recon wildlands, apex, etc (pc). Not recommend for driving games that aren’t on the switch, as it has button triggers and not analog. With all that being said, I love this controller. Very compact but not too small. Can fit in a front pant pocket. I own a PS4 and Xbox and love both those controllers, but prefer this when playing games that don’t require precision using the triggers.

No more cords!!
I bought this in hopes to be used for my Super Famicom Classic and as you know the cord length isn't that great and I can't sit as far as I want, thank God 8bitdo made these controllers and they work like a charm!! I only turned it on once and it synced right away!! Feels like the original controllers only cordless!! Buy this you won't regret it!! Works with NES classic and SNES classic as well.

Fantasic form factor for portable gaming
I got this controller for my laptop as my main one for my PC couldn’t fit in my laptop bag (it’s the Hyperkin Duke, go figure). It’s an absolutely great little thing with an awesome design. The buttons feels surprisingly good and the controller fits well in my hands. The sticks are a bit “cheap” feeling but they feel like they will still last some time. They also click inwards! Which is a great suprise. The vibration motor is a bit too loud for my taste so I turn it off in most games. It connects super quick to my laptop and has no noticeable latency. Plays games great and I’m happy to have it. I’ll be posting another update a few months down the line to report on longevity.

Works perfect with the Nintendo Switch
I bought this controller on Black Friday to play with my Nintendo Switch. It connects perfectly without any delays and I didn’t need to update it or anything. Button travel is small. Analog movement is smooth and spring tension brings it back to center without any ghost travel. Battery life is solid and you can charge and play at the same time. It also works great while playing super smash ultimate.

Nostalgia with a modern kick
I got this controller after watching and reading many reviews, I was very skeptical at first but after using it with my Nvidia Shield TV and my PC for RetroArch and a few modern games, I am very impressed and LOVE this controller! I love that it feels like a SNES controller it brings back so many memories just holding it even, and the control sticks make it the ultimate casual and retro gamer controller.

8bitdo strikes gold for NintendoSwitch accessories yet again!
probably one of the best Switch controllers available if you're into retro gaming / metroidvania / platform gaming titles. force feedback, four trigger buttons, motion controls, dual analog, and USB-C are all here, and at a very respectable price point. if you don't want to splurge on a Switch ProController, this is your best bet. and it's very portable. battery life is incredible (lasted for three 4-6hour Hollow Knight sit-downs before needing more juice). buttons are responsive and don't get stuck while depressed, and there is no noticable lag (again, Switch mode, with a docked Switch). very happy with this piece of hardware. may be smaller for those with large hands / long fingers, as I sometimes encounter issue with, but once you sort out where your digits should go, it's not a nuisance.

I never write reviews, but ...
These things are AWESOME! I bought two for a retropie setup and they are incredible. I really never take the time to log back in and write something about stuff I buy on Amazon. But I felt I had to with these. I am used to getting super light, cheaply made chinesium stuff from either this site or the auction site I use frequently, but these things are made really well. I have no idea about how long the battery lasts, I only set them up last night. But if you search for how to set them up, you will get some detailed instructions on hooking them up to the pie. I am really really impressed.

High quality
Just like the originals, these are really high quality. We have 2 for the snes classic, and it controls just like the wired controllers but with the freedom of wireless. They feel like the real deal too.

An older looking but futuristically advanced controller that perfectly replaced my pro controller!
It's quite rare that I actually enjoy a product as much as I have with this controller. While I'm uncertain about the overall life-span of this controller, the controller is nearly flawless. It's become my new Smash Bros companion, and it's been just as fun and enjoyable to use as my pro controller has been! Low latency, very reactivate responses, and a old-fashioned appeal have made this basically a must have for me wherever I go with my switch. It's also lasted upwards of 10 hours of consistent play. My only two complaints - which should be nowhere near a deal breaker - are the lack of NFC reading, and a slight noise occuring from the controller while rumbling. I truly do love this controller, and would definitely buy one again.
