Just Right

Ordered for our 2012 Ford Escape when the trunk motor went to crap. Sadly we couldn’t find the motor alone and had to order the whole mechanism. Worked perfectly though. Would order again if needed.

Correct tool important

Product was easy to install and so far works great. Make sure to have correct bit to remove the threes screws that hold it to lift gate. I didn't and had to make a extra trip to town to purchase bit. Size you need is a T27 torx head. One I purchased fits on a 3/8" drive ratchet. Auto shop in my area estimated $300.00 to do this job, I did it for $50.00.

2012 Ford Escape worked PERFECT!

Tailgate wasn't closing properly when shut, was bouncing back open then closing on 2nd bounce...so thought something was up. Other Day it doesn't open, but did 1 time later in day. Google, found out 300+ from dealer to fix, so ordered this, watched a youtube vid and done in about 20 mins. Removing plastic tailgate internal cover was hardest part...getting those clips off took some work. -1 kinda broke and stuck in (but I pulled it out with some mini flat heads, bent it and put it back on. 90% good as normal. power cable clips came off easily (lucky) 3 torx screws were on TIGHT Put new one in with 2 screw lightly, put plugs back in and tested, VERY snappy, seems better than original. Locked it all back down and works perfect. Will update if any issues later, but super easy. Good luck with those clips!

Fit 2012 ford escape perfectly

One YouTube video got this installed at home. Prefect fit, seemingly decent quality. Been using it for a few weeks without issue (opening and closing it maybe a couple times a week.

Perfect fit

I got for my 09 Ford Escape. Screws to orginal Actuator are extremely tight. I used my drill but the part fit perfectly and I had no problems installing it. It took maybe 30mins for everything and the hardest part was putting the trim back on my back hatch installing the actuator took less then 5 mins.

The price was much lower than the dealer and worked liked a factory part. Installed easily too (once you have the back door apart and the area open of course).
