Fixed my "red lightning bolt" in my Dodge Avenger
I have a 2013 Dodge Avenger with the 2.4l engine. Occasionally I would lose power and a red lightning bolt would appear in my instrument panel. I also noticed it was shifting hard but thought I may have a separate transmission issue. After watching a YouTube video I determined it was my throttle body. Purchased this and in a half hour after opening the hood I had it replaced. My car is running like a charm and the hard shifting was due to the power loss associated with the throttle body failing. Thanks a ton!

Just what I needed!
I was getting the dreaded "dead pedal" on my 2014 Jeep Patriot. After having the dealership diagnose the issue, they quoted some outrageous price to replace this little guy. After watching some YouTube videos and recruiting some friends with tools, I decided to tackle this myself. The installation process took a little bit, but that's primarily on Jeep for making the under-the-hood area so darn congested. But this fixed my issue. My check engine light went off, I wasn't getting dead pedal anymore, etc. This is the best priced throttle body on Amazon, but you're definitely not sacrificing anything in quality.

Easy job on a Jeep Compass
(2016 Jeep Compass) If you can do simple bolt on/off projects, you won't have any trouble with this. This is our only car, so I went slow and it still only took 45 minutes. To start, I found it easier to take out the battery, which is only 2-3 minutes to do. If you have big hands or are half-blind (I'm both), take out the battery. Once you have the throttle body hose off, use a bungee cord to keep the radiator hose pulled out of the way. The two most tedious parts are the sensor on the throttle body and an engine bracket. (1st) I chose to unbolt the throttle body first and then lift it up to take off the sensor. The sensor has to be squeezed on both sides to come off and I couldn't get to it with it still bolted on. (Mess the sensor up and you've really got a problem) (2nd) Would be that on a Compass, the two inner throttle body bolts are connected to a bracket on the engine. Not much to the bracket other than lining it up when you put it back on. (I took the bracket bolt out of the engine and then put it back it once I had the throttle body on.} Note: Don;t let any of this intimidate you. When you're done, you'll admit was easy and you just saved yourself $400 plus. Also, there are a couple of good videos out there showing how to do this. Just do a search and you will see them.

Great price and did the job...
My 2010 Caliber started running really bad and after some research, I found that I needed to replace the throttle body. I found this one and it looks exactly like the one off my car and it did come with a gasket. Fit and finish was really nice and had no issues installing it in my car. Took maybe 30 minutes and just removed the battery and hose coming from the airbox that connected to the part. After getting it buttoned up, my car started and ran great. The dashboard error light cleared and I did not have to reset or do anything special. I would recommend to anyone.

Fixed major problem (red lightning bolt)
5 months later still working so far. Found this to be the solution to the “red lightning bolt” symbol. This must be an important part because having that light come on, which also brought all other lights in the dashboard on and having your car stalling is pretty nerve racking while driving. So this would be a good first guess should you have any issues like this they initially tried replacing the whole fuse box, maybe because all the lights came on also? Had someone else instal it on a Jeep Patriot so cant say how easy it was but fixed major problem.

Works great
After doing a lot of research on which product to buy and what would need to be done after the installation, I settled on this part. The part worked great and was easy to install on my daughters 2016 Jeep. I only had to remove the intake tube and use a bungee cord to hold back the upper radiator hose to get at the throttle body. After reassembly there was no need to reprogram or flash the computer, everything worked great and it runs perfectly. I recommend that anytime you work on a vehicle with a computer that you disconnect the negative battery cable as your first step.

Great for the price. Why buy OEM to have it fail AGAIN?
I figured I would try this because the OEM one is big money and they clearly have issues so I don't want to spend that much just to have the same thing happen. More often than not, the OEM throttle bodies have plastic gears on the inside that lose teeth and wear causing them to fail, which is exactly what happened to mine (photo attached) I installed this throttle body in about an hour with basic hand tools and taking my time. So far so good.

2014 jeep patriot, Gravy install
1/6 of the price from autozone, ridiculously easy install. Flat head screwdriver, 8mm and 10 mm socket is alls thats needed. Suggest removing negative battery terminal for safety and to clear out the check engine light. Driven for over a week no issues, gas mileage is back to factory also.

Great product
Perfect replacement for oem part, my girl and I installed it (along with a new air filter) in her Jeep in less than two hours. Her Patriot fired right up and ran like a champ, after about fifteen miles the check engine light went out (we removed the battery to make installation easier) a couple of hundred miles later, very satisfied.

Increased power and response by 80% !
This product turned my 2.4 liter engine with 96k miles into a power machine. If you don’t think your old ETC is not the problem, think again. I’ve changed plugs had tube ups cleaned injectors and added treatments and nothing came close to the difference in power and especially in response time. Now my Jeep idles smooth and when you press the accelerator it moves immediately. I love this product and saved a ton by ordering through Amazon. Thank you Amazon and thank you very much AA Ignition !!!
