Holy cow these are the most yummy candy ever. I love sweedish fish and I actually like these MORE. I enjoyed smart sweets' gummy bears but these are better. I know why they are expensive...you will pay it because they are delicious and without all the sugar. I had no stomach troubles eating these. You will not be disappointed.
I recently started on a low carb diet and was craving candy every day. I searched all over for sugar free sweets that were sweetened without sugar alcohols (which cause extreme intestinal discomfort). This is the only candy on the market that is sweetened that does not contain sugar alcohols as it is sweetened with stevia. The fish and sweet gummy bears are my favorite. Healthy candy? It’s possible! I can’t wait to see what new products they come up with next.
I love Smart Sweets in general. These fish are on another level though! I really really love the gummy bears and happily spend $45. The same goes for these fish. Yes, they are more expensive than "normal" candy. But, if you're looking for the chewy gummy fish consistency, these are the closest low sugar/low carb ones that I've ever tried! Spend the money, have them as a treat. It's sooooo worth it!
I have been buying these at 2 - 12 pack boxes a month and without warning they changed the ingredients - i just read last month on the this site and on the product it was the steva sweetener but now my new box arrived yesterday and I could not understand why i was so sick struck in the bathroom for 4 hours, ALLULOSE HURTS A LOT OF PEOPLE!!! I only ate 2 of the fish candy out of a 1 bag serving size , thank goodness I did not eat a serving . another seller of a different product did the same and added Allulose WHICH IS MADE FROM CORN AND IS A GMO!!!!! yet SMART SWEET is saying it is in figs when it is not the one they are using in the fish shaped candy. and they have non gmo on the new box still and the Allulose product used for sweetener is made from CORN AND IS A GMO!
As someone looking for low calorie and low sugar options for snack time and sweet cravings SmartSweets are perfect! The Sweet Fish are my favorite of their line and are so good. The berry flavor is delicious and the portion size is just right. Definitely going to be a repeat customer of SmartSweets!
Being on a weight loss/muscle building plan for a while and these are great for satisfying the craving for sweet and suppressing your appetite with the fact that it has 100% DV of fiber- 28grams. I’ve never had anything that has that much fiber. I recommended to my friends on facebook and 3 of them got these or the peach and loved them. Even my steppop who is pre diabetic who is bad liked them. THESE ARE NOT KETO FRIENDLY. I don’t know why anyone who is doing keto would think so with the amount of carbs that are in them, healthy or not. (They are healthy, but keto diet 101 says even limit the healthy ones). There are apps widely available to let you enter the data so you know they are. Nowhere on this page do I see them claim to be keto friendly and it seems people reviewing think somehow the company fooled them into thinking this. Why eat something first and risk bringing yourself out of Ketosis? I’m on keto now, of course decided that right after I got these and they are expensive, so will be giving most packs away to those who are not.
I love these! I have these 2-4 times a week. The fiber content and lack of sugar are great. There is no after taste or funky texture. They are costly for a snack, but for me it’s worth it.
I bought a bag of these in a retail store not expecting much. When I tried them I was pleasantly surprised and thought of supplementing these into my daily routine for fiber and also a healthier candy option. I think these taste better than Swedish Fish and are more like fruit snacks than candy. The only problem with these are the price and the quantity you receive. I'm sure it is a little more expensive to make these than normal candy so I understand the mark up but will enjoy when they add more to the bag or bring the price down. If I have extra cash I always pick some up but they are too expensive too buy every 12 days. Great product would recommend to anyone trying to cut back on sugar.
These are seriously so yummy, I cannot recommend enough! Good portion per bag ( about 8) about the length of my thumb and I’m a female with descent sized hands! My only nay say is that I saw online that they make your blood sugar spike if you are a diabetic (there are videos all over YouTube), I am not but my mother is, so she only eats 1/2. We have not tested it ourselves, but keep that in mind. Really strong flavor, stronger then sweetish fish, but I like it. Overall I would buy again.
They changed the recipe to this and it tastes nasty! The old mutuo al facts were 35 carbs 10 g potassium 28 g fiber The new 42 carbs 0 potassium 13 g fiber The first 3 ingredients on the old bag were prebiotic soluble fiber from tapioca, pectin, natural fruit flavor The new bag is no gmo soluble corn fiber, allulose, isomalto-oligosaccharides Gross tasting! Just gross- I opened the bag in my car , a friend of mine wanted to know what the “off” smell was.
