This is the perfect gift for a photographer, especially one who carries two cameras. The placement is perfect for quick access shooting but out of the way if you need to switch to the second camera. Material is pretty decent, but the safety line is a nice addition.

Best solution thus far
I’ve been looking for a hands-free solution, mainly for hiking and climbing, for some time. This is without doubt the best solution I have found. A little pricier, but stays put, out of the way, and from my first few uses, seems very durable and well made. If you’re planning on using it for longer adventures, know that it does put weight on one shoulder (obviously), which can lend to a little trap tightness. I generally carry a Nikon D7100 DSLR with a heavy ultra wide angle. Though the full harness is probably a better application, packability and breathability for warm weather were key traits that led me to the sling. Fits very easily under 30lb pack. I’ve hiked up to 15 miles with it, and again, expected muscle tightness from bearing the weight, but does exactly what it’s supposed to.

Exactly what I was looking for for such a long time!
Having your camera hanging, bouncing and slipping off your shoulder, making any hike with a heavy camera a real nuisance became a thing of the past with this gear. I was about to give up taking my camera with me for this hike in Peru when I found this and I couldn't be happier. And I am also glad it made me took my camera as I would have missed awesome shots of those condors, or these nazca lines that would have been barely visible with a cellphone shot. I wear this the entire 7 days trip in Peru, from downtown cusco to sacred valley, from the jungle of machu pichu up to the rainbow mountains at 16,000ft and this harness never failed me and has always been comfortable and quick to release! Highly recommended.

Comfortable and practical
Great product, hiked 15 miles with multiple lenses including a 600mm telephoto attached at times. I was comfortable the whole time. Definitely changed my mobility for the better.

If you hike, you need this!
Very happy with this product. I use it on a long hikes, and I don't have that neck pain like I would from a regular camera strap. Once adjusted you hardly know its on. I put an old broken camera on first to check out the security. I did everything I could to get it to come off and it did not. Its well made and comfortable. The back pocket is a bit too small for a phone, but it will hold cash, extra battery and sd cards just fine.

This really works!
I was skeptical at first, but I am now really impressed. I got really tired of using either a wrist strap or a neck strap with my heavy 2.4lb Sony RX10 IV. Both straps had their drawbacks. I wanted something that I didn't have to hold, but which didn't swing out in front of me when I bent over, and which distributed the weight better. This Cotton harness solves all of those issues. I used it on an 8 mile hike with a 1200 foot elevation gain, wearing a backpack as well. The even weight distribution meant I didn't get neck or back fatigue, and I quickly learned how to dismount/mount the camera from the base. I was really impressed with how comfortable the harness was. The added security strap is very smart and will give me peace of mind during an upcoming trip to Peru. It isn't too sturdy but it will be enough to slow any camera-grabber down. I highly recommend this product!

Just What I Needed
It is well made and very light. It allows you keep your hands free. When I am offroading in Colorado I keep my camera handy while driving and get those quick shots I want.

Really Well Made and Durable
We reviewed and researched many Camera Slings and Harnesses before deciding on the Skout. It is well made and fits comfortably. What we liked the most was the security it had while moving (hiking, walking, climbing). Not only is it secured, but when properly adjusted it does not swing or move around and it only takes a couple of seconds to "unlock it" and get it into position for a picture. Both of us (husband (6ft, 190 lbs) and wife 5ft 7in and 135 lbs) are capable of using this comfortable sling/harness after making sizing adjustments. It arrived, missing a small plastic strap keeper. However, a single call to the manufacturer and the part was on its way the next day. So, they have a quality product and excellent customer support. We are very pleased with our purchase.

Great Product
I use a cane to get around when we are out taking photo's. This product allows me to carry my camera with a large lens attached easily and safely I may add. Easy to fit to your size and you can jump out of the car and have this on in minutes.

Great option for short female
I am a short "curvy" woman, so a lot of the options for camera slings and harnesses don't really work for me, especially when I am using my long lens. I ordered this for a trip with a lot of hiking planned, hoping it would work to keep my camera at the ready, but save my arms the load. Anything at the hip would have my camera bouncing around my knees, and anything on a backpack strap would be very awkward. Tried the Skout Sling out today and it is perfect. I have a 16" torso, so I secured the harness about at mid-sternum. I can easily walk with my Nikon 200-500mm with hood attached, hands free. It is a little awkward to take out of the holder, but gets easier each time I do it, so I think that is just user adjustment. Camera is steady, secure, and comfortable hanging straight down, or turned slightly to one side. Harness is comfortable, even under a backpack. I hardly noticed it was there. The only downside is having to use a separate tool to detach the hub if I want to use a tripod. Going to try the Arca adapter to see if that helps. If so it will be a perfect solution!
