Works well and reasonable price

My golden retriever puppy was a water slob...dunked her head in bowl, gulped mouthfuls of water and allowed it to fly out of her mouth when she left the bowl. This takes care of all those issues. She still drools water a bit, but nothing like the mouthfuls in the past. I searched to find what I bowl would work best and I'm happy with my decision. This is easy to use AND reasonably priced. I agree a little larger version would be nice though.

Great bowl!

Our dog took to this bowl right away. He usually wouldn't drink the last half-inch of water in his last bowl, so because of that I wasn't sure he would use this bowl if he couldn't see the water (it can't be seen unless it is filled to the top). He really likes it! Perhaps I like it even better - toxin-free plastic is important to me, and I'm pretty sensitive to chemicals and other odors. This had no discernable smell at all when I unpackaged it. And no more puddles on the floor! I got so sick of stepping in those puddles and the water soaking through my socks! Gross! (Why do dogs walk away from their bowls with mouths full of water??) The bowl is pretty splashless as well as long as it isn't violently shaken. I think the trick to prevent any splashing is to stop short of a half-inch from the top when filling it. It is made from hard plastic, so there is the possibility that if it is dropped on a hard surface that it could crack. This really is a great bowl - I looked for lesser-priced ones, but this one ended up being very worth the cost and I would buy it again.

MUST HAVE, the best product I ever brought for a dog water bowl!!!! I have a huge german shepherd and a beligan malinois. Both made very mess while drinking the water from the bowl. The spill is all over on the floor and I had to mop everytime they drink water. I decided to research and until I found this product, HANDS DOWN!

Great water bowl for sloppy drinkers

Our lab puppy was making quite a mess with a regular water bowl. This one took about a week for her to adjust to it, at first she thought it was a toy, but she has totally gotten it down to drinking her water and not leaving puddles all over the floor. Works great and easy to clean, also holds a good amount of water.

Great Bowl For Over-Eager Drinkers

I recently started having an issue with my German Shepherd drinking his water too quickly and then throwing it back up. I decided to try a floater bowl in hopes that it would slow him down. We're a few weeks into having the new bowl and it seems to have done the trick. He hasn't puked up water since we switched. The bowl is dishwasher safe and easy to take apart for cleaning. You can keep the bowl together for refills. My dogs were a little confused at first, but quickly figured out how to use the bowl. It holds a good amount of water for my two large dogs, but I do have to refill it more often then their old bowl. I also have cats, but they don't seem to use the bowl much; I have a separate standard bowl that they seem to use more often. The bowl also seems to have helped with messy drinking, but that wasn't much of an issue before. I'm really happy with this purchase and the fact that it has slowed my dogs down!

Great Bowl for My Dog

It is a great bowl for my dog. It prevents the mess that my dog made. My dog likes to drip the water all over the floor. Now the problem is solved and no more clean up.

My dad's dog Zeke is a notoriously messy drinker. I dont even think he swallows his last gulp, just fills his mouth up and walks away leaving a trail of water behind him. When I found out my parents would be staying with us for a month, I needed a solution to protect my wood floors. I was intrigued by this bowl because I hoped it would cause him to drink slower and I was right! To train your dog that there is water in the bowl, take all other water sources away and then fill it so a little water sits above the paw shaped hole in the center. You can also press down lightly with your hand to show them there is water. Both Zeke and mu dog have adapted well to this and my floors are drier. There are still occasionally drops on the floor but no longer puddles , but I blame the dog not the bowl. The only thing I would change is the size, 2 labs drink a lot.

Cat proof for us!!

Husband decided on this bowl because our cat kept playing in our dogs bowl, getting water everywhere and getting the water and bowl dirty. We needed something that he couldn’t scoot around floor and play in. This bowl is great and our chihuahuas drink just fine! Have ordered a second bowl!

Clean and easy dog water bowl.

The bowl is clean with no excess plastic and easy to clean. Not as many crumbs get into the water. My girl dog loved it right from the start, it took my boy a few minutes to figure it out. This is the first dog water bowl that I have felt good about having in the house. There are much fewer drips from their mouths after drinking. I think I will order the stand to raise the bowl up off the floor because it sits quite low.

Truck Dogs & Cats will love this bowl

My husband and I are full-time team truck drivers with our two pets. We have a German Shepherd and a Cat and have struggled to find a water dish that did not make a mess by water sloshing everywhere. The German Shepherd is a very enthusiastic drinker and anything within 3 feet of the water dish gets wet. This bowl slows down her drinking and contains the mess and the best part is that the cat can also drink out of the bowl. The bowl does not slide around, is easy to see when it needs to be refilled, and is very easy to clean. We have tried other non slosh bowls in the truck but this one works the best.
