I had a freebie letter opener from some insurance company that I used for a few years. The tip was soft and it often failed to cut all the way through a letter and come out the other side. So far the first one of this four pack is working like a champ. The one thing that could make it better a magnet on each one so you can stick it to the fridge or computer tower so it's not just lying around. I took the magnet off my free one and glued it to one of these and it holds it fine.

Great Quality & Easy to Use Despite Being Small

I'm used to larger envelope openers and was hesitant to give this one a try, but I'm so glad I did. It's very easy to use, glides very smoothly, and it appears it will stay sharp for a very long time because the blade is out of this world. And it's safe because your finger(s) won't accidentally touch the blade if used properly. This is a win for me.

Exactly what I was looking for

I'd been using a standard letter opener and became frustrated because it mangled the envelopes. I was hesitant to buy the envelope slitter because the picture made it appear small. However, when it arrived I was pleasantly surprised to discover it was larger than expected. The size is perfect. Plus it cuts through envelopes like butter. With a package of 4, this should last years.

Works easier than I thought

This is another item that I have been wanting and intending to get for many years. And thanks to the easy search and purchase functions of Amazon.com, I now have. Works well, easier than I expected. So tired of my hamhanded attempts to open letters without tearing the envelope apart, particularly on those items that are of sentimental value to me. This device does the trick, quickly and easily. Should have looked it up and bought some years and years ago. Gave two to my girlfriend and kept the other two.

Works Great!

I purchased these after using one (I have no idea what brand) for many years. It was a free promo one from some company with their advertising on it. It finally broke, and I couldn't stand not having one to use. Quick amazon search, great reviews, I didn't really need four but now I can share them with friends! :) These work so much nicer than my incredibly old (I suppose dull bladed) one. I handed it to my husband to use so he could see the difference between old and new. After opening the first letter with it he asked for the rest of the mail so he could keep using it. I guess we're easily amused. Five star product!

Perfect for the job

I had a similar opener for years and finally replaced it when the blade got too dull. My first purchase was junk. This opener by Omecore is first class. The only thing that would make it better for me is a magnet. I added my own to keep it handy.

Best Letter Opener!!

I've tried several different letter openers of this style, and this one is the best so far!! They all look pretty much the same and you'd expect them to work the same...but, they don't. The angle on the blade on this one is just a tiny bit different and cuts through the envelope like butter!! Others seem to fight to cut through. This blade may be a little sharper than the other?? I sometimes use this style opener to cut wrapping paper...this opener cuts through the paper cleanly, the others I've used work poorly and tear the paper. Also, this opener has a "guard" in the blade area (the others don't) so you don't have a chance to accidentally cut yourself. Very pleased and recommend this opener!!

Never thought I could love a letter opener so much!!

These letter openers are amazing! They slice thru the envelope like butter - really like the Victorinox knives I just bought! I have arthritis in my fingers and wrists and this makes it so much better when opening mail! I don’t leave many reviews, only when I’m REALLY impressed. Or not. Really impressed here!

Great Opener

This is a great opener. envelope does not bunch up like the one i have been using. it gives a sharp and smooth cut.

Nice product, good clean cuts.

Thinking this product might be a bit gimmicky I was hesitant to purchase these cutters at first. I needn't have worried. Yes, physically they are a little thin which would normally be a challenge for my aging fingers. But this product is well designed and handles nicely with good (safe) functionality. (Unlike some other brands I've researched, I don't believe you could inadvertently get your fingers into the cutter with this product). These guys literally destroy envelopes with very little effort on your part. I should have bought something like this a long time ago. In the unlikely event that I loose or damage four of these, I would definitely buy this product again.
