I have been reluctant to try any beard specific shampoo and conditioner, after a friend had an allergic reaction to some. After starting to use heat on my beard, I decided that a dragons breath upon my whiskers was starting to damage my poor face pubes. Adding these two products in conjunction with my argon oil heat shield, and beard balm, i can run my hands through my beard and have the confidence of what i would assume Zeus himself had. The softness of my beard went from a 2 to a 9! All the ladies come running up to me asking to sit on my face. I cant complain.

It's actually good stuff!

I ordered this at a discounted price with no promise of a review and as a coarse beard having guy I was ready to leave a mediocre review in a heartbeat. Shipping was quick! My first impressions were that it's beautiful packaging, well designed , printed, and bottled. Opening it I was greeted with a wonderful sandalwood scent, I was initially concerned with it being too overwhelming sitting right under my nose but more on that later. Using the shampoo I thought that it was just a different scented body wash, nothing strikes me as special about the shampoo honestly (it might have some special properties but it didn't seem too different from the handmade local soaps that I typically use). The conditioner has a very silky feel, I'm not a chemist and I haven't researched all the ingredients but... THIS STUFF WORKS!! (sorry for yelling!) I have a VERY coarse and difficult to tame beard that I have fought for the past few years and I thought I had found my go to routine (working the best thus far), an in shower conditioner, and a after shower conditioner and balm to help style it. I tried Viking Revolution's set for a week straight without using anything else, just their product and found that my beard was soft and generally easily styled (I have a weird cow-lick curl at my sideburns that was still wild). Oh yeah, that scent? It's pretty nice to get an occasional whiff of sandalwood, not too strong, I've gotten compliments on it as well! TL,DR: give it a try!

I’ve fallen in love with the Viking Revolution brand

Bought this for my man, so I am face to face with the results of this product daily. Let me tell you, it’s not easy to find natural products that actually work. I loved this from the first time I smelt it but even more after he started using it. It gives his beard a really healthy shine and makes it easier to tame. He loves using it too! We love it so much I went back and bought the Viking revolution beard balm (another must have for facial hair). We will be regular customers of Viking Revolution. I just want to say that after a year we are still loyal Viking Revolution customers!

My first beard wash and conditioner

I've used about 6 different beard oils and balms over the last couple of years and just recently got Viking revolution scentless oil and citrus balm... and I can't say enough about it! After my positive experience with that I decided to give thier wash and conditioner a try. I've been using it now for about 3 weeks and so far so good. I've been using Monat Black mens shampoo/conditioner on my beard for a while because it's supposed to be pretty good for you and I love the smell and how it makes my hair and beard feel. In my opinion/experience... The Viking revolution sandalwood wash and conditioner is giving me excellent results. It doesn't leave my beard super soft or anything but it is helping to keep it clean and since I'm using oil and balm it seems to be a perfect combination. I gave it 5 stars because I am having great results so far. I am not, however, a huge fan of the sandalwood scent. It's not that it's bad by any means, just not a personal favorite scent of mine. On the scent topic, though, it's a light scent and does not last real long. Once I put on the citrus balm I can't even smell the sandalwood. All in all a great product so far for me.

Dry skin and psoriasis LIFE SAVER. SMELLS SOOOOO GOOD.

Holy crap where do I start, okay. So I have psoriasis, and it gives me big flakes of dandruff in my beard. To the point where it was embarrassing me. So I started looking for something. I’ve tried creams specifically for psoriasis and nothing worked for my dry skin. I don’t care if this is Chinese and they have different regulations on stuff. IF IT WORKS, IT WORKS. And I’ve been trying to find ANYTHING to help my problem. This stuff is the real deal. It smells great, if you’re looking for the sandalwood scent, you get more of that in the conditioner, but the shampoo/wash smells amazing too just not as strong. It IMMEDIATELY makes your beard feel softer and smoother. I’ve only used it twice and probably see 90% LESS dandruff. If anything changes I’ll be sure to update. A dime size amount will lather up nicely and be plenty for your whole beard. And holy crap did I say this smells good? On a scale from 1-100 I say this stuff is a 95. I don’t even know where they could improve it unless it was all natural. But this stuff, whoa. I’ve struggled with dry skin my whole life. This stuff is the real deal. Buy it. You will be happy you did. But I’ve tried dandruff shampoo and even that didn’t help. This is absolutely noticeably different. Edit: still working weeks later and I have no more beard dandruff. Kinda blown away. Must use daily and you will ALMOST eliminate the problem, not too harsh on skin for daily use.

Great stuff!

This stuff is fantastic. I was dealing with major beard itch. After one use, all the dead skin under my beard that was causing the itch, came off! I didn’t even know it was there! I don’t like oils or beard creams or even most washes because they leave my beard greasy. I like a course beard. I’m a man, not a smooth faced baby. This stuff has relieved the itch, didn’t make my beard greasy and makes my beard look natural. It has a very subtle classic smell. I personally wish it smelt a little stronger, but I like strong scents. The average person would probably like how subtle it is. All and all I highly recommend!

Issa game changer

I bought this along with their kit (oil, balm, comb, brush) and as someone with a coarse, scraggly beard, this stuff changed my life. It smells great, feels great, and my beard has NEVER been this touchable and healthy. I've even noticed more even, full growth in the month I've been using it (not to say it'll make your beard grow, this is just my personal experience now that mine is so well groomed). I've used a few different beard specific products (shampoo, conditioner, oil, etc) and viking revolution is honestly the only brand I've seen obvious improvement in the health of my face and hair. I have a pretty short/normal length beard, and I got the 5oz bottles a month ago, and I've only gone through a little over a quarter of both bottles! Use them both every other day, if not every day. It goes a long way!

Smells like baby powder, not sandalwood. But it works.

I never thought I was going to be "that guy" who had special grooming products but here I am. Now I have special shaving supplies, and beard care stuff galore. I have been happy with the quality of Viking Revolutions products thus far and have really liked my sandalwood beard oil and pre-shave oils. I do not have a long beard (maybe 1" long) and keep it pretty tight to my face most of the time. Around October to February, my skin really dries out and my beard starts to flake and leave white all over my shirt below my chin. And no matter how hard I fight it, I cant get it under control. So I decided to give this stuff a shot and it has worked quite well! I only use about a dime-sized amount when washing and it seems to be the right amount for me. After about 1 week of daily use, my beard has nearly stopped being dry and flakey!!! I cant say with absolute certainty, but I am pretty sure my beard is a little softer and has less frizz / stray whiskers poking out in weird directions. I think the price-point is reasonable compared to other manufacturers and overall I am happy with the performance of the product. I do however have a couple frustrations with the product - 1) it smells like baby powder. Whomever said this smells like sandalwood is crazy or has never smelled sandalwood before. It is a fresh scent, but not very manly. 2) I know this is just me being a flag wielding 'Merican, but I don't like that the stuff is made in China for a lot of reasons, but primarily because I don't think their quality control is the best and I always worry about bad chemicals being mixed in. Would I recommend this product? Yes. But with the understanding that the scent is completely wrong.

Although my initial review is for the Sandalwood Beard Wash and Conditioner, I will include a review for all of the other items I chose for my son. First of all, the Sandalwood Beard Wash and Conditioner smells AMAZING and I know from my son's feedback the Peppermint Wash/Conditioner I included in his gifts, left his his scruff/beard soft and his skin feeling great. (He's in the in-between of thick scruff, almost full beard stage). Now he has two options for wash and conditioning. Among the other gifts I bought were the Full Beard Kit, a beautiful kit in a metal box to keep things organized. Included in the kit : a double sided wood beard comb, a Boar hair beard brush, surgical grade scissors, unscented beard oil and beard balm and a handy trim guide. I also included the Beard Oil gift set of Sandalwood, Clary Sage and Pine & Cedar oils, along with Beard Balm in the Bay Rum scent - and truthfully, they all smell wonderful ! Last but not least, I added in the matte Viking Revolution pomade for his hair. Adding in an order this week for the Viking Revolution Charcoal Face Wash and the rest is up to him. Another big bonus with Viking Revolution is their customer service. Quick response and assistance with my questions on ordering and beyond. All in all, GREAT products and GREAT service.

Works great even with sensitive skin

I bought this after reading the reviews, I've tried several other beard wash brands and beard oils before but I always end up with a very itchy rash. This stuff smells good and my skin has no negative reactions to it at all, the conditioner especially doesn't have the greasy feeling some of the other ones I've tried had and the scent isn't overwhelming at all. After only a few days of use I can already feel my beard getting softer and easier to control, normally I have to trim every other day to keep random hairs for sticking straight out but now that its getting softer I can actually comb it down.
