Great Heavy-Duty Backdrop Stand - Just what I was looking for!

I read through a ton of reviews, looking for the right backdrop stand, specifically looking at the negative reviews, to see what the potential flaws were. So many had comments of being unstable/wobbly, bowing in the middle at full length, and not able to hold anything but a paper background (despite claims of being able to hold 20-30 pounds). There were not a lot of reviews on this, but I really liked the availability of their customer service, the detailed product description, which included the pipe diameters, load amount (a lot I looked at did not specify one or both of these), as well as the price. There are so many options out there, and on the surface, this one seemed to be the winner, hands-down, so I decided to give this one a shot. I received it, and was immediately impressed with the quality/thickness of the pipes on this stand. Way better than the multiple different stands I have for my photography lights. I put it together immediately. It's really easy - no instructions necessary. I added a muslin backdrop I just got, just to test it out (see pics & excuse the wrinkles, as I had just taken it out of the package). It holds the muslin backdrop like it's nothing, is quite stable, and I feel confident that it could hold a heavy canvas one with no issue. I added a couple pictures to try to show the difference in stand diameters between the backdrop and my light stand. It's quite substantial - makes me wish I had better light stands! For anyone looking for an affordable, heavy-duty backdrop stand, this is the one to get!

Great stand! Easy setup, modability, and portability!

Needed a stand that could hold up green screens for a video productions course. This fit the bill perfectly! My biggest worries were flimsiness, but looking at other reviews it seemed to be a good bet. After setting up, I had no issues at all with it being loose or unstable. I still will put some sandbags on the feet since I don't trust students not to somehow vault into it, but with proper use it held the muslin green screen just fine! I only had a 6x9ft one to setup (as pictured) but have ordered a 10x20ft and will test it out soon. I do expect it to work just as well. You can also adjust the number of bars in the top (width) to fit whatever canvas you are attaching. All the parts can be easily disassembled and placed into a packing bag. Very happy with how easy it should be to setup and pack up!

I like the backdrop stand just didn’t agree with the 15 mile hour winds outside. Had to tie it using my fishing line to keep in place. Overall it worked out Thanks.

Been wanting a stand for a while and for the price it's great, it also comes with a bag to put the stand in! Very nice! This will be the first time I'm using it. It's a lot lighter than I thought it would be but it is durable.

you dont have to spend a lot of money

this just made my freelance photography business way more professional. i can now have clients come over if theyre looking for headshots or just more professional pictures with a solid background as i am now able to pin up any background with ease, no more hooking it to bookshelfs or taping it to a wall. was relatively easy to put together.

Easy assembly, pretty sturdy, easy to store &great for the price

Wow! This is so easy and quick to assemble! I had it together in minutes. I think it should hold the backdrop just fine. I love how it fits into one small storage bag (included) and the clips are really easy and the perfect size! I'm using it for a Party Pic/Selfie Station backdrop so I think it will be perfect!

Sturdy for the use it's intended for

So let's be clear, this is not a 50lb heavy duty set. This is (I think) intentionally made as a light, budget and portable solution. It's difficult (and unrealistic) to try to find one that doesn't cost much, is tough like Valyrian steel and is light as a feature. This is the second brand I'm trying as the other brand I tried had a fault in it. This one has worked very well for my during my tests. Quick to setup and breakdown. As you can see it holds up my light neewer backdrop (10x12) without any dip in the middle. My purpose for this is as a carry around set I can take on location to do quick set ups as needed for portraits. This hits the spot for my use.

Excellent value!

I was surprised how big this goes to especially for the price and small carry bag it came with. I do wish for the first assembly some instructions came with it, but I figured it out. I love the carry bag and how organized it is. Lightweight yet sturdy and the clips it came with are super strong!

Lightweight, sturdy and large

This backdrop stand is great. I am using it to take pictures of blankets for my business. The blanket pictured is 54”x70”. There are 2 extensions for width that I didn’t use and the height isn’t at full extension either and it fits my blanket perfectly. With extensions, the width of the stand doubles. The clips are very sturdy and hold the blanket’s weight easily (not a light blanket pictured). When transporting it or not using it, it collapses easily and fits into the travel bag that was included. It’s also very light to carry.
