Best Phone for $100!
Having broke my previous Blu phone, I decided to take my chances with his cheap Blu here. And wow what a surprise it was! The phone not only looks modern and clean, it has everything a stock android experience can offer. Pros: Vibrant and large display (surprised it's only 720p) All bloatware can be deleted with ease Stock Oreo 8.1, with little to no trace of Blu Ui (other than the launcher) Google news feed available at the home screen a smooth experience overall Ram management is decent ~9 GB of storage available from the start Adoptable Storage from SD Card Fingerprint lock (not the smoothest but definitely acceptable) Face Unlock (haven't tried it but a good feature overall) Selfie Flash (not many phones have this) Dual Cameras for Portrait mode Cons phone is a bit laggy at times Only 7 steps of volume control (why!?) Not confirmed for Android Pie update Notch can be annoying at times (can be hidden) Battery life is subpar (ultra battery saving mode available) Camera is definitely nothing to write home about (it's pretty bad) If you can pass up these cons, this is definitely a good starter phone and I'll never regret purchasing from Blu.

Terific phone, Go BLU!
The phone is for husband. He says it works great. However, the recommended case to purchase with that phone is not configured correctly. I don't have access to the phone right now, but will double check it when he returns.

Blu Cellphones are excellent
I have already purchased 4 blue cellphone in a year, because I accidently break them (anger issues), and they have been all great. Excellent cellphone, I really recommend them. I hope the last one bought can last a little longer with me, sense I'm trying to don't play baseball with it.

REALLY GREAT PHONE
This is my third Blu and I have loved every single one. Bought prior models also for my wife, son and daughter. This model has a beautiful screen, really fast and is really elegant. I have never understood why some folks want to pay hundreds more for the same functionality. Blu is an exceptional value.

A well designed device!
I would first say be patient setting up a new phone. I switched over from an iphone SE. Every phone OS is a little different, of course, and a lot different than an iphone here. This BLU R2 Plus has a really crisp and bright display. It is very responsive and has a nice touch screen. I also would say that I use a phone as a phone mostly and for browsing the web, and not for music, except for the occasional bluetooth connection to a stereo which works great here by the way also. The storage is not a problem here with 16 GB because I don't load a lot of music or pictures on the phone. I'm sure it would be enough for some pictures and music though. It initially took a while to set up all the app permissions to be used with the cellular data service, which most of them I turned off except for few so it doesn't use all my cellular data. That worked well. The choice on this phone is to have the app data to be turn off "in the background" when using cell phone data. This means basically that the data doesn't run "in the background" for certain apps that you switch off. This works well because it won't access all my email with cellular data until I'm connected to wifi again. It works a little different if you are using any other apps for any other kind of phone service because it is a kind of android phone. I was able, and the phone actually asked to integrate an app over the stock phone app and same for the messaging. So anyway, I could "always use" my phone app instead of the stock phone app. That worked really well. Apps such as google hangouts will use the "google dialer" app as well for that kind of integration. It was different for me at first, but then I found it out it worked just as well for a phone dialer, switching from an iphone. Speaking into the phone works just great and same on the hearing side for listening to people talk. It is light weight, the 2 GB RAM is totally sufficient, the processor is quad core, and I used the silicon case that came with the phone which also looks nice and works well. What else would i compare it to? Maybe to some people, but not me, it would be like a high quality chromebook OS that fits with a phone design. To me it's probably like a motorola G6 or G7, but probably not quite as high of quality. It's uses all google apps and also you can uninstall some of the stock apps, so not much "bloatware" is all and junk you can't uninstall. They did a nice job with the OS. It's all google apps mostly. The speakers were a little "tinny" for videos and louder music, but i don't really care because I'm using it as a phone mostly with a little bit of web browsing, videos, email, etc. It's not a mp3 player to me at all. Overall, the BLU R2 Plus is really efficient, it is a high quality OS, and solidly made. In my opinion, it has a style to it and the style works great. It's kind of like how BLU packaged the product on the outside of the box, and it works well is all. It kind of symbolizes energy movement or something! ha ha i know but the style is real! So yeh I'm impressed with it for the price!

Great phone for the price
I love this phone. I dont play graphically demanding games like Pubg, and despite what people are saying it runs the majority of games people would play with ease, like candy crush, crossy road, etc, Ive downloaded a bunch of newer games too and they run fine. The screen is AMAZING. I came off a phone with a 1080 screen, and this one is honestly better in my opinion, just from the colors and brightness, much more than making up for the lower resolution. The memory isnt that great, but its not unusable, you can still easily run 2-3 apps at once, use split screen, etc. It might not be as lightning quick as an expensive phone, but I dont mind waiting an extra few seconds to open an app. The battery isnt huge like some other blu phones, but its right on par with most flagship models, 3000mah is what the samsungs have been around for years. And the dedicated battery saver button is awesome, in B&W mode it can last forever.

Perfect
For this to be an $100 Android and not iPhone, it's perfect. I'm impressed. I didn't want to make my review until the day I wanted to test it out. I went to meek mill concert in Detroit last night and omg, look at this quality... Girl yeah you better get this phone. Stop sleeping on cheap stuff because this phone is living proof that the quality is better than I price I paid. I'm so thankful

The Vivo One Plus is a variant of the R2 Plus 2019
Like a lot of people here, I was confused as to exactly which phone I just bought. The reply from Blu customer service is my headline above. So, it is the correct phone, but their naming conventions are confusing. Anyhow, I've only used the phone for 4 days so far, but I'm quite impressed so far. I've owned a few other Blu phones, at different price points, and I'll probably keep buying them. I was concerned about the 1 star reviews I saw before this purchase, but nothing that I read has proven to be true so far. The cameras aren't perfect, but they're really not too bad, either. If you're expecting to get a high-end phone for $100, you'll be disappointed, but otherwise this seems to be a fine phone. I've attached an outdoor photo from a mostly cloudy day, just to show that the rear camera isn't terrible, albeit not perfect.
