Making life easier

Using this smart plug definitely makes life easier, I successfully set this up with the Smart Life app on my android phone. I had this set up to turn on my lights before I got home from work and my house wasnt dark when i entered. After setting the timers to turn on and shut off I dont have to worry or mess with anything else. This plug is very sturdy and heavy duty. I'm very pleased with this smart plug.

Durable Smart Outlet for Outdoor Use

If you have an Echo dot like me, you probably want to take advantage of all of its features. As soon as I found out that I can turn off my lamps (or anything that can be plugged into a socket), I wanted to find a smart plug as soon as I could. This smart plug does its job and is easy to connect. There are instructions provided, so you will be guided on how to connect to Alexa. Using this smart plug definitely makes life easier, as I can simply tell Alexa to turn off my lights. You do not have to worry about durability; this socket has outlet covers to protect it from water and the plug itself is very sturdy and heavy duty. I'd say that this plug is definitely built to last outdoors as it is able to face any weather conditions.

Perfect for Christmas Lights

I think it took about 5 minutes from the time I opened the package to the time I had this set up outside with my Christmas lights on it. I already had the Smart Life app, and IFTTT, so I was able to add it very easily, and set up a "timer" to turn them on every day at sunset. It's been a few weeks now, and they've not once had any issues! (Unlike a few of my other "smart" plugs/lights.) They actually show up in the app as 3 different devices: each of the two plugs, and a master switch for them both. I'm looking forward to getting a lot of use out of this over the years, and couldn't be happier with it!

Great item

works good! Install is a bit of a pain but here is what you do for google home users. 1. Download the app 2. Make an account and then set up a new multi outlet device 3. Hold down the power button till the red circle has a blinking blue light 4. Make sure your phone is connected to 2.4 ghz wifi not 5ghz 5. Set it up and then you are good! To get it controlled by google home. Go to your Google home app (called home) and then hit add a new existing device. search up smart home and click it. Log into your account you made in the account creation step (step 2) and then you are good to go. I was able to control the whole strip, each outlet, and the USB ports. It's pretty awesome, I can't attest to the usability of Amazon Echo usage. P.S. if you see a white plastic thing in your outlet, that is a safety/dust cover. Just pretty your plug and wiggle a little bit, it will go

Great Outdoor Smart Plug. Fast, easy set up!

I have numerous indoor spart plugs and smart lights. This year I wanted a smart plug for outside Christmas lights. Since I had recently purchased Smart Life plugs for the indoors, I wanted to get this plug. The plug is solid and well made. The outlets have a protective cover for when the outlets aren’t in use. The cord is just long enough, especially for an outdoor outlet with a hinged door like mine. Set up is easy through the Smart Life app. Through the app, you can activate the whole plug or either of the outlets, through the app, through Alexa or through the settings in the app (countdown or timer). I highly recommend this outdoor plug!

Works like a charm

I'm not actually using this outside, I'm using it in the kitchen. I'm using it to control my espresso machine, so I needed a plug that was rated for 1800+ Watts. It is incredibly cool. It is very easy to set up; just make sure that you have your Wifi password handy. The scheduling feature is obviously great. It is wonderful to wake up and have the machine already warmed up. It's also great to be able to start it remotely--I can say "OK Google, turn on the espresso machine" and it will be warmed up by the time I get home.

Works great!

It was easy to set up and works perfectly with Alexa. It rained the night that I installed it so I can confirm it works as advertised in inclement weather. Note that using the Smart Life app, you can control the two outlets individually from your phone or tablet. But with Alexa you can only turn on/off both at once (i.e. all on or all off). That's not a problem for me, but thought I'd share this info in case you are expecting to control individual outlets with Alexa.

Very nice outdoor smart plug with cafe lights

I bought a Vavofo 48ft cafe lights form the seller, it works great! My family love it soooo much! It works with many different colors. Then I think I need a outdoor waterproof smart plug for my lights bright in time. I bought the smart plug here. It is prefect with my cafe lights! Easy with WIFI and can open or close by my Iphone. I also connect it with my Alexa, it can works! Love it so much. Show you the beautiful lights in pictures which is my house’s Christmas.

Works Great

After overcoming some initial anxiety with the instructions, which implied the need for downloading multiple apps and creating and registering multiple accounts, and emails, and linking everything together, etc - I successfully set this up with the Smart Life app on my android phone. I am using this to control landscape/water feature lighting at my home, and is much better and easier to use than the old school timer that was impossible to program. I have this outdoors and there have been no issues despite record below-zero cold this winter in the midwest.

Heavy duty Wi-Fi controlled powerstrip

I bought this unit to control my outdoor fountain, however, it is too early for that. Now, I have used it to run an electric heater in the basement. The timer control is used to just run for 3 hours while exercising. Sure, we could use an ordinary timer, but we have numerous power outages here and regular timers would be thrown off schedule when power is restored. That won't happen with this unit. Once power is restored, the correct schedule will be followed.
