Nice clarinet

This is a nice clarinet. It came very well protected. Each piece was wrapped in tissue paper and then covered in plastic bags. A reed was already placed in the mouthpiece. It plays nicely and has a pretty good sound. I think it is a very good value for the price. I don't really know why it has two of the same part. (The piece under the mouthpiece.) Maybe they are slightly different, I don't know. Also it came with these black patches that look like press on fingernails. I don't know what those are for either. But everything you need is included plus these other things that I don't use.

Awesome Beginner Axe!

The Eastar ECL-300 Bb Clarinet is a very solid choice for beginners to intermediate players. It is definitely an instrument to upgrade from but a very good instrument nonetheless. There is a faux woodgrain finish throughout the body which is a nice aesthetic, the action of the keys is low, and the pinky keys are close together for smaller hands. Overall tone is good buts bright and lacks warmth. It has a pronounced midrange so it’s easy to hear in a mix but will be hard to control for a more advanced player. Fit and finish is good but mine came with a slightly damaged cork. For now it is fine but with wear and tear and enough assembling, the cork is bound to fall off. Overall this is a great clarinet for beginners and intermediate players. At $109 for a complete kit, you cannot go wrong with its build quality. Save on long term rental costs and finance charges and buy this instrument.

Better than I expected

I wanted a simple, beginner's clarinet, but this is better than I hoped. It was easy to put together, came with everything I needed to get started, and produces a very clear sound. it has more weigh than I thought it would be, which is good because it handles better, stays in place as I move and search for the notes. It would be fine for beginners, but I expect to use it for a long time if I can get any skill.

A nicely made clarinet

I was really pleasantly surprised that the kit included everything one would need to jump right into learning clarinet, and the fine details really stood out -- the case itself is durable and he interior lined softly so as to protect the instrument. Easy to assemble and disassemble, it's also really beautifully made, with very clean lines, and offers a good sound at a price that won't break the bank.

Seems well built and sounds good

I purchased this for my granddaughter ( she was playing mine that was over 50 years old, and it got broke) It was well packaged and seems well built. I unpacked it and played it before I gave it to her. Sounds fine. She has been playing it for several days and says it is doing great. She said the mouthpiece is good, she likes the stand that came with it, when I unpacked it, I used the cork grease and she says it is no problem putting it together. Very pleased with the purchase so far, no complaints.

We like this clarinet and the seller

It's very good beginner's/student's instrument. Unlike some other's, the instrument feels like an actual instrument (not a toy), it makes decent sound (if one's not expecting a thousand dollar sound), and the body seems well enough to be handled by a 9yr old boy. The seller's customer service is also excellent. I sent an email to ask the seller for extra reeds which were not included in original package but mentioned in description, and their reply was fast and personal. Every accessories in this set has been used at least once and they are all in nice quality.

Great price for entry level clarinet.

Haven't played in 45 years or so but this clarinet is perfect for that to restart..

Awesome sound 💖

I bought 2 different clarients..this one and the blue one that is available with Amazon. When I open the cases they look identical, but sound totally different. This clarinet is true to sound. It is clear and the Ebonite material is beautiful. Because of the total difference in this instrument and the blue one I had to replace the blue one with another one of these. The Eastar brand Black Ebonite Bb Clarinet is top notch. Great for band students.
