Great quality mount, with some very nice features

While mounting this product to my dashboard on top of the enclosed adhesive pad, I noticed it seemed a bit loose, rocking slightly back and forth. Some folks (like me) may not notice in the instructions, but be aware there's a small black lever at the rear of the mount that must be pressed down for the suction cup to adhere fully to the dashboard pad. After doing that, this thing is solid as a rock. A nice additional feature is that it can also be attached to my windshield, using only the suction cup. This comes in handy if you want to move it temporarily, for example when someone in the passenger seat needs to use your phone for an extended period. The amount of travel in the tilt/swivel mechanism is generous and very tight, ensuring it stays where you've set it. To take full advantage of the adjustment range, I'd recommend installing it in a position where the swivel point is as close to its middle as possible, while still providing a comfortable view of the phone. Rather than ding up my phone by sticking adhesive plates to it, I simply applied the smaller of the two plates provided to the rear of its case. It seemed to me that direct contact of the mount to the plate would provide the strongest holding power, and indeed it does. I chose not to vertically center the plate, to avoid interfering with wireless charging and rear controls. Even though it's near the bottom of the case, everything still remains in place when turned to the landscape position. There seems to be some discussion about whether or not magnetic mounts affect GPS or even telephone operation itself, which like most people are the two main apps I use while driving. Neither is true in my experience, everything functions perfectly. I guess there's a reason why The Wirecutter rates it so high.

It's really convenient once everything is installed. But you need to make sure that the player has enough surface area to stick to. My case had that issue so I superglued it. Once it was properly glued, everything was great. The magnet is strong enough for a bumpy drive without falling off but still weak enough to pull your phone off the mount with enough ease (which is a good thing). I wouldn't mess with mounts that clamp on your phone anymore, especially if you use a case over your phone anyway.

I’ve had a couple different phone mounts before, and they didn’t work out. This product is securely mounted to the dash and magnetic quick connect for the phone is strong as well. So far, I’m loving it!

Is perfect for car that have a front screen!! Is really helpful and hold perfect my iPhone.

The suction and magnets strength on this thing is amazing, certainly enough to securely hold even the largest phones. I prefer the practicality and ease of use of magnetic mounts and this one seems like one of the best. If I were to nitpick I'd say I would prefer a bit more adjustability on the ball joint but either way it's an amazing mount.

I've been using the iOttie iTap 2 mount in my Honda Fit for a few weeks now. I drive a lot for work so it is important that I have a useable and convenient dash mount. So far everything is working out. The magnet is pretty strong and it clicks on/off effortlessly.

Best one out of all the adhesive ones

I bought the older version that was complete garbage. But this one works on literally all dashboards I wasn't fond of the pad it came with just use the suction cup it works on all surface. And re-usable when washed.
