A really well built car shovel
Product is exceptionally well built. My only small complaint is that the collapsed handle doesn't really "lock" into the shovel for stowing.

Heavy Shovel For Heavy, Wet Snow/Ice
I use this shovel to clear my small deck. I use a pushing motion...not the scoop and toss method. It does a fabulous job on a flat surface when I need to clear heavy, wet snow Seriously, this shovel is a heavyweight.

Keep One in My Truck at All Times
Until you use a DMOS shovel, you don't realize how inferior the car shovels that you had are. Here in the mountains, a quality, reliable, sturdy shovel like this is indispensable. Don't leave home without it.

Sturdier than alpha 1
Seems sturdy, haven’t had snow yet but it is much sturdier than the alpha 1 which has wearing teach after a season of use shoveling the driveway.

Excellent compact snow shovel
Love this product. It meets the needs I was looking for. Yes its somewhat pricey for a snow shovel. But this isn't your average snow shovel. Its made of solid steel materials and folds up to fit in the back of your vehicle for use in any situation. I highly recommend the product if your looking for a compact alternative for your snow shoveling needs.

Worth it!
Strong and durable. Love the teeth for breaking up that bottom layer of semi frozen snow. Only used a couple times, but feels like it will last a long time

Best all-around portable shovel on the market!!!
I have had the original alpha and now the alpha 2. My original alpha was used had for three years as my primary carry shovel for commercial plowing. The retracting lightweight shovel is the best permanent truck or car accessory whether you're hiking, camping, snow plowing or just want to be prepared. The teeth are perfect for getting through the slush and ice to make a clean pass every single time. It's the only shovel I use on sidewalks to make sure there is no slippery ice left behind. I recommend the alpha two as it is thicker and more durable aluminum that will last longer and be more apt to surviving a hard use. Fantastic customer service with a market leading shovel, what else could you ask for??

Hard to believe they could improve on the original, but they did!
To be honest, I was a little concerned when I saw that part of the redesign of the blades included removing the holes from the bottom of the blade. We get a lot of heavy, wet, slushy snow in New England, and the original blade design, whether intentional or not, facilitated the draining of some of the water from each shovelful, thus making each shovelful lighter. I have had the opportunity to use the new blades on at least one 8-10 inch snow storm, and I am very happy to report that not only were the new blades substantially more rugged, they performed better. I have also used this shovel while off-roading in my Jeep, and it has come to the rescue several times. It's compact design, and ruggedness make it the perfect shovel to keep in the Jeep at all times. Even though some people may think that a $20 shovel is just as good, people like me, that are willing to pay for quality, have been rewarded with a great product. Thank you again.

Well-Built Snow Shovel!
Reason for Purchasing: I purchased this prior to a trip that had snow in the forecast (and it did snow, over a foot)...and I wanted a shovel that would be easy to pack (for this trip and for future bikepacking/camping trips). Pros: -well-built and designed -functioned as advertised/described...easy to put together/breakdown -size once broke down was easy to pack and transport -teeth on the shovel did a very good job of breaking up ice Cons: -None
