Works great for my purpose

I use these to anchor the legs of a BBQ awning to my concrete patio in a some what permanent installation. I did not want to drill holes in the concrete to anchor the awning legs. I filled them with water and that work fine, I'm thinking they will probably crack if they freeze in the Winter. I will probably have to change out the water with sand. I know people are complaining about these leaking if they're filled with water and carried in a car horizontally. Im not sure the lid is meant to seal that well.

Love that they can be emptied to transport.

Lightweight to carry. Easy to fill. I’m using them around water so it is easy for me to fill and empty. If you weren’t around water then they would be large and heavy to drag around. They held down my canopy on strong wind

Holds the tent in place!

I love them as my tent does not move in the wind. I used sand in them and they weigh about 60 lbs each! Builds muscles too! (No extra charge for that!) I just wish they were still available as many other vendors have asked me where I got them and when they came to Amazon they found they were no longer available. Apparently, I got the last four.

Filled them with concrete. The result?

From the Eurmax website... Weight 22 LBS Each Filled With Water Weight 31 LBS Each Filled With Sand One reviewer reported 32 lbs when filled with gravel. Our farmers' market requires 35 lbs per leg, so I filled the weights to the brim with Quikrete concrete mix and slowly added water. The result: 51.9 lbs When the breezes blow, we're one of the few not white-knuckling our tent. And if/when the plastic unit or the lid splits (as reported in other reviews), we won't have a huge mess on our hands. It's a good product and I would purchase again. The downsides? Well, they weigh nearly 52 pounds! For many, this is way too heavy to lift/move and the interlocking canopy weights would make a better choice.

I AM DELIGHTED WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I've never had a company so willing to fix an issue before. THANK YOU. Would recommend. And will keep a close eye on them. I loved the way they fit the legs of tents and will repurchase in the future when I need new weights. *Old review.*Do not like these weights at all! Filled with water they leak all over the truck by the time I get to the market (10mins away) filled with rock/sand I can't carry them. If I fill the half way they won't hold tent. Only positive is they have grooves that fit the square tent legs. Good concept just needs work.

Excellent product. Very easy to fill with either sand or water and attatches to the support posts easily. We had some high winds that would have blown over any other secured canopy, but this stayed put!

Does the job...

I use these filled with water to anchor my ProShade 10x10 canopy on my concrete patio. The straps took a few attempts to get right since the instructions were not clear, but I do recommend these.

Just Right!

Bought these for a different brand, an E-Z Up Canopy Tent, and they fit perfectly, because of the adjustable straps. I wanted these so that they could be emptied and stored, rather than having wet sand mildew in nylon tubes like other brands. The handles are excellent for moving these around, and they weigh quite a bit filled, which I also wanted. Although I think they would be adequate by themselves, the E-Z Up tent came with plates that fit around the legs making a platform for the Eurmax jugs to sit on in addition to strapping on. Probably overkill since the straps themselves attach securely, but it can't hurt. Also, you can position these to stick out in 4 different directions from each leg, so if you're right next to other vendor tents, you can keep them inside and out of the way of your neighbors, or if your tent sits alone, you can have them stick outside the tent for a tad more room. In case it's not obvious, it you want weights for all 4 legs of your tent, you need to buy two of these two-packs. Keep the shipping boxes so you can stack them up easier for storage later rather than having them loose. All in all, an excellent solution! Highly recommended!

Necessity for folding canopies / tents!!!

The vendor event I was involved with required weights for the tents and canopies. With unexpected Gusty winds, I was very thankful for these weights. My husband filled them only halfway with water. Several unweighted vendor tents were damaged and one blew off the property!! These are wonderful and very easy to transport, then fill on site.

Would buy again

I use these every week at a farmers market. We chose to fill with 40 lbs of pebbles; and they have held down our tent very well in several high wind situations. Easy to install and there is a built in handle that's kind of hard to see in the picture.
